As a visually impaired guitarist with an acoustic guitar, I'm looking to buy an electric guitar. Unfortunately most RUclips guitarists don't mention the pickups they're using or provide detailed information like chapters and effects in their video descriptions. This makes it really tough for me to understand how the guitar sounds with different settings. That's why I'm so grateful for this video. This is the best gift you could give to a new or slightly intermediate guitar player. They look and sound great and you could mod this out if you wanted to take it into gig territory.
These are insanely good enough for the highest level players. Not just beginners or intermediate. I have both versions and they’re absolute insane guitars and pups.
I have the HSS and SSS and I’m not joking. They’re 2 of the best guitars ever made. I have some insane guitars from Japanese ESPs to Custom shop Genders and Gibson. And from Squiers to Zemaitis. These guitars are by far the best thing to ever happen to affordable guitars. And the stock pups are absolutely incredible. I’m not a 2nd or 4th position player but with these guitars and the switch I use position 2 and 4 constantly.

I've never actually played or even seen an Ibanez in real life. I jammed locally for YEARS and never saw a single Ibanez. Sweet new Ibanez though. I am positive everything was done properly at the factory that makes these the Toyota of electric guitars and then some.
They have better models but great for beginners and intermediate players who need something low priced for touring. Good for that. Thats about it. I would definitely change the pick ups to anico 5s. These are no very goo, bur thathis just my opinion. Of play through not so much of a muddy amp.
Lent one of my buddies a treasured fender stratocaster and he moved away suddenly and never returned it... looking for the feel and sound of that and this is at a price point I can stomach. I am just torn between this and the azes31 with the 3 single coil. Any thoughts on the differences, other than just the pickup layout on these 2 variants? Great playing as always!
The HSS has 9 pickup configurations and the SSS has 8. The 9th one is splitting the bridge humbucker to give you the single coil tone you're missing. I have one and it's amazing for the money.
So your friend is a thief… sorry to hear that… i have noticed that 100% of the gear i lend never gets returned! I think most people have deep envy and justify taking things from you
No, has cheapo parts on it and is on the level of a Bullet. I returned mine because the back bow couldn't be corrected, tooling marks on the fret board and missing paint.
I mean I wouldn't drop a strat for this. I would put this on a throw away guitar you can really abuse and wear in. The strat is well worth the money. Can't beat the original. I mean it's sound is MUCH fuller. Incomparable to me. I mean Im getting this because I know Ibanez makes quality and I want something I can abuse for cheap on stage, maybe break if I need. This definitely fills that need, brother .

The guitar is small, the neck is short, the volume knobs are in a bad position too. But overall i like the guitar

azes40 will be the best option because it is mor versatile to have humbuckers too
