@mr man How could she have 'more stained wood' instead of painting it black? When the veneer is so badly damaged that it must be removed, and the base wood isn't good, adding back new veneer over the base wood is a LOT of work and not easy. I would have painted the damaged areas also, just as she did. An outstanding job with very little to work with, so much damage. Well done IMHO

It’s beautiful. I love the white washed contrast at the top. My eye wants to see a white washed rondel glued on, down the bottom where the cracked one was removed. This added bit would be like a full stop or little exclamation at the end of a well constructed sentence.

Glenda, you do great work bringing your projects back to life. Just a little note, you shouldn’t glue the drawer bottoms in. As you probably know, wood expands and contracts. By glueing the bottoms in, they wont be allowed to do that, thus adding stress to the rest of wood. Eventually your other joints will give. I hope this tip helps. God bless you, and your family.

Nicely done Glenda, you do good work and you have the patience to do well. Since you're moving up into professional status a couple of hints from an old painter.
When you're sanding slap your paper, sanding sponge, whatever into your other palm every few seconds. It throws the grit out of it so it's not getting rubbed back into your work. Also use a tack rag after you sand and wipe down to pick up smaller bits of grit that can ruin a good job.
Thirdly, (you may already do this), when you've finished spraying and cleaning your gun, leave the nozzle in the can with the top on in an inch or two of thinners. This will keep the nozzle clean and soften any paint that may be hiding in the airways.

I know this is an older video, but I just happened to stumble across it (again!!) and it is perfect for a waterfall vanity that I picked up yesterday that is in TERRIBLE shape. Mushy particle board at the feet, drawers in pieces, and even the structure that holds the "waterfall" veneer is in pieces. I figured I would salvage what I could and trash the rest, but this video makes me think I might (MIGHT, I say!) be able to save it. We shall see... Thank you for sharing your work!
