Folks who rushed out to get an iPhone 13, because their iPhone 12 or iPhone 11 Pro was somehow "outdated", should not be complaining about a decent upgrade like this one for the Nintendo Switch. The hardware changes are very welcome. With the screens off on both the old switch and the new OLED you CAN tell the difference. The older switch looks noticeably like older technology. When you turn on the screens that becomes even more apparent.
You can definitely tell the difference! The new screen is awesome and worth the extra money. Oled is much better than LCD, i recently changed my old tv with an oled one and i love it.
I have the same first model from launch day and I pre ordered the new one I think the fact that it has the upgraded battery life from what we have before the 2019 model alone is worth the upgrade
Looking to finally own a switch device. Looks like this might be the one. Can you use the hotspot from your phone as a internet connection for the switch?
Thanks for the video ! Can’t wait to receive mine haha. I believe the modern screen and battery make such a difference compared to my original 2017 switch that it’s worth it !
@Jason Adam yes i was so sceptic when I heard about that but I’ve received mine and I’m not disappointed ! The screen looks gorgeous and it doesn’t seem more pixelated than the original one
@Jason Adam that’s a great point, I love mine ! Maybe it could be more interesting to go for a series s with the game pass rather than the oled model for sure
@Jason Adam yeah, but many people prefer handheld gameplay and love the Nintendo switch exclusives. They're two completely different consoles, with different exclusives, you can't really compare them. One's a handheld and the other's not.
If you're on a very strict budget and don't plan on using your TV to play, then the Lite might be worth it. That said, if you can afford it, the OLED is without a doubt much more enjoyable to play on. In my experience, the Lite gets uncomfortable to hold after a while too.
Just get a regular switch or OLED because people have problems with the joycon controllers a lot and you might have to replace them one day but if you get the switch lite then you’re just screwed if the joycons get the drift problem. You can’t remove them from the Lite.
If your looking at smaller budget and at more portability than anything the switch lite is perfect for you. And if you don’t a have a normal switch but want to have one, get the oled to be future proof safe
The screen is bigger to but not by much I think the original switch is 6 inches and I already know from the reviews and everything we know about that the oled is 7 inches so your not getting much difference in size
I'm a Switch docked player. to me if homebrewed is not available on OLED then it's not worth buying. because if I bought it. what should I do with my old Switch?
I would be greatly appreciative if you could answer a few questions I have regarding the process of transferring from my old switch 1. If I transfer my AC island and my pokemon shield and let's go save data AFTER the steps in this video..Will it still work or will my old switch already be wiped of the data for those games? 2. Most of my games are physical..does this mean I need to individually insert each game and re-download one at a time as opposed to being able to select them all from the eshop? 3. Am I correct in saying no save data is stored on my sd card? I know it is going to be wiped clean when I insert it into the oled so just trying to verify that I won't be losing anything important.
Screen looks great but the sound out of the switch Oled is awful. Still think the switch is so overpriced and the games are mostly wii U hand me downs.
fucking awfull. i miss PSP's and PS Vita's era. where you could fit it in your pocket. and my hands weren't miles away from each other. Sony hopefully will bring back the right size.
All I got say speak with your wallet if you want the OLED to be $300 as the current Switch with the same internal specs instead of $350. Nintendo will shift prices if it's not selling. The Skyward Sword (10 year old game) at Best Buy is now $40 now after 2 months being on the market at $60 back on July 16 2021. Nintendo fixed the launch Nintendo 3DS from $250 to $170 after few months.

Fr they be saying how it's the same thing but they the same people who be going to get the new iPhone and already have an iPhone 10-12💀
I've had the first version of the switch since 2018 and I'm very tempted to get this new one tbh

The box is the thing I’m most excited for.
HAHAHAHAH

Yeah you can! It’s super useful
I've got a Switch Lite, preordered a Steamdeck but I'm still thinking about getting the this OLED... 🤔
I love how it’s basically the exactly the same thing
it's not if you mostly play handheld. Makes the old switch look like shit in comparison, the new screen is awesome!
@@floweryunicorn8888 yeah but half the stuff they added should’ve already been a feature
@@JamesterIsDivergent true that, they should have made it like that from the start. The old one looks more like a half finished version of it.
Like phones. But people still buy them. Like me :) loving my oled switch! Come on. We all know deep down we want one.
Does the power cable included in the package have a USB-c connector that can connect directly to the console in handheld mode?
the power cable IS a usb-c cable and can connect directly into the console in handheld
@@CallumClementUnsubscribe thanks for your answer.
I’m considering the Original Nintendo Switch or the Oled model any thoughts?
Ordered mine on Tuesday and it came today at noon . So far I’m loving it, Mario Kart and Odyssey are great but Zelda and Luigi’s mansion are next!

Yes exactly the same joycon design
I don’t own any Switch and I’m considering one. Any thoughts on Switch Lite vs Switch OLED? :)

I WAS JUST WAITING FOR THIS AND WAS LOOKING FOR UNBOXING THANKS 💗💗💗💗💗
so no plastic film around the box for protection? it comes just like that?
What ya expect? You expected the fucking box to be protected with a metal box out side the Nintendo switch box 🤣🤣
Is there 60 FPS?
Is it in target Walmart or GameStop rn?
Sold out
its really easy to tell the difference only cause of the bezzeling
I got ocd you touching the screen and the finger prints on your old switch
My fingers can’t be stopped
Schönes Video 👍 Ich habe auch ein kurzes zur Switch OLED erstellt. Tolles Display! Ich würde mir das auch für die Switch Lite wünschen 😍
Should I get Metroid Dread?
Yes.
Ooh I'm very ready for Sora!

pretty sure the difference is way more evident in person
