I have long, medium density, coarse curly hair and leave in sprays just don't to it for my hair. Will I be able to get the same amount of volume with leave in creams and heavier gels? PS: Love your vids, you help and inspire me every day 💞
Are there additional challenges when taking care of wavy/curly GREY hair? I have seen comments throughout the curly haired community indicating that grey hair is a whole new game, but I have never found any RUclipsr address how grey hair may actually act differently or need different considerations when caring for it. If grey hair is more challenging to care for, I would love to see a video about it.
Hello Mell! Can you help explain why for some curlies humidity actually WEIGHS DOWN our hair? :( It literally just "re wets" my hair and makes it "wet/frizzy"... Horrible! It does the exact opposite of giving me volume. Why does it happen and how can I manage it?
Hi Mell!! I am new to your channel and I love it!!!!! I have learned so much!! I wanted to know what you suggest I am doing incorrectly if I am experiencing hair "deflation" so to speak, I have 2c-3A curls and I LOVE big hair with lots of volume, but it seems to deflate 20 min later after I diffuse it, but looks great immediately after I diffuse. I have no idea what I am doing wrong?????

Omg. I am so glad you posted this. I used to wear my hair curly about ten years ago. It was big and voluminous... People would gush over it and complement it. But now that I am back to curly but this time not using the products that made my hair feel like cement it's not even a third that voluminous. I need all the help I can get.

This routine was great! I tried it on my extremely fine, very low density, thin hair and it was amazing. I had volume, i had curl and i got lots of compliments! Day two hair looked amazing also but i had to wash it after that because i already had an appointment to get some braids but please believe when the braids come out, this is my new go to!

I don't/ can't diffuse either. When I've tried, it just gets a ton of halo frizz, and I end up with almost straight hair if I try to do it upside down!!

I needed this my hair is super fine . When I try to style it curly it just ends up looking even thinner and stringy and oily. It’s so frustrating!! And if I put nothing in it it will curl when it’s wet and then go straight 😢

That Aveda thickening tonic is so good it's the best volumizing spray product I've tried. Strong smell and it is quite pricey tho.

Thank you for this video! My hair is exactly what you described: bleached, fine, high porosity and low density. Basically super difficult to work with, and my #1 goal is volume and hiding my scalp, which is why things like the Denman brush don’t work for me (I would end up with like 4 curls lol). The pick trick to lift the roots when diffusing is BRILLIANT! 🤯

hairspray! that'll add extra hold on top of gel/mousse! & haha i love that! Keep that purple hair dry (dont wet often) to keep it long lasting!

I need this video. I had finally fallen in love with my curls thanks to your videos. Then my dumb butt went and got a haircut by someone who specializes in color (and my color looked amazing) but not curly hair and my curls haven't looked the same since. 😭💔 Volume is gone and my curls look bottom heavy
Aww no dont stress you just need your layers cut. It sounds like she just cut your perimeter or didnt take enough off of your layers. If you have Bottom heavy curls you just need some form of layering. This will soften the line around the bottom perimeter and add so much volume and bounce to the inside of the hair. So please don't cry, this is totally fixable. I know the struggle of trusting hairstylist with curls lol. I am a semi retired hairstylist and I am the only one that touches my curls.
