- Opening pass of F-35 after the national Anthem down pit straight. This was a sight to behold, I got a face full, and ear full of the cracking, growling, menacing afterburner, upon the amazing pilot deciding to pump it vertical, seemingly right above my position. I honestly have to invest in a better Camera, and learn how to better capture these mind blowing moments. Thankyou to the RAAF pilot and maintenance engineers, staff who delivered this awesome show 🚀😃
what an amazing engine.
Crazy how it just points its nose at will
The pilot was working it Hard, I saw he made an appearance at the Gold Coast event. The pilots name was Ross Bowman, he said he was so exhausted after his performance that he could hardly talk to RAAF Air traffic Control.
@@ilikethestock1445 Its a workout. Sick video ;)

Mad, captured that beautifully
Awesome. I'm Aussie but I live in live in LA and go to many airshows filled with 100's of insane aircraft. My fav is the F-35. The Pratt Whitney engine is insane. Honestly - fly up to the Gold Coast for the Pacific Airshow Aug 18th - 20th. First time ever a full American Airshow is coming to Oz. Worth every cent. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for your comments Mark, I will not miss the Pacific Airshow, I am fully booked in, got accommodation near beach front, and premium ticket , Can't wait for this one. 😀
I was there. Bit further up front straight. It scared the shit out of everyone nearby me. Nobody was expecting it to come back
I know just before the national anthem in its handling display it looked crazy low from where we were on a few passes.
WoW, It must have been right above you when Ross went vertical, it was the loudest I have experienced, and I have seen quite a few. I will make any excuse to witness these displays 😃
@@ilikethestock1445 the loudest I've heard was the B1 bomber lighting up all 4 afterburners.
The F35 does have one huge engine though
@@AJS86 I witnessed the B1 at Avalon, that Take off and Subsonic passes were mind blowing, I am sure he must have Lit that Burner at Bathurst when he went over the start line, and we both received an earful 👍😃
@@ilikethestock1445 there was one low pass at Bathurst that even had my dad wondering how they're allowed that low. Looked only about 100ft up.
Came in super low and kicked left over the front straight. Vortices from wings even looked like they blew the front straight flags about
@@AJS86 I liked that Pilot, A lot, He must have an extra G Harness for his Gonads 😂
0:15 my reaction exactly
This is real horsepower
The pilots who handle these machines are riding one hell of a bucking Bronco, I heard the pilot ' Bunga ' interviewed after that display, and he said he was totally spent 😮
Real horse power are the mig 25 and mig31 engines
@@Alex-cn9ot Horsepower, sure. Reliability, not in the vocabulary. Lol
Did you hurt your ears?
everyone talked shit about it, but its fucking loud and fast
Normally at airshows they fly in a Safe zone away from public. I love the Supercar displays , as you get the full Monty right in your face. You basically get tea bagged by an F-35's full naked thrust 😊
@@ilikethestock1445 yeah and its the most powerfull just engine on earth
