Thank you for this video, I'm currently driving for Ashley PNW which is the 11 western that Wilson sold to Ashley last Dec or Jan. I thought I was going to work for Wilson , the recruiter called just before I boarded the bus and said, " full disclosure, Ashley PNW just bought Wilson!" I worked for Crete/Shaffer back in '05-'07, and they were a good company. However I have to say I really like the contact with fm, I don't feel like just a number. I also love the inverters so I can eat healthy.! From what you said I'm also glad we use Qualcomm vs Peoplenet. It sounds way faster and easier. I haven't tackled the vacation pay hurdle yet, haven't even asked for it so we'll see. I always keep my options open in trucking so who knows what Color of truck I'll be driving next lol! Be safe out there!
@@chassadventures9243 I actually retired, it didn’t take lol! I missed trucking so twelve years later I came back out, put myself through Wilson’s training program to get my CDL again, which I was stupid enough to let go and they had the best, most cost effective training program out here! And I found out of all the companies I’ve worked for over the years I’m happier here than any of the others.
My Hubby Drives for Crete. I just found you and you seem like such a sweet Person. I think you will be really Happy with Crete...Hubs loves it here. Stay safe out there!!
They do all come with refrigerators. But no apu or tv hook up. I haven’t really had any issue without the apu once I learned how to use the auto start. They do have inverters and I have a microwave, toaster, fans ext. that all runs fine.
June will be my 18th year with Crete. Crete will take care of you if you'll work. Yep that People Net sucks, but i hear they're coming out with a new tablet soon. I got into a dedicated acct now. No nights and only a 5 day work week
I also made the jump from Wison to Crete and could not be happier. Better pay, better benefits, no smart ass fleet managers (JT) and trainers who actually train and do not treat as a slave. No comparison. Crete all the way
considering making a switch to crete carrier. currently with unfi, a local food delivery company and its 100% touch freight. good pay and good experience but i just want to drive and clock those miles and earn the most money i can. plus i do enjoy being on the road too
I was running the mid west region when I made this video. I’m currently on a Kimberly Clark dedicated account right now. Crete try’s to let us do as much drop and hook as possible to keep us going.
I got my CDL through Wilson logistics and fulfilled my training contract with them as well. I also did the lease purchase program with them and made a lot of money. It was really fantastic and when they say it’s 100% walk away it truly is there were no hidden fees or entanglements. However, I am also with Crete now and I must say that I really like this company. It’s fantastic the step I’m going to take from here is to buy my own truck. I’ve been in the game now for six years and I got my start with Wilson logistics and whether you’re a company driver or do the lease purchase program I still think they’re a great company. I’m probably going to buy my own truck and then try to lease on with Crete because I’m running 90+ percent drop and hook and consistently well over 3000 miles every week.
This is the first video of yours that I've watched and you are absolutely adorable! Great info between the two companies. I've heard wicked things about Wilson, and I've heard great things about Crete just like you've said. I subbed on to watch your adorable personality and delivery as well as any rad info you can lay down about Crete. Please travel safely...
Lol the Peoplenet omg yessss I don’t like it but I love the miles at Crete. Been here 2 weeks already and so far it’s good minus peoplenet, how they send directions and lol all the paperwork to send in
I think Wilson has smaller class size. And you shouldn’t have to wait very long for a trainer, which I’ve heard there is a waiting list at prime. But after training prime has more options and bonuses. You can’t go wrong either way, there isn’t much difference.
Having been with Crete for 10 years, welcome to the company. As I type this comment, I am home taking some vacation time.

Kinda curious what made you switch companies?

I got a CDL with Wilson too and left. Thankfully I didn't go lease. I am starting a dedicated account with Crete this week. Good luck!
Awesome! Good for you. Which dedicated account? Just curious.
@@chassadventures9243 Its Kellogg out of Kentucky. Similar to Midwest regional, 5 days on and the weekend off.
Good video. I was thinking about coming to Crete. I heard their trucks don't have APU's, Refrigerators, Tv hook up, Etc.

We have refrigerators power inverters that’s pretty much it. They had apu’s.

Peoplenet is as about the same as Qualcomm, they're both good.
Great video hey so what do u use for directions getting to shippers and receivers
I use the navigation on the people net tablet, also google maps on my phone, and I have a trucker garmin. I will do a video on this soon.
Use your form, request directions, always.

Your off days… if you’re out three weeks are you home three days and then back out on the fourth?
considering making a switch to crete carrier. currently with unfi, a local food delivery company and its 100% touch freight. good pay and good experience but i just want to drive and clock those miles and earn the most money i can. plus i do enjoy being on the road too
I don’t blame you. I still think Crete is an awesome company. If you do you can use me as a reference if you want my driver code is MORC09
does wilson have a guaranteed minimum weekly pay? if not what were you averaging a week?
No, no guaranteed pay.
That might have changed since I left then. Because I did not. I had some very small checks.
Crete will sell you a truck, but they dont lease. You need some down payment but you are actually buying it. No lease crap here at all.
Great video
Are there tv’s and WiFi in there trucks
No that is up to the driver if you want that
Do you do slot if night driving?
Are you still there?
Im at crete
Welcome aboard, keep making videos. You can send messages on Peoplenet. 👍
Have you known anyone at yellow! I start the academy Monday
Does Crete have radios in the truck or do you go to buy your own?
You have to buy your own cb, but there is a built in antenna
I have a CDL, who do you suggest going with?
Crete carrier is a good company
@chassadventures9243 yeah I have a new CDL, my apologies for not staying that. I was told I need 1year of experience to work there
Do you have to pull Shaffer reefer loads?
No not in my experience. Working for Crete I only pull dry van.
Hi thanks for the info
Are you otr?
What's you aveg miles per day in werner in. Aveg 2400 miles a week aver load is 600 miles
No I’m Midwest regional so I only work 5 days a week. average 2300mi/wk OTR you could probably get 3,000.
Are u on an acct … or drop and hook any acct dedicated acct
I was running the mid west region when I made this video. I’m currently on a Kimberly Clark dedicated account right now. Crete try’s to let us do as much drop and hook as possible to keep us going.
Lets drive together and get married afterwards
Wilson same as prime
Yeah Wilson's basically the stepchild of prime
No one has told you about peoplenet's,,,,,,,,connected driver app??
Yes I have that but it doesn’t do much or work very good. The only thing I find it good for is reading messages. None of the other things work.
Wilson is a joke!!! One of the worst. Right up there with crst, england etc...
U get 7days off for a week vacation but only get paid for 5 days.
Cool thanks for the info
Wil-Trans is a horrible company. They are professional liars. I was there for 6 weeks. Crete is an awesome company, especially for a mega carrier.
Have a shop swap your tablet. It should not be running slow
I have found if I shut it down and restart it when it starts being slow and acting funny it’s fine. So I do that about once a week.
A real truck driver will not do youtube video
can ya dm me? i got a few questions about your experience at wilson
I don’t know how to do private messages on you tube. You can send me your questions or email me at chasmorris25@gmail.com

You look familiar. Do you post on scs forums ats section
No I’ve never posted on a forum
I’m trying to decide between Wilson or prime to get my CDL do u think prime is the better option?

What is the speed on Crete trucks? Like 72 on pedals and 78 cruise? Or they are not governed?
65 on the pedal and 68 on cruise. Now if you get stopped for speeding they will turn your truck down to 62
