I have had my grip for a month and it is fantastic. I got the blue and all my media pals love it. A great product.

I don't know if I would ever use something like this but the amount of engineering that went into this is amazing! Nice work PMG

What a beautiful piece of machine work with this Boomerang Flash Brkt. The ability to go from horizontal to vertical seamlessly is terrific. The 1/4" 20 machine threads used throughout the assly. illustrates a well thought out design as well as the interchangeability of components onto the Arca Swiss base plate under the camera or the grip & once again 1/4" 20 female machine threads on the plate itself for the attachment of additional accessories...
I am in the market for a new modular tripod & rest assure I am seriously considering the ProMediaGear Series 42 set of legs!
    Thank you,
    Bill Farr...

5:58 is the shot I needed; a lot of similar brackets add so much bulk to the bottom that reaching the portrait-mode buttons becomes difficult. This one appears no more bulky than any other L-bracket if not a bit thinner, and that makes the price tag on these a little more palatable.

Build quality is excellent, the best out, but the inconsistent height of the flash in the two orientations keeps it from being the absolute go to bracket. You gain about 4” in flash height in portrait, not counting the height of the flash itself. A more compact and consistent rig would be greatly appreciated, especially since it’d be easier to travel with.

I have a few very good flash brackets I use regularly. But these look awesome in the video. Not cheep. I have your site on my favourites now and I'll be a customer soon enough. But not cheep. I suppose they'll be worth the money. None on Ebay yet.
The flash has to remain horizontal and it does with your bracket. Very nice and strong.

OK....this is a rare product review for me but I compelled. I ordered the Boomerang for my SONY NEX-7 and HVL-F60M. I use the NEX-7 for amateur concert photography since my "professional" camera almost always get flagged at the gate. I needed a bracket in general since the NEX-7 is dainty when mated to alpha lenses, the big flashes, and such. So, I just un-packaged my Boomerang tonight. My impression: WOW this is a piece of GEAR! This is the only chills I have had since I meet my recent girl friend! I have to believe that photographers are all about the gear. If you are proud of your equipment, do not settle for less. Thank you Tom for guiding me over the phone. Cheers! John

This looks perfect for my needs. I'm looking for an easy to set up flash bracket to be mounted on a tripod, for nature photography, using a 400mm lens.

Why is it so hard to just get a complete part part number for the entire kit? Please make it simple click and buy. If people want to buy piece by piece then they should be able to just click on the kit breakdown. So this request will be ready by tomorrow right? Thanks

This looks like a great product! Question: I know this comes in left or right-handed options. Which is better/easier to use if I am typically holding the camera with my right hand? When using my left hand to adjust the bracket, Is it easier to adjust if the bracket is in the camera left or camera right position? Any input is greatly appreciated! Looking to purchase very soon.

An impressive design except for one obvious flaw: It only locks in zero and 90 degree positions. It would be far more useful if it could lock in zero, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree positions.

Good idea, but wedding videographers will hate this because now the photographer will always be in their shot because the flash is so high.

@wolfy317 Yes it does. But the complexity of using the wrist strap depends on camera body. If you have a camera with Vertical Grip it's much easier to do, as the strap will not be in the way of battery door. With smaller bodies we offer an extended strap loop that goes out so mounting of strap is possible, battery access maybe affected. Please email us with camera make and model/config and we'll give you more detailed options. Thanks- Tom

    • @PromediagearPMG

The BBX Model is universal it will fit Mirrorless and DSLR with or without additional Battery Grip. If you don't ever plan on buying the Battery Grip then BBX is the best Choice. If you only shoot with the Battery Grip attached then I'd go for BBGv2 as it's optimized for vertical buttons on those Battery Grips,

Hey there, do you know "photo SFX art" (search on Google for it)? There you will find a smart free video featuring how you can create better photographs. This made it easier for Matt to create photos which have a wow-effect when you look at them. Perhaps it will help you too...

over complicating a simple tool to make it more expensive.... not sure that's a winning business idea but sure, good luck

The price is too steep fro just a bracket... can be copied easily just need a lathe an drilling machine, should have priced it more affordability.....
