Your videos are so sweet and beautiful. I've said this so many times before. Your videos have so much simplicity and authenticity in them. It's like sitting at home and travelling to so many countries in Europe. Seeing the non-touristy places and prices helps me chalk out my future cycling trips.
Thank you ever so much for that. May you both always be blessed and happy.
    ATB,
    That Travelling Guy....

If you had cycled 2 km to the city centre of Rimini, you would have found a happening small city with everything and Roman ruins. A shame you didn't ask someone. Anyway, I love your honesty in your videos. I've learnt so much.

We actually entered the city center! If I remember correctly we were looking for a cafe 🙈

I was in Ugljan/Croatia this spring (April-May) and in April it felt like there was an apocalypse and I was the only survivor 😂 But it was amazing. No people but all supermarkets open - the employees sat there the whole day and had nothing to do.
I had all the beautiful bays and beaches for myself. One of the best experiences in my life.
Even at the end of May there were barely tourists because the sea was still quite cold after the rainy spring.
But I have to add that on the island Ugljan there are living about 6000 locals, so in the villages it wasn’t like a ghost town.

We arrived in Italy at dusk the day the camping grounds closed for the season and had to spend a night in the tent on the steep side of the road. It is a horrible monoculture.

I expect you’re home now….but if not there’s a fantastic cycle route from Venice to Munich……ik case you don’t want to take the train. I’ve enjoyed watching your tour from the start. Thanks so much.

Yes! We wanted to do that, but changed plans due to prices for accommodation and weather 😅

Oh no! Don't tell me that the trip is nearly completed! You're not allowed to stop :-) I'm now used to both of you, each with your own characteristic, nice, different personality.

Umwelt kam direkt danach. Platz 3 ging an die zusätzlichen (vermeidbaren) Kosten. 😊

Wow, I never would have thought everything would close up, even supermarkets. I'm wondering if it happens here in NZ, but I'm sure there would always be some places for Alex's and Vanessa's to stay and get food. I feel your holiday has accomplished something, maybe you dont need the new places and the new sights, your trip obviously started well before this, you have each other. No, keep traveling, there is a big world out there, which sadly does seem to be changing quite rapidly, but share it with each other. I haven't watched all your vlogs yet, RUclips gives them in no order. Thanks, and take care.

Of course, generally speaking, supermarkets don't close. In super touristy places were 90% of people are tourists, both from abroad or Italians that have a there an holiday house, when the season shuts down almost everything shuts down. Ancona though is a regular town and nothing shuts down in September

    • @phillipbateman2284
      @phillipbateman2284 Год назад

@@Alby_Torino I do feel sorry for the 10% locals who struggle to survive in a seasonal town. There is only one town in NZ that caters to tourists to ahigh degree, Queenstown, but it still functions between seasons popular in summer, and again in winter for skiing. I think it's shops and hotels are staffed mainly by tourists who await the season they desire.

    • @Alby_Torino

@@phillipbateman2284 ...And in that area there are tons of holidays houses, so the places were those "second houses" are more common, turn into ghost towns. Simply there're not enough people to justify working services. Late September and the first week of October can be very warm, so in the weekends people may come back. But sometime it's already quite chilly, so, (as you can check in the following video) when you get +3° in the morning, well you'll have empty beaches, I guarantee you this. Of course the tourist offer of Italy is definitely huge, in some areas of Tuscany (far from the seaside) or in the Langhe, for example, the season STARTS in the early Fall.
