    Raymond James needs a canopy and some end zone bunker suites. Their scoreboards, sound system, and upgrades to suites/club area are still top notch. The only other thing they need is an entertainment district. That’ll keep it in the Super Bowl rotation for the next 20 years.

    I cant believe there is some ground swell for having roofs on football stadiums. There's definitely a reason every single northeast team has open stadiums. I think a dome is just awful for the game. It needs to be played outdoors, and needs to have weather. This is an unbelievable talking point imo.

    Hard Rock was a great renovation. Leave it alone! Football is an outdoor sport and let the visiting team bake. If anyone remembers the Orange Bowl when it had Poly Turf, that was hotter than anything anyone has ever experienced at Hard Rock!

    Big question I ponder about Jacksonville's "possible" new roof. Will it be a sweat factory inside for fans since it will not be fully enclosed with an air conditioning system? Florida's high humidity in the late summer is almost unbearable. I hope the stadium engineers figured that out.

      @@ethanmnufc to me every NFL and mlb team should just keep their stadium for 40 years, and then blow it up and build a new one. The exceptions for this is if it's younger than that and is totally decrepit(FedEx field, Oakland coliseum), and if it's 40 years old or older but a very historically iconic stadium I'm fine with teams getting a modern look but only if the stadium is very old and needs to be replaced. For the NBA the whole criteria is the same but only a 35 year time.

    • @brabblemaster401
      @brabblemaster401 4 месяца назад

      @ethanmnufc many of the current or new stadiums were built without the new features or were multi purpose stadiums that aren't good for any sport. The only multipurpose stadiums rebuilt were hard rock and Torontos. Both cost a ton of money are still not in the top 10 or so in rankings.
      These current super stadiums will probably last many decades now due to their cost

    • @great-one0389
      @great-one0389 4 месяца назад

      @@brabblemaster401 There's only one multipurpose stadium left in the NFL or mlb and that's the Oakland coliseum. And yeah a ton of the current stadiums don't have the newer features but I don't think it's worth it to get those features until the current ones are old. As a Steelers fan i'd love to see us get a dome, but Acrisure is fine and still young. It's not spectacular but it gets the job done and it's our stadium. As the newer stadiums like Sofi, and allegiant lasting longer I'll believe it when I see it.

    Having a roof isn't a matter of keeping the fans and players out of the elements, although this could be the case in Florida, but more like getting year-round use of the stadiums to draw in more and bigger events.

    • @maxkershisnik8998
      @maxkershisnik8998 4 месяца назад

      yeah but if everyone gets a roof you're only gonna be getting big event bids every 10 or so years. i dont think it'll make sense financially if everyone tries to do it. using my home field as an example, empower field claims to have 300 events per year as an outdoor stadium (i think thats a stretch) but regardless there is always something going on in the offseason there without many issues. is it worth getting a dome there if the superbowl/final four/etc is going to come to town every 10ish years?

No shadow is covering the stands. They look more intimidating, amazing and eye catching. They are true stadiums. Stadiums are supposed to be roofless.*
    *Roofed stadiums don't look special. They make the stadium look generic, like any other building/stadium. They are not iconic, memorable or eye catching.*
