Oh the irony if Hidan knew the iron clan killed themselves over if they should kill the Uchiha, only for the Uchiha to die within the next few years Actually that might reinforce his thinking that Jashin is real since they all technically gave their prayers to him & they were answered, plus we could add to the fact that Hagaromo could reveal himself & grant blessings where no one could find him, it’s possible Jashin revealed himself or at least spoke with Hidan through his dreams, or perhaps even used a kind of Sishui genjutsu to nudge Hidan on the right path My new theory is: we still have the mysterious 3rd Otsosuki pair we don’t know of, perhaps Jashin was a lower ranking member with sympathy to Kagua, so after death he looked for someone who could be his champion, earth’s protector, but hey ho
@@drew_gon1617 Let's go a step further. That mode Hidan enters in order to finish off the sacrifice could be in fact a karma mark that Hidan was able to master. It's just that Jashin Otsutsuki purposefully does not override him fully, just grants a smidge of his god power.

Actually, I think the Akatsuki sent those 3 because they didn’t have a specific duo that were fully equipped to handle Hidan without risk of losing a member; so they sent Kakuzu, who could be killed without it being an issue as he’d just get up again; Itachi, who would be ideal for suppressing a simple brawler like Hidan with his doujutsu (but not Kisame as he’s another brawler and thus would have to contend with Hidan’s ability, and might take damage or even die); and Konan as perhaps something of a diplomat, as well as a supporting fighter who could avoid giving Hidan any blood by turning into paper. I’d be shocked if the Akatsuki hadn’t done their homework on Hidan, leading them to pick out this team to play on his weaknesses.

Hey Nick, if Hidan learned the Eight Gates technique (he was highly skilled in Taijutsu was he not), would his immortality protect him from the effects of the Gate of Death and allow him to remain in that state indefinitely?
He isn’t immortal in the way you’re thinking. He starved to death. So being incinerated like the 8th gate would do to him would most likely kill him. I guess it depends on how much damage the brain takes from the 8th gate, but from the looks of Guy, it turns you into solid charcoal on every layer. Could be wrong of course but since he starved to death, I don’t think he could survive complete incineration (and complete chakra depletion).
I feel like if he was to start his technique before activating the gates he would survive and whoever he started the technique on would suffer the effects. Essentially start the technique on the strongest foe, then open the gates and attack his allies while he's forced to watch until his body burns up.... I definitely feel like that would get you a ton respect from Lord Jashin
I think it's a pretty safe bet that Jashin doesn't exist. There's some solid evidence: 1. The data book refers to it as "forbidden jutsu" and also says that plenty of people underwent the ritual, but only hidan survived. 2. When Kakuzu is explaining his powers, he mentions that there's no such thing as immortality. That means he probably knows something about Hidan that we don't. 3. The data book also confirms that Hidan can die from "malnutrition". My guess is that Hidan performed an insanely risky forbidden jutsu and just got lucky when he survived.
I saw the name of the video and was like oh my God my boy connected some dots here he just did a deep dive and you saw something we didn't. You aint shit for that Hammer lol. In one of the Naruto video games, during the akatsuki formation, Orochimaru stated that Hidan was an alleged forbidden experiment from the hidden grass village. I think he had some sort of forbidden juitsu that kept him from dying a normal death for whatever reason
There are Reaper Death Gods that the Uzumaki managed to make contracts with. Is it not possible that Jashin is simply a different type of Death God that Hidan managed to make a deal with? In exchange for sacrifices he was granted immortality. Perhaps he discovered Jashin in the Valley of Hell...
I'm rewatching Naruto rn and I realized something. why can Hidan help use the 9 dragon sealing jutsu on Gaara with the rest of the akatsuki if he can't use ninjutsu?
My thoughts are that Jashin is an Otsutsuki, and that in the final ritual to achieve immortality is implanting his karma onto the person performing the ritual, giving the person immortality and a body for Jashin to transfer into. At least that's how I'm putting it in my FF.
The most interesting interpretation of hidan's character I've ever heard is that jashin doesn't actually exist, but is just a wisper in hidan's head to make his actions feel greater.
@@smileyp4535he's not really immortal since he would die without food or water and well he hasn't had any in awhile so he's probably dead by the time of Boruto. I'm glad you came to this realization. The whole point of Naruto is learning how to sympathize with your enemies. If you want peace then you have to be the one to lay down your life. Because there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends, especially friends that have hurt you.
“In essence Hidan represents neurodivergency on the highest level ; a complete disconnect from the emotional spectrum of humanity , all in order to give severance to a god who might not even exist “ 😮😅
peace is often confused with docility and harmlessness. if you do not have the strength to defend and push back, you can not have peace. peace is a mutual choice.

He wasn't the weakest by far. His physical strength alone was mentioned by Kakashi during their fight. He didn't use jutsu because he was cocky about his immortality
I love hidan he's one of my favorite Akatsuki members but I feel like the only reason his match against shikamaru didn't last long is because he was ya now reckless in battle and just plain bloodthirsty I guess that's what makes him one of my favorite Akatsuki members but I would love to see another person like hidan
Hidan knows ninjutsu, etc... he was a ninja prior to his Jashin stunt. He has a Yugakure headband. He knows body flicker, like all ninja that's how he's able to keep up. If he was simply an ordinary dude there's no way he could keep up with ninja.
But... how can you say he has zero jutsu prowess when his 'technique' literally changes his skin and gives him the power to cause massive physical damage to others that he doesn't even touch if he only gets their blood? He is immortal, sure... but he is using some kind of jutsu or power.
that or the other jashin followers ended up just killing each other and stacking up all their kills over the many years of them being a live or maybe jashin is a beast out there some where and Hidans mode is just some kind of sage mode and a side effect of that teaching. its very open to do a lot with. neat idea for extra lore
So its actually pretty common to send a 3 man team to evaluate another member, there is no benefit to taking a person with force (as they would leave) and if they are strong and refuse they need to be removed from the board, each members recruitment we see actually involved 3 man teams Deidara had kitsame, itachi and sasori, itachi had orochimaru, pain and konan and of course hidan had konan, itachi and kakuzu this makes perfect sense as 1) all the akasuki knew is the man was immortal which would make him a great partner but also very deadly, sending kakuzu to evaluate essentially a new partner, itachi because most immortals we see or know about have a big weakness to genjustu and konan has a specialty of turning to paper and disappearing in the wind, meaning she could relay how the justu worked to pain giving him a decisive edge, if anyone knows the value of understanding other peoples justu and the edge it gives that would be pain for sure! why not send pain? honestly he had no clue how the fight would turn out and didnt want to risk himself oh and the land of hot water would have hired the akasuki because they were making their rates alot cheaper than any other ninja village, underselling them, an immortal solider with an unknown ability would be anbu level mission LOTS of money or you can hire some of the most dangerous people in the world for the cost of a genin squad

Meanwhile my head cannon: Hidan is a death sage. The Valley of Hell is the "sacred place" where you can meet Jashin (maybe) Lord Jashin is the leader of that "cult" just like the white serpent is for snake sages. You get to do a ritual/ training that few completed and those who attempted it died. Once complete you now have acces to cool new habilities if you gather a specific resource. Physical appearence changes when activating the technique. I mean if we have a sage mode from Hashirama that we still don't know where it ties to. Besides there is nothing that ties to nature more than death and the cycle of life.
I would pay to know about Narutoverse side stories like Hidan immortality, Hashirama super regeneration, Namikaze clan, how Uzumaki clan was destroyed, etc etc

Makes sense. If tons of the most power characters are really just descendants of kaguya and otherwise would just be normal people, maybe hidan is a rare throw back with the otsutsuki immortality?
The team of Konan, Itachi and Kakazu does make sense if you look at it from the perspective of recruting. Kakazu is good the see how powerfull the recruit is Itachi is a good quick end of the situation while Konan works as the leader of the group and the one to purpose since neither Itachi or Kakazu would be really that good at recruting people and Obito most likely was using possible new members for the Akatsuki to kill Konan since a good number of Akatsuki are likely to kill her on sight
As i grow i appreciate more when characters like hidan are just outright bad guys the whole befriending the bad guy to find out he's actually nice deep down is overdone particularly in Naruto

@@TyTy-cx7rp well his organs and heart heal which also bring a weird question when considering he died from hunger.
@@johndinh2913 does it? Explain
I think it's a pretty safe bet that Jashin doesn't exist. There's some solid evidence:
Except he fully believes that it is Jashin, so if it was a Jutsu then he would know it is.
@@Samael2824we're talking about a guy who is pretty cracked in the head. I wouldn't put too much credence into what he believes is happening.
@@Samael2824Ik this is really old but it could always be that a forbidden jutsu was used on him as a baby, part of an experiment type of thing
I saw the name of the video and was like oh my God my boy connected some dots here he just did a deep dive and you saw something we didn't. You aint shit for that Hammer lol. It really speaks to my faith in you though keep up the good work man you're one of the few people out here who deserves that thumbs up button to be pressed.
Perhaps he discovered Jashin in the Valley of Hell...
as someone who has been diagnosed with autism as a child so being neurodivirgent this kinda hit home ngl
I vividly remember Asuma’s death actually affecting me irl. One of the first times a fictional character dying really got to me.
The most interesting interpretation of hidan's character I've ever heard is that jashin doesn't actually exist, but is just a wisper in hidan's head to make his actions feel greater.
Ok but then why is he immortal?
@@smileyp4535 some ultra rare kekeigenkai, that nobody even believe in
@@SpaceWitch144 but his clan didn't have it
@@smileyp4535he's not really immortal since he would die without food or water and well he hasn't had any in awhile so he's probably dead by the time of Boruto. I'd just assume that he has a ridiculous healing factor from a kekeigenkai that could have developed in him. Honest question does a kekeigenkai have to be passed down? I assumed kekeigenkai were kind of like a mutation so technically anyone could be born with one but then their offspring would inherit that mutation.
I love how Nick answers questions that I literally never even thought about, then gives facts and opinions that’s can seem like those are the answers. Love it💯💯✅💪🏿
As always, you’re videos are amazing and so in depth. Best subscription I have!!!
"Hidan had no talent for ninjutsu or genjutsu"
*Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood* : "Am I a joke to you?!"
Honestly, good job explaining the potential thoughts/mindset of a serial killer without getting too dark.
Hidans not truly dead for he forever lives in are hearts, we love you hot topic boy 💙
Hiding is one of my favorite non main characters. I never even saw him as one note at all because he was not with us long enough to develop more. But I always liked how his powers worked and wanted to know more about him.
It's a scam, don't
Hidan is right, there is no need for war because when you die, your spirit goes to a better place anyways.
For me hidan could have a kekengakai that allows him to absorb the vitality of those he kills, but if he doesn't kill his vitality is the one to be consumed, for me is a better explained to his death that starving
He power is from religion
@@jameshollister8294 mine Is a personal explanation since we don't have a real answer on the origin of his power.
Religion for me can't be the answer, because if It was why orochimaru didn't join jashinism
@@Mustache99 i think that has to do more with orochimaru's personality, orochimaru was more about science than religion
Starvation is probably the best way to kill an immortal in the narutoverse (at least narrative wise).
@@BlueWhiteBros Yes but he Always wanted to be Immortal and didn't have any problem on experimenting people so
I think that the real reason Hidan has immortality is because he killed for lord jashin not to justify something he did or to get immortality
Theory:
Hidan killed all the other Jashinist and that gave him immortality 🤷🏾♂️
Hidan is my favorite Naruto character. This video was oddly heartwarming.
I'm glad you came to this realization. The whole point of Naruto is learning how to sympathize with your enemies. If you want peace then you have to be the one to lay down your life. Because there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends, especially friends that have hurt you.
I wish the real world worked like that. It’s a good mentality to have though
Hashirama was going to do that for Madara to reach for peace.
Nick, as an Aspie, thank you for that wrap up. It was literally tear inducing.
You know a lot of people just like him because hes got a cool ass scythe
“In essence Hidan represents neurodivergency on the highest level ; a complete disconnect from the emotional spectrum of humanity , all in order to give severance to a god who might not even exist “
😮😅
- Hidan has always been my fav. I have gone full cosplay as him for halloween and comic conventions a few times, he's the best!
"That's why it's called making peace. You don't make peace with somebody you like"
peace is often confused with docility and harmlessness. if you do not have the strength to defend and push back, you can not have peace. peace is a mutual choice.
Ok the Immorality Theory makes sense
But But
How would you explain the whole Voodoo Doll Ability? The Pain Transfer
It's a Rinnegan ability, God bless 🙏
Thanks for the explanation keep up the good work love the videos
Konan Itachi Kakuzu: yo join us
Hidan: fuck yall
Kakuzu: yo who you talkin to!!
*Slice*
Hidan: Killing me don't make me die!! Yeeeaaah, run dem hands, you too paper lady, whats up!!! Fight me!! All of you
Itachi: he talks too much, lets just kidnap him and force him to join
Finally, a content about one of my favourite characters in Naruto. Waiting for Aburame Shino's content soon.
This is an awesome take, thanks
He wasn't the weakest by far. His physical strength alone was mentioned by Kakashi during their fight. He didn't use jutsu because he was cocky about his immortality
Love it when NCHammer calls him kakuzo, instead of kakuzu
Cool. Hidan and Kakuzu are my favorite Akatsuki duo.
The Reaper Death Seal proves there is a death entity in the Naruto universe. Who's to say it's name isn't Jashin?
I like how kakuzu just said “All these dollars signs, I’m out” and went on a massacre when he realized everyone had bounty.
Love the video and keep up the great work nick
Not even gonna watch the video yet just gonna say Hidan and Jashinism is the most interesting concept in Naruto
Maybe if someone ever digs him out of the hole Shikamaru left him in, maybe then we could have our answers.
Nick, your choice of water starter is excellent. Just thought I'd let ya know.
18:08 What’s Deidara got to do with this😂. j/k Nick, just a slip of the tongue in another otherwise great video!
that or the other jashin followers ended up just killing each other and stacking up all their kills over the many years of them being a live or maybe jashin is a beast out there some where and Hidans mode is just some kind of sage mode and a side effect of that teaching.
its very open to do a lot with. neat idea for extra lore
So its actually pretty common to send a 3 man team to evaluate another member, there is no benefit to taking a person with force (as they would leave) and if they are strong and refuse they need to be removed from the board, each members recruitment we see actually involved 3 man teams Deidara had kitsame, itachi and sasori, itachi had orochimaru, pain and konan and of course hidan had konan, itachi and kakuzu
this makes perfect sense as 1) all the akasuki knew is the man was immortal which would make him a great partner but also very deadly, sending kakuzu to evaluate essentially a new partner, itachi because most immortals we see or know about have a big weakness to genjustu and konan has a specialty of turning to paper and disappearing in the wind, meaning she could relay how the justu worked to pain giving him a decisive edge, if anyone knows the value of understanding other peoples justu and the edge it gives that would be pain for sure! why not send pain? honestly he had no clue how the fight would turn out and didnt want to risk himself
oh and the land of hot water would have hired the akasuki because they were making their rates alot cheaper than any other ninja village, underselling them, an immortal solider with an unknown ability would be anbu level mission LOTS of money or you can hire some of the most dangerous people in the world for the cost of a genin squad
If only Hidan knew about Itachi killing his neighbors
Hidan is one of my favorite characters!!!
Facts, an underrated character

Boruto is way better than dbs and Naruto is way better than dbz😏🔥

I just wanted to say thank you for bringing back my love of Naruto. Your videos are amazing especially your ranking videos. Your the best Naruto channel on RUclips. Also I really like The Weeb Commander. Have you thought about covering older anime? You Yu Hakusho and Sailor Moon would be a great fit for you. Definitely cover Sailor Moon no one really talks about it anymore.
You are a true RUclips Prodigy ! . Continue to be great sir 👍🏾. I look forward to your videos . Makes this shitty circle of work and sleep a little better
Meanwhile my head cannon:
Hidan is a death sage.
The Valley of Hell is the "sacred place" where you can meet Jashin (maybe)
Lord Jashin is the leader of that "cult" just like the white serpent is for snake sages.
I'm not even a huge Naruto fan but Hidan is by far my second favorite character in all of anime. Alucard from Hellsing is #1.
I really enjoy your energy for anime videos.. very entertaining
Make a vid on the different ways to obtain immortality in naruto/Boruto and rank them on capability to obtain
I would pay to know about Narutoverse side stories like Hidan immortality, Hashirama super regeneration, Namikaze clan, how Uzumaki clan was destroyed, etc etc
Love the video, quality as always. Where did you get that shirt though?
I love your vids they are the best when I eat I usually listen to you talking if I have a question I just come to this channel❤❤❤Keep the awesome work up! 😊
Honestly my favorite of the akatsuki due to the ability and the story that comes from it
What if Jashin was an Otsutsuki God and paired with Shibai Otsutsuki but with his twisted mind turned on Shibai and both destroyed each other but Jashin left a karma mark that Hedan somehow got thus giving him some of his abilities and Boruto got Shibai jogan abilities
Karma marks enhance chakra, and Hidan doesn't use any chakra that we know of.
NCHAMMER23 GREAT VIDEO LOVED IT👍
SECOND VIDEO THAT YOU SAY 'ALL INTENSIVE PURPOSES' ITS ACTUALLY 'ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES' 👍
Makes sense. If tons of the most power characters are really just descendants of kaguya and otherwise would just be normal people, maybe hidan is a rare throw back with the otsutsuki immortality?
Yo you should make a video ranking all the clans in Naruto from weakness to strongest.
I love your videos! Only thing is I think you meant it upset Hidan at 18:10
12:25 interesting how that’s the complete opposite of narutos theme, to preserve and create bonds
It would be crazy if Jashin was an Otsusuki god
One of the 4 shinjus ?
NC, why does Obito never go blind? Is it just the Hashirama cells and if so why are his cells so OP
The team of Konan, Itachi and Kakazu does make sense if you look at it from the perspective of recruting.
Kakazu is good the see how powerfull the recruit is
Itachi is a good quick end of the situation
while Konan works as the leader of the group and the one to purpose since neither Itachi or Kakazu would be really that good at recruting people and Obito most likely was using possible new members for the Akatsuki to kill Konan since a good number of Akatsuki are likely to kill her on sight
As i grow i appreciate more when characters like hidan are just outright bad guys the whole befriending the bad guy to find out he's actually nice deep down is overdone particularly in Naruto
Can we see you do a video on the gold and silver brothers and your opinion on the Kinkaku force?
Hidan is my favorite akatsuki member and im glad you did this video thank you nick
His origin story reeks of black zetsu for some reason 😂😂😂😂
To this day we don't know who took down Koukou ( Han).
Finally subbed. You always doing your shit. Respect.
Video is crazy timing. Because I’m rewatching shippuden and just finished Shikamaru’s revenge
Best Hidan explanation on RUclips😮💨😮💨
yep thats what happened, im sold
I love your totodile shirt! That's my favorite starter of all time
Actually jashinism being about severing bonds makes a lot of sense compared to Will of fire being all about bonds
