I think this was made by Jack Webb's production company. The blonde, Jenny Maxwell was in Blue Hawaii, with Elvis. A few years down the road, I believe she was murdered in her home.

I watched "The Actress" story and it was fairly compelling, but this one was really contrived. Pretty easy to see why the show failed.
