Perfect representation of the film's visuals. I love that this movie has such a devoted cult following that really sees the beauty in what it is, and people like you bring it out more all the time.
At first I was like “great another video that might as well be the trailer with other music playing over it...” I couldn’t be more wrong. Great work and editing.
Long Nguyen It’s a gorgeous film. Some editing decisions mainly with the soundtrack leave much to be desired. I feel like Snyder might’ve just threw on his old iTunes playlist and just let it go. Aside from that, as an adaptation, I feel like it really hits the tone of the graphic novel. It ditches some things but in my opinion, I think seeing seeing a giant monster attacking the city at the end would be kind of odd in live action vs the devastating charge attack by the device Dr. Manhattan created. Some prosthetics are kind of off especially when they try to age Carla Gugino and with the Nixon actor. The cast is all pretty much spot on as well. I think Malin Akerman gets too much flack playing Silk Spectre, I thought she did fine. Jackie Earl Hailey and Billy Cruddup steal the show as Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan. Also really solid were Patrick Wilson and Jeffery Dean Morgan. Personally I think it’s one of if not the most underrated comic films ever made. Zack Snyder really did outstanding work on honoring the source material. I feel like later on down the road it will definitely build a bigger and better following or at least I hope it will. We’ll see.
