haha figured you wouldn't like this one
The panel with them looking at twitter at 2:01 I think was basically a bit after the death occurred, considering they had already moved by then.
but I do agree a lot of it is pretty monologue heavy and preaches a lot of about real world ideas in a way that can feel unnatural
I don't like Mengo's storytelling, but honestly I think her art is fairly recognizable and looks good. I've seen images from stuff made by her that I haven't read and instantly recognized it, with the wide, glistening eyes, thin eyebrows, and stringy hair.
The reincarnation from the beginning is pretty necessary I'd say, given the context of how he originally died, his strong motivation and planning to catch the killer which would be unnatural from a typical kid, and we see very little of his original personality to begin with. But I did think the first chapter was kinda ass honestly, there was some cringy dialogue and scenes in there. It took me a dozen chapters or so to warm up to it.
I haven't caught up on it in a while though, think I'm like 20? chapters behind. I did read the new Aka manga Renai Daikou, but pretty lukewarm on it so far.

Yeah, not really my style. I think that panel happened time wise a while after she died, but it was like the first page after she died. Didn't really have any big problems with the art, but I don't think it stood out enough to be a reason to read the series. The reincarnation is definitely necessary for plot, but I was thinking he'd maybe have more noticable character traits from his past other than just wanting revenge.
Recent chapters do seem like they're finally getting somewhere in the story.
Renai Daikou hasn't done much yet, so it could probably go either way for me.
