That's not true at all. There are plenty of companies that help show the school systems in the US about prison/crime via having ex-convicts speaking to the students.
Companies that explain shit like that do a terrible job and kids never listen if it were this guy is would listen harder than they ever have, cuz the companies dont know anything like what it's like, so if kids go to prison they'd be dead in an instant

To-day, I got introduced to this channel, and I just want to say that what started out as just me finding these videos interesting has actually helped me a lot with the way I look at life. All my life I've been abused by family, friends, romantic partners, people of authority, and have had people do very bad things to me. Because of all of this, I've been stuck with a lot of depression and trauma that I didn't think I'd get out of, even with my life improving. Watching these videos, especially listening to the inspirational bit at the end of this one, I've learned to really appreciate how good my life really is, now, and I've learned to be glad that I have made the decision to keep on fighting on. Thank you for helping me realise that what I've been through has made me stronger and to be happy with how my life is. I wish you the best of luck!
I'm 25, never been in trouble with the law but I've been struggling with a few other things that are really tough for me and keeping me from who I wanna be. the message at the end of this was very inspiring, I needed to hear that. Your videos are great.

That's a fair point, but you dont see anyone signing up for prison. I guess it also depends on what aspect of the army you're talking about.
Well, the aspect that you could die in worse ways than being in prison.

I'm not saying I think like this but there are people who would argue that dying a horrible death in the name of your country is better than dying a quick but pointless death.
But then again if you're just talking about day-to-day living conditions than it would matter A LOT on the circumstances; i.e. what kind of prison or what job you have in the army.
The army has the possibility of being fun though. It's not all front lines warfare. And like I said, it matters a lot on what job you have. If you're an army fireman you'll still be in the army. Though I might be a bit biased towards the military as I plan on being a TACP in the air force.
