I had a setup like that for my 15x70 Fujinon binoculars. I took it to the star party at Big Bear Lake one year. I'm kicking myself that I sold the system after I bought a 6-inch refractor. I'm old now (75) and can't stand for more than 5 minutes. I am going to see if I can get that offset parallelogram system so I can use the binoculars while I'm sitting. Nice video.
I was using the tripod i got with my SkyTracker but i purchased the Artcise CS80C Tripod (Video new ball head and tripod video ruclips.net/video/t5d7NtK4EWo/видео.html ). Yes you can sit in a chair but not for long before you have to adjust the view.
To a certin degree it allows you to but its kind of awkward it needs more pivit points to allow the binoculars to look sideways instead of straight over the center.
I guess you can but you would need a really short tripod and it might be awkward, this one is simple. Other more expensive units with different and more complex adjustments would probably work better lying down. There are several different style one out there.
25x70 is not a good astronomy binocular ,the magnification is way too strong and dim views will result. 10x70 would have been much better like fujinon 10x70.
one of the best reviews on youtube of this mount, to show how it actually works. thanks
Wow, thanks! I try to keep my vid's simple with as much info that I can think of.
Thanks for the video.
Happy New Year from Edinburgh, Scotland.

Wow beautiful weather there.
Hi thanks for a great video, would you be able to tell me the diameter of the base of the mount of the parallelogram? Thank you.
It's 3in or 7.62cm in diameter.
Which tripod are you using? And can you seat in a chair and still use this mount?

Nice stuff. Looks like it works great :)
Nicely done!!
Is this design allow you to sit down in a reclining chair ?...?
To a certin degree it allows you to but its kind of awkward it needs more pivit points to allow the binoculars to look sideways instead of straight over the center.
Nice review, but can you use the mount while lying down on the ground?

@@AstroPatio use one of those recliner chairs billed as ''zero gravity''. in keeping with the general theme as well
@A Tim
You could use a bench or recliner chair so as to raise your self of the ground.
@@bighands69 I was thinking of that, but I guess the tripod would be in your way.
Doesn't look to hard to add a panhead to it. Nice mount either way!

Nope. You're wrong.
I just returned a pair of Celestron 20X80 Pro Binoculars because the optics were poorly collimated.
