Infinity Speaker Repair Kappa Woofer and Polydome K Midrange Replacement

- In this video, we replace the Polydome K midrange with a newer version, and re-install the newly repaired Kappa 12" woofer into the Infinity 8 Kappa speaker system. Several Infinity speakers use this style of midrange, including 902-3075, 902-5793, 302794-001, Kappa 6, Kappa 6.1, Kappa 6.2i Series II, Kappa 7, Kappa 7.1, Kappa 7.2i Series II, Kappa 8, Kappa 8.1, Kappa 8.2i Series II, Kappa 9, Kappa 9.1, Kappa 9.2i.

This is great to know! I have some old AVDA or something like that, going based off memory as they're in my closet under some junk to protect them from dust, speaker boxes in which the woofer's surrounds have come apart due to age and use. Now I just have to figure out where to get surrounds that aren't for a surround sound stereo. That's hard in this day and age.
hey guys, i have some speakers that look like nothing is wrong with them but when i connect them no sound comes out from them. I've taken them out and replaced them in the working speaker box and still no sound. ive checked crossover but it works fine. so i know its not the crossover. any reasons why speaker would have no sound?
Usually, I “tighten” the screws by hand.
The speakers have internal issues (voice coil). They may look perfect, but will not work if there is a problem with the electronic portion of the drivers.

Thanks for the video, can anyone tell me where to get the screws for these drivers? My Kappa 8 screws are rusted and I'd like to change them out.
Get some Evapo-Rust and soak them overnight. Heat them til they turn black then dip them in oil.
Hello I have a big question, when you replace infinity woofers two in a speaker, do both woofers go positive to positive & negative to negative or do they end up switching the second woofer to positive to negative & negative to positive can you help me out
The dual woofers in the Kappa 9 system are wired in series.

I was unable to switch the tweeter setting .
The l-pad controls for the midranges and tweeters are a simple turn to adjust design. The difference is usually barely noticeable.
