Thank you as this was exactly the question I had, since from other videos it seemed slower than my tanked system. But I did notice quite clearly the sound of the pump running!!!
Kenta Honjo hey! So I got it and I found the pump to be a bit loud. If you haven’t thrown it away you can use the foam end bits that held the unit in place in the box to reduce the vibration noise A LOT! I even cut out the front panel area so I can see the lights to indicate filter replacement. It was SO easy to cut to size. Then I used some insulation material from a home meal delivery kit to wrap the rest of the unit. It’s SO much quieter now!
He filled 4 cups in about 26 seconds or 6.5 seconds per cup. There are about 4.25 cups per liter, or 8.5 cups in 2 liters. It would take him roughly 55.25 seconds to fill a 2 liter bottle.
I've connected mine. It did the flushing for 5 minutes but I didn't see the flashing ring around the faucet. Then it ran for 30 minutes, heard long beeps and it shut off. I don't see the TDS reading and I don't see the blue light when water comes out. Any idea why?
Hey MD! Are you sure you only have 230 volts in your house? In that case, you may want to get an electrician and convert an outlet to 110V (assuming you live in the US) so you can use standard household appliances. Here's a useful article I found: www.quick220.com/blog/110v-to-220v-converters-ultimate-guide/#can-I-plug
Hey Philipe - Not sure what you mean by between uses, but my TDS went down from 165 to 12 after the installation. TDS can include good minerals, but if you're looking for massive rejection rates, this is a good system. I've been liking it so far.
@@kentahonjo7180 Yes, many Amzn reviews state that the TDS is high when first turned on after a while of non-use. Then TDS gets to the low value after about a minute. I have one of these, only the slower 400 GPD, and it's slow. Definitely recommend spending the xtr $ for the 600 GPD.
Hey thanks for the question. And impeccable timing as well! I don't own a TDS meter, so I borrowed my parent's meter just this weekend. The tap water was 165, and the filtered water was 12 (~93% rejection rate). I don't have any experience with zero water filters, but from what I can tell from their website, it's a straight forward water filter. A reverse osmosis system like the Waterdrop is a different type of water filtration that is effective at removing various other things that an activated carbon filter cannot remove (ex. copper, lead, organic chemicals, etc.). Here's a good website that explains the difference: www.raynewater.com/blog/water-filter-vs-reverse-osmosis/. Also, it's important to note that not all TDS is bad thing. Beneficial minerals in water count toward TDS, so completely eliminating can have it's downsides. I'm not a expert on this, but I found these websites helpful: www.freshwatersystems.com/blogs/blog/what-is-tds-in-water-why-should-you-measure-it and www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/dwq/chemicals/tds.pdf
Do you have a water softener connected for the whole house before connecting the Waterdrop? Just curious as we have moderately hardvwater in our area. Thank you for the video. 👍🏽
@@kentahonjo7180 the pressure is great, when i turn the RO faucet on, it starts out strong, then fads for about 3 secs and then comes on strong again. Almost like its priming a pump.

Thank you! I was the one who requested this video. I’m sold, buying mine tonight!!!!
Thanks, Brian! I'm glad it was useful to you.

@@haystacksjalisco That's an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing.
Are you still using and enjoying this system? Thanks!
aw man I just found your channel and really liked the quality, I hope you can make content again someday !
Thanks @RegaDude! I'm actually planning to come back. In the meantime I've been working on other projects that are getting ready for prime time!
Does it taste like bottled water?
It tastes like purified bottle water. Some bottled water have a very strong mineral taste (like Evian), but it's not like that and it's very neutral.
How do you like the unit after all the time that you have used it.
We love it! We've had no issues with it and my coffee machine works better now that it doesn't get all the calcium build up.
how much time it take to fill 2 litre bottles? can you do a video?

Hmm, not sure... I'd recommend contacting Waterdrop's customer support. Good luck!

High TDS between uses? I'm looking to get this RO system.

What are the TDS levels before filtration and after with water drop system , and does it compare to zero water filters , thanks

We don't have a water softener at the moment, but it's something I'm looking into as well. Our water is very hard.
Mine definitely doesn’t have a flow rate that fast..not even close.
Sorry to hear about that. How's the water pressure without the filter?

That definitely sounds weird. Hopefully the support staff will be able help you out. Good luck!
That's 830 GPD, faster than the 600 GPD advertised.
Yup, very happy about that!
