How rude that of the near 2,000 people that have seen this, none have thought to post a thank you. For me and I'm sure many others you have saved a cherished pair of speakers. So thank you kindly for such a clear video. I was thrilled to replace my tweeter diaphragms and even more exited that i can again enjoy my music as I like to hear it.
I never would have attempted to replace the K-77-D diaphragm for the high frequency driver in my pair of Klipschorn AK5 speakers, but now I would have the confidence to do so, if I ever needed to repair/refurbish the high frequency drivers. I had always viewed speaker repair as a "dark art" best left to the technicians, but now I realize that Klipsch speaker repairs are not untouchable for the average handyman. This is an excellent video. Thank-you so much for posting it. - tim
Thanks!
Thank for posting! One thing to add...the new gaskets will compress over time. Giving the four phillips screws a second pass after a couple weeks of break-in will ensure nothing leaks / vibrates.
Thanks for posting this video. The instruction and detail were impeccable. I have a pair of Klipsch cornerhorns and I actually performed this replacement with no instruction about six years ago. After watching this video, I think I may have improperly orientated the diaphram when reinstalling.
So awesome. Bought these from them off eBay for 30 something bucks, used this video and took me about an hour. La scalas sound great again. Wish I had the solder sucker. Anyway it went well
It's awesome that you guys share all this.
Hi

Great video, much appreciated.
Very helpful, thank you.
Great video, very helpful, just wish it was zoomed in a bit more on the work, and not so far to the bottom of the screen. At times, was hard to see everything that was being done...but otherwise fantastic!
Still have my 50 yr old ev tweeters & horns & 15 " altecs w/ ev xover in garage. Time to open em up & see what I need to do.
Great video. Thanks.
