I just got my Gamo swarm magnum G2 .22 caliber today and I measured the cocking force, it was 80 pounds!! No joke. It shot straight through a 3/4" piece of plywood that was new, and a wet piece of 3/4" plywood with no problem. I was using Crossman 14.4g pointed lead pellets. I'm 459 feet above sea level. I don't know if I got a REALLY HOT rifle or this is just how badass the Gamo swarm magnum G2 .22 caliber is. I'm REALLY HAPPY with my Gamo swarm magnum G2. 22 caliber. I have a Hatson 135qe in .25 and the Gamo magnum. 22 caliber requires almost 50% more cocking effort, and has more power. I have some steel pellet swinging targets and the makes it flip one time around with a 19.9 g H&N field and target trophy pellets and with the Gamo magnum.22 it will make the swinging target do 3 rotations using the Crossman 14.3 pointed lead pellets!! The Gamo swarm magnum G2. 22 is a FREAKING BEAST!! 😍
Great camera work and slow motion capture footage, Ben! It looks like the Swarm Fusion is down on power compared to the older Whisper Fusion Mach 1 rifle's 33mm power piston? It looks similar but the power numbers are lower! Still waiting for Gamo to make their fixed barrel under lever CFR in .22 with the Swarm and Mach 1 power added. The best piston powered product for accuracy Gamo should be producing! Would gladly spend $100 more than the UX produced version!!!!!
So much structural and operational data in this review. It's a first class production. I ordered the Magnum 2nd generation and it's incredible. The single pellet loading helped me make the transition from pre-charged rifles by showing me the break-barrel close up in action. I have to say the 10 shot magazine has yet to fail me. I also had to double my backstop thickness. I'm looking forward to the increase in upper body strength from cocking this beast.
Been using the loading without a magazine since I got mine yesterday. Stinking thing didn't have one in the box. Cock the rifle, bring it back to a little under half, push down on the magazine holder THEN use a pellet pen to feed a pellet into the beach. Just had to get past way in. Remove the pellet pen and push the barrel back to full cock and the pellet pusher seats the pellet the same depth every time. Is not much worse then my non magazine air rifle but I'm not gonna lie. I'm REALLY going to love it when I get a magazine! I saw this tip on this video and also on AARs channel. Didn't expect to have to use it so soon. Also watched your cleaning/ removing the silencer video as the first thing I did was feed my Gamo cleaning cable down the gun and get it jammed into the silencer. It was a good day with some difficulties. Shoots great though.
Why would you single load it!!! If you want to single load just don’t buy the swarm additions!!! Buy a regular break barrel!!! The Gamo Swarms is wat got me back into break barrels!!! I love them specially the Magnum GEN 2
It's more about energy dump than about penetration. I have tried just about every hunting pellet out there and two best I found for high power break barrel pellet guns is #1...h@n terminator....#2...predator poly mags....I am shooting around 1100 fps in .22 and 1050fps in .177. I build fully modded custom built nitro piston guns (completely rebuilt and modded and tuned) . 20 plus years
Hate to say it but both the Fusion shots were low, and both the Magnum shots hit center mass. Wanted the Fusion but have been out of stock for ever. So picked up the Whisper for the grandson.
I agree, I thought the Fusion shots were lower. I've researched Fusion, Maxxim and Magnum and it appeared to me that the Fusion offered the best power and accuracy combo....but going by this video it would be the Magnum? Too late for me, my Fusion arrives this Fathers day! FYI The Gamo website has a Fathers Day sale going on... the Magnum is $239 (.177) and the Maxxim is $219 (.177) - the Fusion is still $299 😒 LOL
Fast question about the Gamo mags:Ben, what is the likely hood of the band, that holds pellet braking? Do you think it is a good idea to place a few drops of old on that band to make it last longer? How do you replace said band if it brakes?
For backyard plinking, 25 yds max, is this a little overkill? Ie should I go with something like a pneumatic pump, at probably stick with 500fps? I’m not exactly on a farm or isolated... surrounded by neighbors.
@MiGueLiooo Gonzalezzz Well my new 10xGen2 Swarm Fusion is just as accurate at 20-30 yds. I'll never use it for 50+ yards. Getting that kind of accuracy at that range also depends on what kind of ammo you are using. I'm using heavy. .22 14.3gr and so these pellets aren't flying out at over 800 fps. Actually I'm getting about 700fps. Perfect for backyard.
Hi Ben, Can you tell me if the Magnum is wider of beefier than the Fusion? I am most interested in the body width below the scope rail. How do they compare?
I live right at sea level on St.Augustine beach and i always get really high volocities out of my gen 1 swarm mag 22..in fact some of my other gamos that arnt rated at those speeds ends up cracking also..Gamo 22 mach 1 does it often..down here i have to put a layer of rolled metel flashing on back of 3/4 to because it goes through so easily..and even after hitting the same spot 3 to 4 times it breaks through that also..im at about 30 to 40 yrds using rockets getting these results..your extremly acurate on how much sea level effects these guns
I have the gen 1 whisper.. What's the difference between whisper, whisper fusion, and cant think of the 3 or 4 other names to go with this offhand, all are advertised at the same identical speed, but with different price points.. Im not talking magnum at all, just the full thick shrouded barrel guns
I hope someone can shed some light on this. In Europe the power output of these guns is restricted but I read somewhere that can be circumvented using a screwdriver and a drill. It is said to take only 5 minutes. Does anyone know how to go about? Some pointers would be really appreciated.
Hornets are the most accurate in my Swarm Magnum Gen2. Even with Crosman Premiers, the sound of the magnum hitting spinners sounds like a small firecracker going off. Over my chrony I get 29 ft/lbs vs 15.8 of my Swarm Maxxim Gen1. More difference than I was expecting. Love my Magnum. Thanks for another great video, Ben! 👍
No, Roadster is the European name for the Swarm Fusion. This is what i wondered about when purchasing mine, but i found the answer and the gun i recieved is the swarm fusion. Only thing is, i didn't get a scope in the box.
Hey Ben I just recently bought a new Swarm Hunter.22 cal.rifle from Gamo and am overwhelmingly estatic at the power displayed by it but no specs came with the rifle not pamphlet nor on the box and none was advertised on the website I purchased it from could check into this for me and post it for me thanks new shooter Peeksite
U were low on the fusion shot and dead center with the magnum with both targets. I have fired both. The magnum is more of a skull crusher, but a center shot with the fusion would’ve blown that tomato and egg apart no different. A better test would be a hunting pellet at 20 yards through various skulls, tins full of water, or anything that provides resistance. I agree with your ends, but your means I find flawed.
Shooting tomatoes and eggs, to demonstrate the difference in power?! You must be out of your fricking mind. There are at least two reasons to use these guns without the magazines (so, your comments like "but, why would anybody do that" etc.) only show how poorly you understand the topic called "airguns": 1. lots of "special" projectiles (pellets/slugs extremely long and heavy) just wouldn't fit into the magazine; 2. when testing the max accuracy, putting pellets in a "single load mode" is RECOMMENDED, to avoid the possibility of deforming the skirts of the pellet(s).

Was very curious if the Swarms could be “single” loaded. Thanks for the demo, and…
SUBSCRIBED!!!
What's the decibel / noise difference between the Gamo Swarm Fusion and Swarm Magnum, when shooting the same pellets? Thanks!
Same question I had. I need quite for backyard pests.

Im at sea level. Got full power.. Obviously doesn't matter with PCP.. But my 13XX love sea level. Great video .

Great video again, wanted the fusion.....but changing my mind now, magnum looks strong!
Hate to say it but both the Fusion shots were low, and both the Magnum shots hit center mass. Wanted the Fusion but have been out of stock for ever. So picked up the Whisper for the grandson.

Hello sir which one have more power Gamo Swarm Magnun .22 or hatsan 125 Sniper .22
Ben is awesome as usual.
Hi Ben, Can you tell me if the Magnum is wider of beefier than the Fusion? I am most interested in the body width below the scope rail. How do they compare?
What scope upgrade do you recommend?
What scope upgrade would you recommend for my Swarm maxxim .22? Under $200
I would like to know this as well. First time owner Gamo swarm fusion 22 gen2. Under $200
Is there a much diff between this and the gen 3 the gen 3 is like 75$ more they both say 1300 fps

What is best grain pellet for magnum for hunting? Or slugs are better? I was thinking 25-30gr. Thx
Would medium height scope mounts work fine? Or do I need to get the high ones?
GREAT REVIEW 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Which scope is good for this gun
I'm sold on the Magnum, simply by the power aspect.
As far as the domed pellet vs the hornet, the energy dump comes to mind.
Gel block?
Was anyone else excited when he said "turkey eggs" ???
How far away were you from the plywood?
I hope someone can shed some light on this. In Europe the power output of these guns is restricted but I read somewhere that can be circumvented using a screwdriver and a drill. It is said to take only 5 minutes. Does anyone know how to go about? Some pointers would be really appreciated.
Great work as always brotha 👏
Can gamo magnum use regular gen2 10x mags and not inertia fed ones?
Great vid...only thing I would say is if you are hunting small game it's More about Enrgey
Link to purchase?
You should try H&N terminators in a test like that
What do you do with all of those guns after your review

I was really looking for speed ! Looking for sub sonic but wanting around 900fps.
Thx ! by the way I was wondering: Is there any difference between the “swarm fusion 10xgen2 “ and the “roadster 10x gen2 “ ? Best regards!
No, Roadster is the European name for the Swarm Fusion. This is what i wondered about when purchasing mine, but i found the answer and the gun i recieved is the swarm fusion. Only thing is, i didn't get a scope in the box.
Full review hatsan striker 1000s please

Me&wifey loves your gamo smack smack smack videos lol.
I took off the mag mechanism and it loads just any break barrel.
Test h&n 21g slugs with gamo swarm magnum please

Love it 😊
Or the easy way. Leave your mag in the gun, load the single pellet in the mag and cock it👍
Why not in a .25 caliber
Well I'm in low elevation montana and still at 2 miles
Try the gamo swarm maxxxim gen 2 pls.
This is weapon
SM .22 IS THE BEST PREPPER GUN🙌
@TheTacos!RETURN 6616 Explain?
