  • History was made this week as ATSF #3751 was the first steam locomotive to travel the Antelope Valley in 32 years! Metrolink built a new platform in Acton and they asked the crew of 3751 to join them in officially opening the new platform. We begin our chase in Los Angeles, CA and we beat it (Barely) to multiple spots in the Antelope Valley. Sporting her amazing Santa Fe 6 chime whistle, the crew of ATSF #3751 did not hesitate making their presence known through the towns. I hope you enjoy the video!

Hope once 3751 returns she can do more excursions since after 2014 she only attended events from 2015-2017 which upsets me a bit and I hope she'll pull an excursion once she's back from her rebuild

As of late 2019 she's undergoing another rebuild that is said to possibly be completed next month and then this northern will return to excursion service and will most likely be running with bnsf because amtrak probably doesn't want to help because of their restrictions

because 3751 and 261 both have Santa Fe 6 chime whistles on them, that's why they sound so similar.
