Can I use 542 (pigmented) ink instead of 522.
As long as the product description states that your printer is compatible, it shouldn't be a problem
trying to refill my tanks but none of the colors will pour into the tank. I tried 4 new bottles on all colors but the ink doesn't drain into the tank from the bottle. I used my old bottles too that still had some left over ink and they won't pour into the tanks either?
Try lifting the bottles as you're pouring them in and out up and down that may work
It is insane how many people all over the internet have the same issue and are asking the same question as me. There is not a single legitimate answer anywhere.
Huge reddit thread and nothing useful. Not to mention how many other folks have started similar threads.
Best answer I got so far is that it is an air lock thing in the bottle but brand new ink bottles and they don't pour into the tank. Same for my left over original bottles that came with the printer.
I am more than dissapointed with this eco tank crap. Just finding out now that I am not the only one getting frustrated with empty promises.
I was buying generic cartridges for my old printer which lasted almost 6 years which is pretty damn good for modern day printers, but now after a year with eco tank I have to say I regret it.
I didn't know about these maintanence tanks either. What a horrible thing to have to deal with for the everyday, home printer owner.
Anyway, Thanks for the reply, I will keep scrubbing the internet to see if I can find something useful if not, I will start to pull the thing apart. Last thing you should have to do with a year old printer but when you spend 400 plus dollars on a printer I don't think I have another choice.
