- A Review of the Orion Paragon Plus Binocular Mount and Tripod.
A Look at how the Parallelogram fits onto the tripod.
You can use a tripod with either 3/8 " bolt or 1/4 " bolt.
You may have to modify the connection a little to fit other Astronomy Tripods. - Видеоклипы
Excellent, very informative. When I woke up this morning I didn't know I needed this mount !
The 4 knobs on the side are not used to hold the binoculars in place and stop them sinking down.
If the mount is properly balanced with the counterweight then the binos will not sink down. The knobs are there to provide a bit of resistance when moving the binos around. Cheers
Yeah, but... (LOL). The knobs also provide resistance when the balancing is not exact. They're a fudge factor.
If you want to balance the binocular without doing up the tension knobs, you can extend the counterweight arm to find the right balance.
Great review, answered my questions. Looks like my 15x70s will be perfect on that mount.
Thanks for the in depth review guy. My 20 X 80 Orion Binos could benefit from this setup. The Orion flat mounting plate kit is way overpriced.
Thanks for the Reviesw and I have purchased this Mount for my Binoculars. Im also looking to use my Nikon D7O DSLR mounted on the P mount but the Screw is too long, so the Camera is Loose, but it fits perfectly with any Binoculars . Wondering what adaptor and a smaller Camera Screw I could use, Thanks
Very helpful, thank you. I would like to know how low the Paragon Plus will go. It's nice to support your head and neck when craning at high altitudes and I've found that a deck lounger with head support is great for this. Would it travel that low?
Ah yes - so true! I haven't tried it with a deck lounger but have seen it done. Next time out I'll see how low she goes!
Thanks. that would be hugely helpful. I'll keep an eye on this space to see what you find. Thanks again.@@StarsandGuitars100
Thanks - Look forward to hearing what you find out.@@StarsandGuitars100
looks like you’re not using the tripod adapter that comes with the skymaster 15x70. Is there a specific reason that you are using a different one?
Yes, the resin one shows some vibration - I prefer to use a metal one.
Thanks for sharing.
is it not very uncomfortable at zenith?
Its not bad - much better than hand holding the binos. Because you can get right under the them and your hands and shoulders are down and relaxed.
the price would be helpful
Heard of Google? How does he know where you live?
Get a lavalier mic so your audio is consistant.
