Hi! Please recommend an adhesive brand, also. Transparent, not colored. Also, it will be great if you can provide also the cylinder that you used in order to prevent deformation of the coil support, while you were cleaning it. it was made special for this, or you did an improvisation from something? The other piece that you have used to put the plastic dome upside down, in order to glue the coil to it - it was a scotch tape cardboard support? What is the approximative lifespan of this new dome? Thanks in advance for replying!

      Hello,
unfortunately I can not tell you the glue I use. It should be an adhesive that can glue polypropelyn!
The cylinder is turned from a plastic
The dome should last very very very long
Around the cylinder is simply painter's tape

@@lautsprecherdoktor2922 polypropelyn or polypropylene? It's a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Now it's even more confusing. You won't just say what glue you use, then you throw out a mystery material and we're supposed to guess what proper glue to use.

Hi, are the domes from a soft material like rubber, or from hard plastic? They should definitely be like original ones, from silicone. The plastic ones are in general not being recommended. They totally change the sound, a different frequency. And you are assembling the parts easily like nothing, but it does not look to be centered at all. When you put the face plate on it, it looks to be out of the centre in the bottom half.

Polypropylen is hard plastic as far as I know. If this is true I don't think this is a good replacement diaphragm for the original soft one!

I bought two domes. they are made from polypropylene, and are soft, just like the original ones. Centering the coil on the new dome is simple, because the dome has a little groove where the voice coil sits in place. centering the assembly on the magnet is a bit more tricky. i personnaly connect a signal generatr when glueing, with a 200 hz sine wave, and if I don't hear any hamonics, that means I'm centered. Don't forget that unlike convetional speakers, polydomes don't have any spider to guide the voice coil. Only the diaphragm guides it. But overall, the whole operation is doable by a DIYer with a good attention and precise moves. The resulting sound is absolutly similar to the original diaphragm, don't worry about that. I have three pairs of Polydomes, and I will restore the other ones to extend my Kappa 9 life. Hope this helps.
