I absolutely applaud you for cooking meals everyday at home. It's fine that some things come from frozen, can or box. The hugest thing is that you and your family are eating home cooked meals, together. You are a rarity in today's world. I hope that you keep it up. Thank You. this was wonderful to see, and your creative meal plans were pretty great as well.

@@thesimplifiedsaver They will remember eating at the table with home cooked meals. And, if i may be so bold, coming from personal experience, when your children are older and on their own and with their own children, they will probably ask you "Mom, how did you make this or that?". My grown children have done this, i've done this to my mom, my mom has done this to my grandma, and i've seen my grandma do this with my great-grandma's recipe box, which comes from her mom and her mom's mom and so forth down the line. They'll remember

stacie hitzfelder amen! My first child suffered a birth injury so we had to do things differently with him than with our other two kids. He had issues with texture and would gag and throw his plates. Of course now that my kids are adults (by age anyways) they have these plates that are mats that stick to the table. There is nothing wrong with putting food on the cleaned table surface.

If you add one tablespoon of vinegar to the water, it’s tenderizes the meat even better, and helps keep it moist. You won’t taste it. She had a pretty good cut of meat there, but it works magic on cheaper cuts. I also have a totally cool crock that is shaped like a regular 9x12 casserole, and works perfect for the breakfast/other casseroles.

I don't add water to my crock pot bc if I add veggies they will give off their own water which will make it all cook faster and be dryer. I use about 1/2 c to 3/4 cup of balsamic vinigerette. It's delicious! I also wear the meat with seasoning before I place it in the crock pot. :)

I'm a firm believer that outer beauty is indicative of an inner beauty. Then at 1:00, I see a book in the back ground with what looks like "Coffee == Jesus". The bigger picture all makes sense now. Please stay you, just the way you are and don't ever let ANYTHING change you. God Bless! :−)

I have a lot of respect for her. She is young working mom and cooks meals daily for her family. I'm a full time working mom and find it very difficult to lower the cost of our grocery bill. Living in Alberta (Canada), I know that we already pay more for food than some states in the US. Food waste is also a big concern in our house.

thank you! I don't always do so well and make a lot of mistakes but planning ahead of time is the only way all my cooking happens. I try to eliminate as much food waste as I can as well.

New subscriber - I was watching your videos and thought something seems familiar then I realized you got that easy going sweet personal vibe as Sandra Bullock then I remembered reading Sandra Bullock's from TX and saw you were to - it must be a TX thing👍🙂 I Love these recipes and I also do majority of my shopping at aldi. I keeping trying to remember to use my slow cooker in the summer ( cuts down on electiity- not heat the whole kitchen) these have Definitely inspired me . Thank you 🦋

Matthew Seckman Yes I do have volume control on my phone. But funny thing, when I turn the volume of the music down it also turns down her voice! And in some segments she’s already talking very quietly so you’re common sense idea doesn’t work

Mary Ann Berry I know right? She’s already talking quietly in some of the segments so turning down the volume doesn’t work very well. It turns down her voice also LOL funny how that works. Great video though.

Another great use with your crock-pot, and your recipes, is that if/when your kids are into sports, or any other activity, set your crock-pot in the morning and have some hot food containers (thermos, etc) and you and your family won't have to be stopping by fast food places for their meals. and it's healthier too. If the activities are in the mornings, just set the crock-pot before bed and then load up in the morning before leaving. cuts the dependency habits on fast food for active families.
