It was brutal! He was catching planes from Georgia to NJ every six weeks to see me. He was spending money on me, fixing things in my home, invited me to meet his family, entered IVF with me. Then discarded me 48 hours before egg retrieval. He overplayed his hand with me. I loved him, but I love NO ONE more than me. It's called self-respect and dignity. I know the devil sent the narc into my life to try to break me. It was a spiritual attack that I survived. I'm so good now because I passed my test and I know better is coming.
They want to keep you in a box for themselves and clip your wings in the relationship! You're right, they will never defend you - they try to break you down. But the Lord Himself delivers us because HE has conquered the world including the narcissist and God will not look on and see one of His children being abused. I carried the relationship for over 3 decades, while he destroyed everything. There was no reasoning with him. Well, he knew I was strong my level is very high. He was very low, but he couldn’t reach to my level so the more I do is the more he hated me the more I walk with Kariem and giving him more. For me, it's funny how these "Birds" act so much like dogs. They like to keep their Grade-C Supply put back saving them for that "Special" occasion or when they're finally busted and abandoned by their Grade-A and Grade-B whipping boy enablers. Which like you said are narcissists themselves. I call them their "posse." I know when I give my German Shepherd a T-Bone, he eats some of it but treats the best part differently. He buries that for later. And I cant stop him from doing it.
Honestly, I know all of his secrets. I stood by him through the roughest times and the most crazy thing is he never appreciated it. He has an enlarged prostate that he first learned of since 2011. He never got meds or help until being with me and I started asking a lot of questions. It was 6 days after he called me every name in the book that he came to my home and could not urinate. I had to take him to hospital because he was in so much pain. Please note: No one in his family ever went to doctor appts or knew about the enlarged prostate. So guess what? The hospital has to give him a CATHETER. He couldn't even put his leg in his pants without needing help. I asked God why did this happen when I came into his life? A week later he was suppose to get the catheter removed and guess what? He couldn't get the catheter removed because he could not urinate on his own. I realized that he was not good at tolerating pain and he seemed like a little kid pouting as he walked the floor. I sat back and observed as my heart felt sorry for him. We get back to my home and I pray for him. I helped empty the bag with gloves on. I wipes urine off the floor with disinfect and bucket of water. I stood by his side. The next day he wakes up and he is whispering rather than just talking. I thought he had a stroke. I called ambulance and later met him at ER. He complained that his head hurt so he wanted a cold rag on his forehead. I jumped to the task for anyone if necessary but still no other family members showed up but one of his sons. I noticed when he came in the room they did not hug or show any type of affection as family members that are close. Anywho...I had to leave so I can get back to my 3 yr old autistic grandson. I did not call the narc the next day because remember I thought he had a stroke and he could not talk. I ran out and got toiletries, clear liquids, a robe, and a big teddy bear. I get in the room and on the board it says - Family/Friends you care about (it had his son name on board). Oh okay. They found a UTI, so that was the problem. I asked how was he doing and he says ok that he made his calls but not ONE CALL or TEXT to me. Do you think he thanked me for bringing stuff to the hospital? Like really? Are you serious? Later on he tried to say I wanted the recognition. Recognition for what you idiot. He was afraid of being in the room with a covid patient so what do I do? Wrire a letter to Patient Relations Department. I get a response within the same hour. All I have to say is - Never again!

He has this female friend and every time he’s around her he ignores my calls. He doesn’t talk and barely texts me around her. I’ve talked and fought with him about it. He promised me he wouldn’t treat me like that again. Two weeks later, he did the exact same thing. I dropped him like a bad habit. Thank God I never had sex with him. We’ve only been talking for a few months but now it’s over.

My sister, you have just answered my question. I was born to a malignant father and a covert mother. I married a covert more than 40 years ago. I have been asked how I am still here and my only answer is, “by the grace of God. My upbringing was brutal, the beatings and verbal abuse were unwarranted. At age 18, I re-met my narc husband. Our parents were friends from the 1940’s. Being that he was non-violent, I thought he was the answer to all the abuse I endured in my childhood. I thought of him as being odd, but he was raised in a country setting, so I thought of him as being a little stupid. I did not know the term narcissist as more than half of my family had anger management issues. One thing that puzzled me was that he would run and hide whenever any stranger would try a verbal attack against me and then it began happening with his friends. This man is very muscular and strong and I felt he could overpower anyone if it were his own situation. I went through a very rough time when I realized they all were narcissists. Thanks to you, some very good life coaches and God, I am healing. Narcissistic abuse has consumed two thirds of my life. Thank you Sister Telsha for everything you do. My level of healing has truly changed since I found you. To God be the glory.

A week later he was suppose to get the catheter removed and guess what? He couldn't get the catheter removed because he could not urinate on his own. I realized that he was not good at tolerating pain and he seemed like a little kid pouting as he walked the floor.
I sat back and observed as my heart felt sorry for him. We get back to my home and I pray for him. I helped empty the bag with gloves on. I wipes urine off the floor with disinfect and bucket of water. I stood by his side.
The next day he wakes up and he is whispering rather than just talking. I thought he had a stroke. I called ambulance and later met him at ER. He complained that his head hurt so he wanted a cold rag on his forehead. I jumped to the task for anyone if necessary but still no other family members showed up but one of his sons. I noticed when he came in the room they did not hug or show any type of affection as family members that are close.
Anywho...I had to leave so I can get back to my 3 yr old autistic grandson. I did not call the narc the next day because remember I thought he had a stroke and he could not talk.
I ran out and got toiletries, clear liquids, a robe, and a big teddy bear. I get in the room and on the board it says - Family/Friends you care about (it had his son name on board). Oh okay.
They found a UTI, so that was the problem.
I asked how was he doing and he says ok that he made his calls but not ONE CALL or TEXT to me. Do you think he thanked me for bringing stuff to the hospital?
Like really? Are you serious? Later on he tried to say I wanted the recognition. Recognition for what you idiot.
He was afraid of being in the room with a covid patient so what do I do? Wrire a letter to Patient Relations Department. I get a response within the same hour.

I was thinking bout this again. My grandma was light skin woman with freckles, and had a real dark skin husband. When I met the narcissist woman, she was a real dark skin woman, and had her light skin friend who had freckles like my grandma, with her, smh. No wonder the situation felt familiar. Smh

Boy oh boy, you are so right about the narcissist having a so called friend. This guy I was dealing with was doing exactly that. He has this female friend and every time he’s around her he ignores my calls. He doesn’t talk and barely texts me around her. I’ve talked and fought with him about it. He promised me he wouldn’t treat me like that again. Two weeks later, he did the exact same thing. I dropped him like a bad habit. Thank God I never had sex with him. We’ve only been talking for a few months but now it’s over.

He was a meta verse entity that exists online, a robot I was dragging around with me! Every aspect of our entanglement he had twisted on to me and tried to make me believe it, too! My sister, you have just answered my question. I was born to a malignant father and a covert mother. I married a covert more than 40 years ago. I have been asked how I am still here and my only answer is, “by the grace of God. My upbringing was brutal, the beatings and verbal abuse were unwarranted. At age 18, I re-met my narc husband. Our parents were friends from the 1940’s. Being that he was non-violent, I thought he was the answer to all the abuse I endured in my childhood. I thought of him as being odd, but he was raised in a country setting, so I thought of him as being a little stupid. I did not know the term narcissist as more than half of my family had anger management issues. One thing that puzzled me was that he would run and hide whenever any stranger would try a verbal attack against me and then it began happening with his friends. This man is very muscular and strong and I felt he could overpower anyone if it were his own situation. I went through a very rough time when I realized they all were narcissists. Thanks to you, some very good life coaches and God, I am healing. Narcissistic abuse has consumed two thirds of my life. Thank you Sister Telsha for everything you do. My level of healing has truly changed since I found you. To God be the glory.
