@@fortunefiderikumo Yeah. I run a 6950xt/5800x3d setup and I ran it on TSR. Which looks better than FSR, closer to native, that's what I prefer, I ran everything on its highest, turned down shadow to high, a lot of games the shadows really hit performance, this one is one of them games, anyway turned resolution scaling down to 65 and ran RT on, lowest setting of course but incorporates how RT uses the lighting effect in game and I got 70-90 FPS. Some people just don't know how to USE their equipment. Like OC'ing the GPU, knowing what each setting Really does, LMAO. I am an AMD guy so obviously RT is not really my target, but you can run it just fine if you know what your doing. NATIVE is my thing but can't with this game. But I'll damn well try n get as close to it as I can. But it's Nvidia's department. You cannot get an AMD card and complain RT doesn't work. I am gonna be picking up the 5090 when it drops. These new gen games need new gen tech, clearly you can't run this game with a 4090 COMPLETELY maxed out and get 60 using TSR, closer to Native than FSR or DLSS. Taht's true. I tested my 3090 at all highest setting possible, result in 5~10 fps, then dial it down to a lower one (very high to cinematic, no ray tracing, etc.), stablized around 70 to 90 fps. I did some screenshots, and tbh, not much difference at all. So I assume the developer prioritized optimizing for mid to low end PC gamers, which is wise imo

I tried it now with my 7900xtx combined with a 7800X3D.
At 3840 x 2160 at Cinematic Settings and FSR and Frame Gen enabled, I managed to get an average of 103 FPS my Maximum was 122 FPS and minimum 83 fps.
My GPU utilization was 98-99% by making use of the Adrenalin performance Overlay.
Keep in mind Ray Tracing is disabled

I try’d this benchmark on my 4090
4K all max settings full Rtx dlss set to 67 equivalent to (dlss quality) result was 76 fps with very smooth frame pacing.

If you use 50% resolution scale with dlss you get 100fps at 4K max settings with ray tracing and frame gen. You get a pretty consistent 97 to 100fps, with a low of only 80. Just tested it. Without ray tracing I was averaging 116fps, strangely with a low of 40 though.
If the 4090 needs all upscalers and fake frames to have somewhat playable framerates u can tell how far we still are from this tech to be a thing. And there is no visual improvement whatsoever with PT on, its rediculous.

One time for whatever reason Cyberpunk started on my Integrated Graphics card and everything was on high with ray tracing, it had probably 5 fps but it was running lmaoo
Idk, I'm running this bench mark with a 7900xtx, with the lg 39 inch and with everything max, super resolution at 100, ray tracing on very high including fluid motion frames 2 and I'm averaging 160 fps, no choppy experience what so ever. Even with frame generation off and fluid motion 2 on,I was averaging 95 to 100 fps, max everything.

Ran a few benchmarks myself. Just a copy-paste from another YT video I responded to:

Hello. My system is Ryzen 7 5800x3d 48 giga ram and rtx 4070 Ti. I left the same parameters here, but only in 1440p. And my result was 45fps.
A laptop rtx 4060 would run this better using frame generation and DLSS at 1440p

I'm going to be supporting this game because for one it looks GOOD, and for 2 they are openly rejecting the DEI nonsense that is ruining games...... that being said, his criticisms are not unfair, it's not unreasonable to expect a $900 card to be able to max out a game with playable frame rates.

Xtx could do pretty well. Check out the rdna 3 path tracing optimisation mod for cyberpunk. Coupled with the fsr 3 enabler mod xtx pushes good fps with path tracing on. Too bad no official update like that

I feel his frustration because it does seem like the majority of devs are pandering to people with Nvidia cards..... which in turn forces more people to Nvidia whether they want it or not.

@@HPblu3 The number 1 reason that it's a bad idea to pander heavily towards Nvidia is that while they may own the PC market, AMD owns the console market, and by pandering heavily towards Nvidia, they make porting work and cross compatibility between the platforms more difficult. The number 2 reason it's a bad idea to pander heavily towards Nvidia is that they push closed technologies whereas AMD pushes open technologies that work on the vast majority of hardware(including Nvidia). The number 3 reason is that PC gaming has always been about freedom of choice, and by forcing people into one or the other, you're going against that very principal, the thing that makes PC gaming so desirable in the first place.

1. I never heard about games being based on different GPU's having a problem or making it more difficult when it comes to porting or cross compatibility.
2. Why should I care if it's open source or not? I'm not a conspiracy theorist that needs to see the code to believe that they are not spying on me and even if they would, I really don't care, I have nothing to hide.
3. Your last point just sounds a bit dumb.
No one is stopping you from using whatever hardware you want, you can still play whatever you like with whatever hardware you so desire.
In this case the person in the video is trying to play the game with an option (in this case Path Tracing) that was designed by Nvidia for Nvidia.(why would they care about their competitor?)
All AMD has to do is create and implement their own cores dedicated to Ray Tracing and Path Tracing.(atm they only have something called "ray accelerators" for their architecture which are weaker than Nvidia's cores).
When it comes to options like Ray and Path Tracing, DLSS, Frame Generation etc. , they have all been pioneered by Nvidia and AMD just adapted to it with their own.
If AMD will decide to implement cores dedicated to Ray Tracing in the future then no one using AMD will have any problem running games with Path Tracing.
It's just another technology like the others on which AMD has to follow-up.
Dude ray tracing is not nvidia specific.... it's just that AMD cards suck at it.

Oh my. Don't you even read the text (nVidia Full Ray Tracing) in settings? AMD graphic card doesn't support nVidia's RT. If you turn it on, how do you expect your AMD card to work??
No suprise there, even my rtx 4090 was struggle to run at native 4k while ray tracing turning on. My card only got around 18fps during benchmark.. only thing i can do to reach above 60fps was turn on FG and set dlss to performance.

Running on a 4090 with a mix of Cinematic to high settings @ 4k. DLSS on, turned off frame gen, RT off. Getting steady 80-100 fps. There is occasional stutters that are annoying. Man this game makes my cpu and gpu fans sound like a jet engine which i dont like.

On my 4080 1440p at cinematic and max rt I was getting 27-33 no upscaling, so the xtx getting a third of that or so seems about right. I think pure raster it’s tied or beats the 4080 just a bit. You don’t buy AMD for PT/RT anyway. I love my 7900xt for Linux and VR, different strengths on each card
It's a Nividia sponsored game so I'm expecting better optimisation on those cards especially when running Ray-tracing and DLSS..this just proves if you want a good RT experience you need Nividia 💪💪

Just turn off the RT settings and use FSR FG and the game will run fine on your PC. I don't know if this will make you happy, but the RTX 30 series cards also cant run RT well in this game. The RTX 40 series is 2.5x faster compared to the RTX series in this benchmark, so the vast majority of gamers will play this game without RT anyway.
I don't think anyone is going to play this game with RT sadly 😔.
@@frogboyx1Gaming The game is very demanding (it's even more demanding than Hellblade 2 that use lumen, nanite and virtual shadows), so I have to make some compromises, but I'll definitely be playing this game at full RT.
On my RTX4080S I get 99 fps without RT and 77 fps with full RT (4K performance downscaled to 1440p, max settings with DLSS FG on). That's only a 22% relative performance difference.
At 2160p, DLSS 75% resolution scale, no FG, and maxed out settings with full RT I get 33fps. I've played at 30fps on consoles for over 2 decades, so the game would be still playable to me even at these settings. With DLSS FG it's 54fps.
At 1440p DLSS Quality I dont even need FG to get over 60fps (63fps), but I prefer 4K DLSS performance because I get much better image quality thanks to DLDSR downscaling and 77fps with DLSS FG is still enough for me.
Right now I'm playing Alan Wake 2 with similar settings (4K, DLSS performance and DLSS FG) and the game is absolutely joy to play at this framerate. I tried playing the game with real 70-100fps (without FG and Path Tracing) and the game was as playable as with 70-100fps fake (generated) frames.
Without FG, I would normally limit performance to 45 fps if the game dipped below 60 fps, as I can see a very noticeable difference in smoothness between 60 and 45 fps. Thanks to DLSS FG however I no longer care about sub 60fps dips, because I can no longer see them :P (because anything above 60fps starts to look good to my eyes). This technology works like magic on my VRR monitor.

Yeah funny I have been with AMD since they were ati and if it was really like you say do you not think I woulda switched to Nvidia? Only Nvidia cards I did have gt750 and gtx 280 both sucked and been with AMD ever since. Only time AMD can't run RT is when Nvidia pay em to gimp it on AMD.

So, I bought the game because it looks good, but I also bench marked it as well with my system. i9-13900k asus rog strix 4090 and 32gb of DDR5 6400MHZ. 1440p, max settings (cinematic), full ray tracing on very high, NO FRAME GEN, and I averaged 138fps. This is why I'll never buy AMD. They just aren't up to par. This game is clearly tough to run for AMD cards. You getting 7 FPS though is weird.

It definitely seems to be an Nvidia title...... Got an RTX 4060TI 16GB, I averaged 24FPS when I ran the same settings as your second run @1440P, FSR -75%, FG - Off, Ray tracing - Very High, Quality preset - Cinematic. A 4060TI is doubling the FPS of a 7900XTX in this game at the same settings and that probably shouldn't be happening.

@@derrickglory5d557 It is a little ahead, but not so much where a $450 card should ever be doubling the frame rate of a $900 card. Right now this just seems like the game isn't as optimized for AMD cards. A $900 card should be able to max this game out and have a playable experience.
So i tried this on my RX6800XT at 1440p so far i am happy with the result getting lows: 63 average: 75 highest: 85 (NO RT ON) TSR and Frame Gen: On. so i'm a happy camper with the result at least on this one map. the only thing that i notice is they tide everything on Nvidia Ray Tracing like darker shadow and brighter lighting and reflection of the water if only they implement some HDR in this game. which can remedy the short coming of the lighting and shadow.
My new OLED monitor makes this game color really pops and does help with enhancing the lighting and shadow.

Not really a path tracing card/ray tracing card especially without frame gen. DLSS 78 Getting 45 average with the 4080 without frame gen and cinematic on high ray tracing with frame gen 80 fps.with the same resolution ultra wide

I am running max settings on a 4090 at 1440p and hitting 160fps with DLSS. DLSS off hitting average 70fps. Game looks incredible.
The 4090 bench I saw earlier had similar results with RT on.

To me it seems like AMD needs to release an updated driver for the game. It probably won't help much with the ray tracing performance but even with ray tracing off, my 6700XT desktop is performing about the same as my 4060 laptop.

Nah. I'm testing this on an RTX 3050 4GB rn. I didn't even think the game will work properly, but the benchmarks are showing me an average of 78 FPS. Initially I tried it with DLSS on, although I can't do frame generation with it because it's a 30 series card, and it averaged at 48 FPS. When I tried it with FSR, however, the results were significantly better. The only problem I faced was them telling me that the low VRAM might be a an issue, but regardless, I don't see why a better PC would struggle to run this way better than what's considered a 'good experience'.
Edit: Medium was their recommended settings, so that's what I tested on.
The benchmarks for this game literally exclude all AMD cards for RT even though the lightweight 4060ti card is listed. Just shows the tricks Nvidia pulls and that this AMD RT performance is fake. Yeah it's pretty worthless honestly it looks nice but you are basically making it unplayable with RT.
I get 60 fps on an RTX 4080 super with everything on Cinematic and Full Ray Tracing.
My resolution is 3440x 1440.
If it has FSR 3.1 you should try performance mode or ultra performance with RT maybe. I'd just turn it off myself. Never use it anyway even when it works. Adds latency. On any GPU they hold up quite well on FSR 3.1.
lets start with the RTX 4090.. if rtx 4090 owner says to forget about RT than forget about it.. Man your overlay is garbage and you are to lazy to fix it..

On my RTX4080S, the difference in performance between having RT on and having it off is relatively small at 4K DLSS performance and Frame Generation. I get 99fps without RT and 77fps with full RT, so I plan to play this game with RT.
I get much better performance at 1440p DLSS quality (I dont even need FG), but the game uses a very strong sharpening mask, so I prefer 4K DLSS performance because downscaling to 1440p (DLDSR) reduce that oversharpening a lot.
I just did a quick test of this benchmark tool @ 1440p Very High Preset.

Full ray tracing was the name nvidia used at computex in june - I think it's either path tracing or new path tracing without cheating (higher requirements). Nvidia has also shown infinite details path tracing and forest demo.
NVIDIA started calling it "full ray tracing" back when introducing Cyberpunk Overdrive mode in April 2023.

Naw you won't say that next year when amd has double ray tracing performance over this gen. Drvs will utilize whatever tools they have at hand. And as we knew ue5 is extemeely demanding even without ray tracing! So it's not to prop up nvidia. You can't be a youtuber and have bias views like that. The point of pc is customzation and a big part of that is settings. All optimization is reduction. It's scrubbing, coding reductions with internal resolutions, details and textures to get things to run better. So instead we get all of the best they have here and we get to reduce things. You can't even see a difference between high and the highest settings so it's not a big deal imo. Adjust and enjoy finally back to the good old pc days with much more advanced software. Software will always always be ahead of hardware. Also this game cripples the 4090 also!
This is the finite with the most advanced next generation engine and it's just the start. So get ready and people should be happy we have the ability to adjust to get the game to run well on our systems. I don't get what's a big deal? Either optimization on a reduced version of the game or have the option of everything so for future hardware it can take advantage of it and at the moment we can reduce the settings to where we can run them well across the board. It's not hard to understand what's happening.

@@frogboyx1GamingI mean it seems to be fine on Medium which is probably closer to standard RT maxed out. RT off falls back to Lumen lighting which I think is pretty solid on its own. Just reflections that aren't as good.

It's interesting that this creator thinks AMD cards are being crippled by anyone other than AMD. It's a budget product that competes with itself and Intel. AMD is nowhere near Nvidia in market share or R&D team size and funding. AMD will never compete with Nvidia unless Nvidia allows it by getting lazier than they already are.
Sadly AMD market share is small and they gambled and said Ray tracing wasn't important years back and now they are generations behind Nvidia and even behind Intel in ray tracing performance.
If you want to use cutting edge features in games and Max settings then you need a cutting edge card aka an RTX 4080 super or 4090. Even then, UE5 is still being updated and it's extremely demanding.

AMD is generations behind in ray tracing because they gambled and didn't prioritize it back at the launch of the 2000 series from Nvidia. Well they gambled wrong and lost badly. AMD is a much smaller company with fewer resources. Which is why their market share for desktop GPU is so small. Under 15% and dropping. Their cards are great for rasterisation and more budget friendly but very very far from cutting edge sadly.

My 7900XTX was clearly superior to the 4080 Super. Only a handful of games have a significant RT boost on Nvidia cards.

Ray and Path tracing is a joke, it's nothing more than a gimmick for NVidia to sell gpus.
Ray Tracing maybe doesn't make that much of a difference but Path Tacing is a HUGE upgrade, you just have to be blind or a hater to say it doesn't.
