Solar panels are efficient and effective.
The only problem is the disposing of panels that aren’t useful anymore. What do you do with them?
People either throw it into the trash (which btw is stupid because then it goes to a landfill and some of the materials used in solar panels are harmful to the environment)
We could recycle them but recycling does cause partial air pollution.
Windmills are the ones that are not efficient at all.
They are technically the cheapest renewable energy source, but they do not give the energy back that was used to put them up unless the wind was good for around 90% of the time, which rarely happens.
Hydroelectric is really really good. The only problem is that it’s expensive and there’s limited availability due to needing places with water flow.
Nuclear is honestly the best atm.
I’m going to college for Nuclear Physics and I want to do research on making fusion reaction energy. (Right now it’s only fission, which is used to heat water into steam to turn a turbine)
The only problem with Nuclear is the waste, but they have figured out recently how to recycle the waste to produce more energy, which is a step.
Yeah waste for non-nuclear is a really hard problem like ya said. Same for nuclear but I think it's issue can be solved easier. Good luck in college, maybe ya will help save the world! Right now we will always need oil for certain things, but we can convert so much to nuclear and other sources so oil is greatly reduced to the processes we need it for like emergencies and space launches

I don’t see that going away any time soon. I think most of the emissions is from making plastics, not even energy.
The biggest issue with solar panels is energy storage since energy production isn't continuous. You get no power at night, and clouds can nerf production. You need to supplement it with other sources or improve energy storage. Solar is definitely a part of the solution, but it will need to be supplemented. Molten salt solar power is an interesting, though much bulkier form of solar power. A bunch of mirrors reflect the sun at a container of some molten salt thing to store the heat. It then uses that heat source to generate power. It is a lot less convenient than just throwing solar panels up and I don't know how effective it is.
Radioactive waste is something we already know how to deal with: bury it deep in the middle of nowhere. The issue is that nobody wants the stuff in their state. A bigger issue is the public perception of nuclear and the high cost of setting up a nuclear power plant. Coal power produces much more waste, and a lot of pollution. It even releases more radiation into the environment that nuclear!
Nuclear power is the cleanest option among those that can be controlled by us rather than being reliant on local conditions. That makes it ideal for supplementing renewable sources.

Nuclear power still the best in my opinion. But somehow some people don’t think so. Yeah, technically it was the worst risk that could happen, but that risk is very unlikely to happen nowadays.

The most efficient source of clean energy we can have is still nuclear. It rightfully earned people's wariness towards it, but it is safer than people realize. Most nuclear meltdowns and other incidents were the result of poor management or people not doing their job right. I actually know a guy who helped found a company that has developed and is promoting sets of smaller reactors(as opposed to one big silo) that have a self-sustaining coolant system that utilizes water's natural cycle of evaporation and condensation. They're smaller, safer, and more efficient than the big silo reactors.
Isn't there also an element that is better to use in nuclear reactors and safer (nuclear is already really safe like ya said though) I can't remember the name though
@@RaveSpecterReacts-qr5uy From what I remember, Thorium is about as efficient and somewhat safer than uranium, but I need to double check to make sure that's right.
