hands down BEST EXHAUST for the 636...no other exhaust goes hand in hand like the M4GP....also...after 3000 miles when you go synthetic....MOBIL 1 4T or you're MISSING OUT on the smoothest ride and the most butter shifts you have ever felt

I am 19 and purchased a 2007 zx6r as my first bike when I was 17. But then again I grew up riding a kawasaki 250 dirtbike when I was 15 and when I turned 16 I was on a 450 honda. So I do have history with bikes but everyone is different. I met a guy who rode for 2 weeks and after those two weeks bought himself a 1000cc gixxer and he does wonders on it. I cant even handle it as well as him.
Just picked up an '06 - this will be my next one after a couple of seasons.

Mark, I just signed on a 2014 White / Black 636 today! The only thing I don't like is the lower black fairings being black, but I could easily buy the white ones, swap them out, sell off the black ones, and make most of my money back. Other than that, I like it, and I'm excited. It's being delivered Thursday, but I'm in NY so no riding until mid March about.

You won't die. Put it on the lowest power mode until you are comfortable on it. And don't think your superman and you should be good. My first bike is a 2013 zx10r. I love Halle. But I'm also 6'1 and muscular and also getting private riding lessons atm. The sales guy at honda of hollywood tried to get me to get the 636 but I was adamant about the 10r. Only reason I considered the 636 was cause it has an all black which looked beautiful. I didnt want a 2011 10r. Just be safe and smart.

you can get it as a first bike but you have to understand that the bike is insanely fast for a first bike and you have to control yourself and not go out your first time riding and do 160.
man this has to be one of the hardest decisions ever.. gsxr 750 or kawi zx6r or 636??? hi mark.. would like to get ure opinion before getting my bike.. would it be ok if im planning on getting this zx6r for travelling long distances.. say 900KM on monthly basis.. do i have to compromise much on the comfort level and what about the engines on the long run? im not interested in touring bikes for your information.

Did you install the exhaust as slip on or full? And do you run a power commander or ecu flash if it's a slip on? I have the same bike with a two bros black series, no power commander or ecu flash and it shuts off a lot when it's hot out and I come to complete stops or if my idle is set @1300-1400. Running it at 2k..
@daveydurham12 I don't think this exhaust would fit. M4 makes one for the 300, it's just not a short one. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get the sound of a 600cc bike from a 300. It sounds the way it does because there are only two cylinders operating as apposed to 4, just like how a V8 doesn't sound the same as a V6. The sad reality of us 300 riders. Just upgrade to a 600 when you're ready, then throw a slip-on on that bad boy!

Because what is the point of rev matching on the street in a straight line? Rev matching only really matters on down shifts, while cornering, to prevent upsetting the balance of the bike.
