    The sad thing in Pittsburgh is that they still aren't finished paying for Three Rivers! Pittsburgh isn't exactly a wealthy city so the state will have to help.

      What if the LA Chargers leave for Toronto? Will the Vikings, Lions, and 49ers leave the NFC for the AFC and the Bills, Browns, and Colts leave the AFC for the NFC? Why not give BMO Field a massive transformation from a soccer-specific stadium into a full-blown NFL-standard multi-purpose stadium with football, soccer, concerts, and so on all in mind now that the Rogers Centre is a mostly baseball-centric stadium? Why not move the Argonauts to the NFL?

    Raymond James(Bucs) will be 30 in 2028. One of the Glazer(owners) said recently the stadium still has life in it and nothing needs to be done right now. After Tampa won the Super Bowl in 2002, The Glazers stopped spinning money on free agents and trading their players. Most fans blamed the Glazers because they were spending a ton of money on Manchester United. The attendance dropped a lot. This time the Glazers are doing the right stuff. I do not think the voters would vote yes on a new stadium. The city could easily circumvent a vote and extend the 1/2 sales tax they used to build RJ. I think they will renovate in the next 10 years. Do not think it will be with a roof. But it will need to be something that protects the east side of the stadium from the Sun. Also effects the visiting team which is good. Rays is St. Pete issue and has nothing to do with Tampa. Tampa will commit resources with a revenue stream already available.

    • @samelmudir
      @samelmudir 4 месяца назад

      Glazers haven't done anything major at old trafford and it needs modernization. they're looking at spending close to $1 billion because Man City's new renovations will make their stadium the premier event centre in manchester. Don;t think the family can afford to finance anything for Tampa with these interest rates.

    Problem with Raymond James is how to renovate if that is their intention. They do not need more seats so I guess they can upgrade the seats. Maybe add more interactive areas. Do not think they will add a full roof. Maybe more protection from the sun and raining on the fans. If building a new stadium is a decision there is a spot. Right next to it where the Sombrero(previous stadium) use to be.

    They should build A new stadium by the water in downtown where the rays were trying to go before. It's a pirate theme so a waterfront would make it cool with a huge pirate ship docked right in front that will have a bar and restaurant in it.

    What I think is most likely gonna happen is Giants and Jets are going to stick with MetLife at least the next 10-15 years. The Giants will head over to Weschester County, NY in Yonkers there is as there is an 95 acre plot of land just 15 minutes northeast of Empire City Casino just off of I-87N. The Jets will probably end up on Long Island, 30 minutes east of the Nassau Memorial Coliseum.

    I have been to MetLife Stadium for both football and concerts. I disagree with you saying it is a bad stadium. It just is not new anymore and has not been updated since its opening almost 14 years ago. It is also very minimal regarding the concourses because it is a heavily used stadium and with 2 NFL teams. I don't mind the exterior design or the seats. But yes, it lacks personality. Jets fans are eager to want their team to move back to the city, specifically Queens. But the likelihood of that happening isn't good, especially when it comes to politics and how expensive it is to build sports venues in New York City. Think about how much both the current Yankee Stadium and Citi Field each cost before both opened in 2009. Imagine what it would cost today.
    If it were up to me, BOTH teams would be back within city limits instead of the Meadowlands. It was fun when they and the Nets were there, but we know New Jersey lost their NBA team to the city borough of Brooklyn (also a big waste). If either or both the Giants and Jets move back to New York City, I don't know if that will ever be within my lifetime. Look at how long it took to replace the previous Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium. Madison Square Garden will be 60 years old by 2028 and I'm not holding my breath it will be replaced anytime soon.
