I had the same prob when I accidentally let the black run out. This is horribly sloppy programming by Epson. They should sense a tank is out, give a warning, and not let the machine try to suck ink until more ink is added. As I programmer myself I know this can and should have been done, so why after several years and generations of these machines, are they still not doing this? My first Ecotank I had to junk because the software counter claimed the spill sponge was saturated and diabled the entire printer, even tho it was not filled, and it was working fine. Plus they could easily have made a way for users to access, drain, and replace the sponge. I guess they want you to buy a new printer anytime a prob comes up, which is often! Thanks for the fix, although mine is still not printing as well as before the incident.

for the price we pay for these machines i cannot believe the amount of problems they develop. INSANE
