    Great video, Dex! The three sets of 230 Ah. CALB lithium cells and JBD BMSs I got from you are working great! Since I was able to build the 12V batteries myself (with your cells, BMSs, guidance and support of course) I was able to configure them so the 230 Ah 12v batteries are only about 4 inches wide. This way they fit into a very narrow, otherwise unusable space between a tool cabinet and the interior wall of my Sprinter 4x4. I am chipping away at instilling all the Victron equipment I got from you and have truly appreciated your help and advice along the way. I agree with Will at DIY Solar, very nice tutorial and the new camera is working great! Thank you for everything and best regards, Mike

    1) How does the output voltage change at the output?
    2) What voltage do you charge the battery with?

    You can use cells with a lower current capacity, but make sure you configure the BMS to match your cell capacity.
    You _should_ use a fuse or breaker that matches the current capacity of your cells.
    You'll also be fine if you don't charge or discharge at a greater rate than specified for the cells

    Does the JBD bms actually come with the big battery cables because all I see on the ads are the balance lead wires

    At 10:10 you say we should have 3.2 volts for each wire. I don't think that's right tho? Should have 3.2 for the first, then 6.4 for the next, then 9.6 for the next, then 12.8 for the last?

    • @electron-1979
      @electron-1979 Год назад

      Yes, if you measure from negative.
      ~3.2 across each cell

    NEVER crimp soldered/tinned wire!
    ALWAYS crimp bare wire!

    Does anyone knows the minimum load and minimum charge that can handle? Cose i have a load 0.4ah - 3ah and planing to charge it with 100W solar(so some times 0.02ah charge)So if bms work only above 1ah load its not for small solar . Also if bms allows less than 1ah charge under 0°C to cells?

    I am using the same cells to power my small motorcycle camping trailer. Because of the confined space, I have two cells in the left side and two cells on the right side. The second buss bar was replaced with a 6 Guage wire. Would the balance wires be connected in the same way?

    • @electron-1979
      @electron-1979 Год назад

      Definitely yes!
      The cable acts as the bus bar

    BMS issue. Using XiaoXiangBMS app for Lacroix electric skateboard 12s4p p42a 21700 molicel. Replaced motors from 6389's to 63100's the board would not charge. Charger showed green as in fully charged but was no charge left.
    After downloading the xiaoxiangBMS app it started to charge properly again!
    But now It will not charge again. The battery shows fully charged in xiao & stormcore app and shows green light on charger again but it is not fully charged.
    I'm seeing:
    - a MOSFET software locked alarm
    and also:
    - A cell over voltage protection alarm
    Any ideas leading to a fix would be tremendously appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY BRAIN IS FRIED!

    090822/1501h PST Thank you for the instructional video on JBD 150A BMS (Wiring). I am really concerned with the "Y: B MINUS cables. I'd not attempt to do what I saw in the Video. I'd not even "bend" the Lug terminal. The procedure could be better if it's placed horizontally and bolted, than risking contact with the Al heat sink plate.
    Your Educational video is being viewed all over the world; by many DIY enthusiasts and they will make costly mistakes I know, my statement could be refuted. Pardon me... I couldn't help, but state the fact.
    The description is fantastic, down to earth to make DIY enthusiast understand the wiring. The Cells used presently (NARADA 50Ah) cells are the best. Unfortunately in all Chinese Cells BLACK is positive! Thanks for emphasizing. Best wishes. 73s...

      Only if you need the full current charge/ discharge capacity.
      2 cables doubles the current capacity, which also depends on the current capacity on the cells and BMS
