Super price, Mr. Josh.. The other one to get is the original bootleg one, from the 1980s, made by Allen Smart (SSL tech) featuring a dual mono mode.. Great for spanking individual drums..... I'm blessed to own number "55" from back in the days. .. Thumbs up!!!
They will sell like hotcakes, being the proud owner of one. Just be prepared for a patient wait until you receive your order, as assembly/ shipping takes time, but you will be ultimately satisfied.
@@johnnyvegas2015 Not true. They are doing well and putting out new gear that's getting great reviews. I'm jonesing for their new V-Comp vari mu compressor.
Amazing, I've heard a lot of shootouts, I feel the Stam Audio kills the WA2A but still not as warm to an original LA2 (but very very close). Also very excited to hear about the SA76, there's no audio samples online.
Haha, it's very different beast from the Pro VLA. It's funny some people diss the Pro VLA though, it's a really good stereo optical compressor for only $300, but I'd take the SA4000 for most things that need punch, other than vocals or softer instruments over the VLA anyday.
Please make a video like this with vla Ii 🙏🙏. The guys put it with the camera audio and using mono on a single track. I want to buy one but before I would like to listen in a serious video like this. thank you
Sounds great! I'm slowly falling love with stam gear
GENTLE MASTERING
2:18 NO STAM
2:22 (GENTLE LIFT MIX FORWARD)
2:40 (GENTLE LIFT MIX FORWARD + THRESHOLD)
Awesome review. I love how much life this thing breathes into mixes
This was a great demo. The price blew me away. I had to go back and do a double take on it.
The makeup gain is sweet, and I own one!! Love it
Sounds really good, I want one! also i am curious of your use of the Art pro vla!
Not volume matched ??? Compressor in parts always louder :/ :/ :/
Great! Another piece of gear I want now

Checked out any Audio Scape clones? I hear they're awesome

Why do I keep seeing these low prices but their site says 790?
Nice ! Do you know if it would be really different from my DBX 160 SL (also VCA) ?
Would u please post your studio set up.
Hey Josh - what was the piano software instrument you were using near the end?
KevNoonz bump
It's one of the Native Instruments Kontakt pianos. I'm 99% sure it's The Maverick.
How well would this work as a limiter, with the fastest attack and auto release?
Thanks for doing this. I would have expected you to try out the sidechain on the EDM piece though? It seemed like it needed it.
What, no HPF on the sidechain channel?
Why only 2 rack screws per piece of gear?
No need for four...2 do the job.
Thanks a lot for the information. I placed my order right away. An SSL clone at $590, you can't go wrong. Thanks a lot. 👍🏼🤙🏽
490 for pre/orders!
Joshua Stam thanks for the correction. I've placed my order and we've been in communication already. You've got two orders from me already 👍🏽
@@joshuastam7704 ugh 790 now 🙀🙀🙀 lol damn wish I was into analog gear 3 years ago
@@joshuastam7704 nevermind I see its mk2.. have any of the originals you want to sell me?! 😉🤣
Does this one has any of the mods available? about to pull the plug but there's 3 options.
Why do you keep turning the gain up?
What’s the name of the rock band used in this video I’ve heard this song before and I would like to own it
If you get an SA-2A please do a review like this, it was awesome. I ordered my SA4000 after watching this.
Actually finishing an SA2A vs WA2A review and comparison tonight.

Nice! How a vid comparing it to the VLA?! :D

Makes sense. If you could upload some samples that would be great! :D
Can you clone profile the SA-4000 using the Kemper?
haha
