Dev went off the deep end and instead of harbouring good faith with the community and allowing word of mouth to increase the playerbase (as it had been for several months in a row based on his own posts in the game's discord), decided to use insane gacha systems as a money printing machine for advertising and plans to continue doing so. Patched down to either waiting for just under 4 years to obtain the top tier roll or paying hundreds (at least it's not thousands?). Has also taken to fallaciously claiming everyone that brings up complaints as some fringe member or not part of the "true" community. Not supporting inflammatory comments in response to patches, but good faith criticism does not invalidate you from being part of the community, and lumping people making valid critiques in with people just being rude is ridiculous.

As a person who is entirely f2p and has kattlecruk gear, I am aware that the pet system is absolutely ridiculous. It looks like it came straight out of a page of roblox developer books, with the overpowered bonuses and genuinely baffling f2p earn rates alike. I am not on the say of developer ethics and stuff like that because I genuinely barely hang out with the community outside of the game itself, not even their discord server or steam comments or groups. However, the reason I have a problem with your comment, even though it may be hyperbolia since you didnt speicifcally mention multiple apart from putting system in plural, is that you mention the MULTIPLE gachas that work like this..? Well I can name a bunch that ARE gacha but none of them are actually inflammatory or even are able to paid for to begin with. Arcade is just a pachinko machine that gradually becomes more and more f2p friendly as you play the game and unlock more ways to boost ball gain and have more chances at rewards. Secondly, the pachinko rewards arent NEARLY as ridiculously overpowered as the later pets, and are mostly just harmless items and at worst a few stamps that have minute bonuses to the thing you are getting them from. Other gacha systems in the game are either from items that you get from events, which arent and never were able to paid for, or the other luck-based skillings like alchemy and cooking. Which also are entirely f2p and dont even have the option to be better by exclusively paid gambling methods, or a week long wait time for a singular opportunity. The pet rewards, though, feel like they could have been like rift rewards, it genuinely feels incredibly douchy to put them behind a gambling- and/or paywall that is incredibly user unfriendly to the point that it reaches the levels of chinese mobile games with and/or themed entirely around copyrighted content that they do not own, like anime, videogames, or both. I understand that due to all these systems coming BEFORE the pet system means that he was 100% aware he could've just made the system more f2p firendly, and that that makes his decisions even more greedy, but to say that he has done something like pets BEFORE pets to the same greedy and scummy degree is just a lie. Also banned a bunch of people who called him out on that. Dev doesn't take criticism well. Some of the people he banned were the people who originally supported his community and wrote documents to help new players navigate the buggy game.
some of the op pets (which are very rare, like 2.50% or less for some, as well as only getting weekly opportunities to get one if you don't pay money) include: +25 level to all talents(pretty strong early and very strong late game), activating all world 5 divinities (this basically means that you can stack multiple of VERY powerful endgame bonuses), +100% drop rate and exp (this isn't exactly double, but it is still absolutely massive early and midgame, as well as lategame for some great buffs), all large alchemy bubbles count as equipped (these bubbles are strong buffs for mid and late game), on and on. Those are just the bonuses for some of the first few pets, more will be added as well. Tbh this is my least favorite update for a while, right ahead of dungeons :/ I feel like the game should be about optimizing randomness, not just gambling for incredible buffs. This is from the pov of someone who does not pay attention to discord stuff either.

As someone who played this and stopped around when world 3 came out, there is a secret class if you were to continue past Prometheus without selecting any class and in the carrot area, there is a bush with eyes which will give you quests to obtain said class.
I STRONGLY caution anyone to not play this game. I have over 10,000 hours in the game and the dev has recently lost his mind, adding basically mandatory features that cost $500+. DO NOT waste your time on this game.

Without doot you have to have at least 6 characters in the lab at all times meaning anyone without doot not only missing out on the MASSIVE bonuses, but can only use 4/10 of their characters. It's still 2 years then, for bonuses that should have been gotten in game. it's an idle game/incremental. You get a mechanic that is management heavy at first, then you unlock the "simplifier/auto" later, here ... that is paywalled which means even in world 8 you will still need to micro manage things.
I've heard people say the pitty timer doesn't work for f2p. Cant confirm that myself, hearsay after all, but if true then it'd be a kick to the crotch after waiting so long.
WARNING: The game itself is great when you take a look at its systems and design. However, the monetization has been increasingly more predatory. The developer is unhinged and immature, and is very spiteful when it comes to criticism and actively silences his community with mass ban waves every few months to keep it an echo chamber. Would not recommend playing the game.

Negative feedback on steam/discord/reddit is deleted and banned reliably but steam reviews at mostly negative show the true picture. I suspect the outrageous money generated by the gambling paid for this video with the intent of replacing his fractured community. As someone with thousands of hours, Please, do not support this man. tl;dr: Gambling, multiple premium currencies, deceitful developer, p2w. It will seem fine at the start, that's the trick.

The developer still hasn’t responded it’s been 2 weeks. He did this with his other game called idle skilling which he stopped updating after promising and update and adding really op p2w

@@DKmain4 with the new gacha, why should I roll for pixelated pets that snap the game balance in half instead of rolling for cute waifus that don’t snap the game balance in half (some are OP, but I have yet to see anything that even comes close to doot) they even tend to give players more rolls (current game I’m playing gives 49 rolls per month instead of 4 from idleon) with a better pity (180 rolls for hard pity) and decent rates actually just go play gacha game instead imo (only a half joke)

@@DKmain4 have you considered that having the blessings of all gods, all at once (you could only choose up to 2 before doot), at no player mobility cost (you had to stuff people in lab to get bonuses), would be kind of broken that’s just the SSR character, there’s also slightly less rare characters that trivialise content (the biggest buffs being all alchemy big bubbles being active, and removing carrying cap restrictions outside of crafting with permanent portable storage chest). pretty balanced game I guess (no, it isn’t). if I have to play gacha to get game-breaking upgrades, why don’t I play an actual gacha game with less broken waifus and more free pulls lmao
after the gacha update, I have decided to pick up gacha games again. they unironically have better rates than idleon (the “no scummy business practices” game), and to compete with each other, they also give out a bunch of resources for f2p players to get their favourite characters time to become a commander in girls frontline and project neural cloud again
Yeah we have been waiting for a response for nearly 2 weeks. The pet system shown in the video gives you 1 pet per week for free with no way at all to get more, the best pet has a base chance of 0.27 (give or take 0.01) chance of being the one tamed and a 0.87 or so chance after rolling 40-50 times l. It activates all of the divinities in the game (Divinities are super powerful buffs you unlock in world 5, they are so powerful that you can only equip 1 per character (a single elite class can equip 2), now with that pet you don't even need to reach world 5 or unlock them to get their buffs, just to improve them) People have spend thousand rolling the wheel to try and get that pet, some people didn't even get it after all that All because Lava didn't secure gems server side so hackers could add as many as they wanted meaning he made some green gems that were secured server side... Didn't stop the hackers from aquiring the pets through other means though (not sure if the details) Oh yeah also apparently there's going to be another rotation in a few weeks but we don't know much about it because, well as I said, radio silence from the dev
@@mynameisd2849 yes everything else is REALLY good, all of the things in the game flow really well with each other, it's just a shame the F2P players have been left in the dust while P2W players get multiple of the best bonuses in the game in this update. Prior to this Lava had always put F2P players first, there were some things you could do to support him but even then 99% the paid stuff could be easily gotten for free due to the plentiful sources of gems in the game. Hopefully he will provide some way for F2P players to catch up soon or at least ditch the batch 2 of pets idea.
If you're immune to seeing everyone with premium items and a $2k USD pet and not feeling left out, should be alright. Otherwise, your money is better spent elsewhere.
Heavy inspiration from it, with of course more focus on idling. Pretty fun with lots of mechanics and systems But sadly I cannot recommend you to support this game anymore, since the developer betrayed his community by backing on his word and adding insane p2w gacha (pets), banning everyone who criticizes him and gaslighting the rest (his "true community") into believing this is necessary and fine.

I STRONGLY caution anyone to not play this game. I have over 10,000 hours in the game and the dev has recently lost his mind, adding basically mandatory features that cost $500+. DO NOT waste your time on this game.

@@garrettlauderbaugh312 Can confirm it's true. The previous update added a gacha system that equates to $500+ to unlock the most broken of all the pets it offers guaranteed. It's a base 0.28% chance that goes up to a 0.85% chance at max tier when doing pulls.
Mandatory features? 😂😂 you can continue playing and progressing in the game w/o pets. Funny how people are so insensitive for added content. It isn't like he added world 6 behind a paywall.
@benobangs4601 you only think this because you are clearly new. Would you say having access to all 10/10 of your characters is mandatory? Of course it is. And with doot you can. Without doot you have to have at least 6 characters in the lab at all times meaning anyone without doot not only missing out on the MASSIVE bonuses, but can only use 4/10 of their characters. It's mandatory.
@@benobangs4601 In any incremental games, you'd unlock automation for things in a later patch or content, here it's locked behind paywalls, world 8 you will still need to micromanage things where it should have been a late world 6 or early world 7 unlock etc. And that's without lava removing the sentence about "not wanting to do scummy practices" on steam the day he added them.

- Has a 0.38% chance
- Has a pity timer of 200 tries (approx. 500$), added 1 week after
- Goes against one of the core selling points that sold initial players on the game (no scummy AAA dev ploys) which he LITERALLY removed from the storepage in the same update
The Dev, LavaFlame02, also uses the sponsorship as the core reason to justify the addition of the gacha.

It's still 2 years then, for bonuses that should have been gotten in game. it's an idle game/incremental. You get a mechanic that is management heavy at first, then you unlock the "simplifier/auto" later, here ... that is paywalled which means even in world 8 you will still need to micro manage things.
I've heard people say the pitty timer doesn't work for f2p. Cant confirm that myself, hearsay after all, but if true then it'd be a kick to the crotch after waiting so long.

The developer is unhinged and immature, and is very spiteful when it comes to criticism and actively silences his community with mass ban waves every few months to keep it an echo chamber. Would not recommend playing the game.

Good video, but the game dev has gone off the deep end. Introduced a p2w gacha mechanic and removed the part of the games steam description that said he 'Wouldn't rely on scummy p2w practices'. F2p players have to wait FOUR years to get the "pity roll". Dev is now gaslighting anyone who criticises him in his discord.

This games community hates the developer for going back on his word and implementing ridiculous dootboxes/gatcha/gambling( seen at 8:40 ). Negative feedback on steam/discord/reddit is deleted and banned reliably but steam reviews at mostly negative show the true picture.
I suspect the outrageous money generated by the gambling paid for this video with the intent of replacing his fractured community. As someone with thousands of hours, Please, do not support this man.
tl;dr: Gambling, multiple premium currencies, deceitful developer, p2w. It will seem fine at the start, that's the trick.

Great video, Sad the game has become more Pay to win than it has ever been, with a gacha mechanic nobody asked for, with barely any chance to actually get the good things, with little to no response from the dev over the backlash from this update, a new way to pay, since the old 'cash' Currency wasn't secured server side, and a rotating pool in this Gacha system. which would also count as gambling.
For me i really don't mind as its not multiplayer and it's just free stuff for me every week

I’ve played this game for a year and the developer made a gambling update with pets and he received a bunch of backlash due to it being predatory. The developer still hasn’t responded it’s been 2 weeks. He did this with his other game called idle skilling which he stopped updating after promising and update and adding really op p2w
yes, it is very strange that the pet mechanic was implemented this way :/ was hoping it would be a cool, intresting mechanic not literal gambling, (ive been playing almost 2 years, obviously not active the whole time though)

they even tend to give players more rolls (current game I’m playing gives 49 rolls per month instead of 4 from idleon) with a better pity (180 rolls for hard pity) and decent rates

@@DKmain4 have you considered that having the blessings of all gods, all at once (you could only choose up to 2 before doot), at no player mobility cost (you had to stuff people in lab to get bonuses), would be kind of broken
that’s just the SSR character, there’s also slightly less rare characters that trivialise content (the biggest buffs being all alchemy big bubbles being active, and removing carrying cap restrictions outside of crafting with permanent portable storage chest).
pretty balanced game I guess (no, it isn’t). if I have to play gacha to get game-breaking upgrades, why don’t I play an actual gacha game with less broken waifus and more free pulls lmao

I went to steam to check the game out and shaw mostly negative reviews, but recent ones, aparently the Dev added p2w gatcha to the game
Yeah we have been waiting for a response for nearly 2 weeks.
The pet system shown in the video gives you 1 pet per week for free with no way at all to get more, the best pet has a base chance of 0.27 (give or take 0.01) chance of being the one tamed and a 0.87 or so chance after rolling 40-50 times l. It activates all of the divinities in the game (Divinities are super powerful buffs you unlock in world 5, they are so powerful that you can only equip 1 per character (a single elite class can equip 2), now with that pet you don't even need to reach world 5 or unlock them to get their buffs, just to improve them)
People have spend thousand rolling the wheel to try and get that pet, some people didn't even get it after all that
All because Lava didn't secure gems server side so hackers could add as many as they wanted meaning he made some green gems that were secured server side...
Didn't stop the hackers from aquiring the pets through other means though (not sure if the details)
Oh yeah also apparently there's going to be another rotation in a few weeks but we don't know much about it because, well as I said, radio silence from the dev

@@mynameisd2849 yes everything else is REALLY good, all of the things in the game flow really well with each other, it's just a shame the F2P players have been left in the dust while P2W players get multiple of the best bonuses in the game in this update.
Prior to this Lava had always put F2P players first, there were some things you could do to support him but even then 99% the paid stuff could be easily gotten for free due to the plentiful sources of gems in the game.
Hopefully he will provide some way for F2P players to catch up soon or at least ditch the batch 2 of pets idea.
If you're immune to seeing everyone with premium items and a $2k USD pet and not feeling left out, should be alright. Otherwise, your money is better spent elsewhere.

Heavy inspiration from it, with of course more focus on idling. Pretty fun with lots of mechanics and systems
But sadly I cannot recommend you to support this game anymore, since the developer betrayed his community by backing on his word and adding insane p2w gacha (pets), banning everyone who criticizes him and gaslighting the rest (his "true community") into believing this is necessary and fine.

This game was amazing. But as many other comments say, the dev, lavaflame2, added one of the most blatantly disrespectful and predatory gacha mechanics very recently. The most powerful upgrade ever added, 0.50% drop. With it's own overpriced second premium currency. I cannot tell anyone enough to not play this game. The developer banned all critique, and ghosted his community, then came back and gaslighted everyone with a nonresponse and excuses about his personal mental health. Sad day
