I’ve been with Crete 15+ years. You have absolutely told the truth in this video. Congratulations on your one year anniversary. Want to add I have driven over 2 million miles with them - so what you experienced has held up for 15+ years. Wait until you start getting your profit sharing.
CONGRATS on your one year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If management sees this video, they will make you their national spokesperson! Great job and good luck in your future with Crete!
Good afternoon, Tyler! Crete is a great company and you are a great driver! It is refreshing to hear how good things are for you. As always, it's great to hear from you and roll safe out there!
I’m on the Walmart Mankato, MN dedicated fleet and I live in Lakeland, FL. If you live near Mankato you can make over $100K and go home everyday practically.
I’ve been here for over 6 years. I live in Alabama but run out of North Platte Walmart majority of the time. They get me national freight home and then back out to North Platte…I completely agree with you as far as Crete being great. Won’t say I haven’t had issues but nothing crazy. This company has gone out of their way multiple times to help me out that I know for a fact other companies wouldn’t have. For being a mega carrier, I don’t feel like I work for one. Things as simple as being referred to by name, instead of a truck number, goes a long way with me. Made a lot of friends that are drivers, as well as office staff. Communication and the willingness to work goes a long way with Crete. I definitely plan on retiring here. Good video man!
That’s a good situation you have to be able to run that account! Yes I agree that it’s not perfect but no company is and I think it’s better then most overall. Thanks for watching man I really appreciate it!
Hey Tyler, I am aplying to Crete and its going well so far (hopefully it works out and I'll be heading to orientation within a few days), I applied for the reefer division since I had experience in that field, also OTR, they said I would start off at .62, maybe even .65 a mile, my worry is being on the reefer division, there are plenty of reviews of the dry side and it sounds great, the miles look good and the pay looks good, but there isn't much information on the reefer side, is the miles and pay still similar to the dry side? Could you offer any insight? Thank you!
I have no experience on the Shaffer side but I’d be willing to bet that it’s good too. What I would do personally is start out doing reefer and if you don’t like it after 3-6 months then switch over to the dry van side.
As a Shaffer driver for the past 11 years it's just as great over here, more drop and hooks than we had back then but the average is just as good and the pay is awesome.
I'm in truck driving school. I'll probably start out at Schneider because they take brand new drivers. But after I get a year otr. I wanna work for Crete or Shaffer
Can I ride with you lol. I have my CDL and I know you would be a great trainer. I need the experience I only have 3 months maybe 4 months. What do you think would be a great place for me to work? My plan is to go solo.
