02:00 Former LED producer here: the dies used on top of LEDs have different transmission levels. That is why cold white LEDs with the same power output provide more light output than a warm white LED due to the phosphor die used on top of the LED to lower the color temperature. There are probably limits on how much color can be compensated for past the output level at 70%.
As this is an OLED panel I believe the phosphor is not involved, instead it's likely an RBGW panel hence the maximum colour luminosity is lower than the maximum white luminosity.
I'm in the lookout for a new laptop that could be used for Linux Data Science Development AND Windows gaming on an external monitor/TV. @Jarrod'sTech reviews are BY FAR, the best reviews on RUclips. Orders of magnitude better than all the others. Keep it up!
Specs aside since gigabyte is typically been great in the spec department my current laptop the aero 15v8 will probably be my last one from gigabyte, there are just too many random oversights and I see they persistent yet again, great review nonetheless 👍
Agreed. I also have the Aero 15v8 and I also feel like it's my last Gigabyte, despite me loving it. There are just too many things about it over the 3 years I've had it to make me want to suffer it again for the price (

I bought this laptop at over 50% off. That being said, I'm probably returning it. The fan noise even at idle is just completely unbearable and wont run lower than 30%. You can control it with Gigabyte's control center, but that app uses up so much cpu that it brings the idle temps up to 50c, and once again forcing the fans to run loud. With the control center running, i get 2hrs of battery life, if it is turned off, I got over 7hrs! I've done all sorts of workarounds, downloading scripts, 3rd party fan controls, none of them work. If anyone has a solution to this please let me know. I really want to keep this thing as I got it for $1,400 retail. Anything else with similar specs runs close to $4k. And that display really is incredible.
Hi, I was thinking of buying this laptop. What is control center and do you think this laptop can last 5h for university work such as writing notes for 1-3h lecture? I use Microsoft word and sometimes need to use google during lecture. I really like this laptop but cant find a website where it has discount on it. If you dont mind, could you tell me where you bought it from? Also, the major issue you find with this laptop is the fans? From a scale of 1 to 10 how loud are they?
@@baldassare5426 I bought it from canada computers, so not sure if the discount is offered in other countries. Gigabyte control center is their program that lets you control fans, lighting etc, power profile, etc. It's buggy and constantly uses up about 5% cpu, causing high temps, and low battery life. You can uninstall the control center and get about 6-7hrs battery life, but you lose some of the keyboard functionality. I'd say the fan noise on IDLE was about a 5/10. I switched to a different laptop and though the fans are running, it's only a mild hum of moving air that I hear. Whereas the gigabyte was just a high pitched sound. It might have been unique to the unit that I bought. So I suggest buying it if there is a return policy. If it wasn't for the fan noise and and control center causing high temps/low battery life, I would have kept it 100%!

I would go for the Legion laptops when they come out. Sure, they are gamer laptops, but they have great performance for the price, although the 2022 models are MIA right now…
Kevin don’t do it. I’ve had a year and half long Aero 15 OLED buyers remorse that I’ve not gotten to shake. I think it started the first day of last fall semester, when the novelty of the 4K screen runs out and I’m charging my laptop 30 minutes in because it already ate up 25% on idle. (i will say it really is easily the best LOOKNG display money can buy on a laptop tho, it’s still not worth it). No idea where reviewers get their figures, but I RMA’d my first copy (it turned out to not be defective at all, the battery life is just the worst). I’ve been envious and jealous of a couple of my classmates with legion 5 pros, 4-5 hours with heavy CAD before needing to plug in at all, 16:10 2560x1600 ips, HDR400 165Hz, and it’s half the price as any comparable aero spec’d. I’m telling you right now Kevin, tell that inner you that wants this laptop to stfu, because ITS NOT WORTH IT DOG. The buyers remorse is crazy, the aero series just isn’t worth it. The 99whr battery MEANS NOTHING. just Trynna save you bro. Don’t do it not worth it. And this dongle feature is really stupid. Really really stupid. Edit: also, YOU. WILL. Get tired and annoyed of needing to function key for your brightness and volume. I almost forgot about control center. Screw gigabyte, cause control center is shit. Gigabyte software for gaming laptops are easily the worst out of any manufacture. There are too many things that the laptop community lets slide from gigabyte, I think among all, it’s the inefficient execution by gigabyte with their consultant underpowered, underperforming components. On paper an aero looks appealing, but the user experience jus r leaves you with the strongest buyers remorse. Just get a legion 5 pro or a legion 7 anything. Edit 2: a funny story I almost forgot… midway through winter semester, I was fed up with my aero 15 and I tried trading my classmate my 3070 108750H 32gb ram for his Legion 5 (non pro) 3060, 5600H 8gb, and he still said no, cause they all know I’m the one constantly charging my shit. It’s a straight hassle bro. glorified desktop replacement since you need to be plugged in 24/7 anyways
@@JacobyPa that's Intel for yeh. Technically you can sell this online and get a Ryzen machine after that. You could probably also buy a screen replacement for it too with a 2K 165hz panel. Although unsure if battery issues persists.
Wow, a Windows laptop with less ports than a MacBook! Good job, Gigabyte! I wonder, is there a way to provide not only noise levels, but noise characteristic? I knew that my Legion 5 will be noisy, but didn't expect it to be high pitched even when under low loads. It kills me, can't use it without background music. I envy my friends Ideapad Gaming fan noise characteristic - sure, it is noisy, but not annoying at the same time. And that laptop was half the price of my Legion... XD
I’m actually so disappointed in these new Aeros, I bought mine because it was quite literally as full as it could have been with ports, but now there’s less than a dell…
I got an Aero 16 a couole weeks ago and so far I like it. I think the ports issue is not a huge deal given they provided a hub. And, they provide a usb-c wire connector to go with the hub to a port which makes it just fine imo. I bought the version with a 3070ti and 12700k. I was able to get an open box version for 2100 total with taxes.

I just ordered this from Newegg. AERO 16 XE5-73US948HP with 2 tb ssd 32g ram 3070ti card. Wonder why they don't place a thin removable lint filters on the intake vents to reduce dust accumulation. Aero 15 was doing fine. The only downsides are the nose cam, the wobly screen and the software. They should've focused on fixing that instead of redesigning it and removing all the important things that creator uses (I MEAN THE F*CKING SD CARD SLOT GONE?!). In my opinion the old aero 15 chassis looks sexier too. I really wished they used that same design with a little improvements or even just color options. Disappointed about where gigabyte is leading the aero line.... it used to be great. Oh well just pulled the trigger on zephyrus "m16" (no pun intended)
I7 3070ti for 1400 is insane! Best deal I could find that had more than 1 thunderbolt port. You'll likely be less thermally restrained as well because of the slightly lower spec parts. so coompared to other I7/3070ti systems i bet performance is similar. I'll see when I get mine :)

Hey jarrod when are ryzen 6000 series laptops coming? I would like to see if AMD's effienciency claims for 6000 series are true. The g14 is a single data point
The battery life is superb. I've an asus g15 2022 that comes with 6800h and 3060(140watt) recently and it just blew my mind how far gaming on laptop has come.
I do not know, but I haven't been sent anything apart from 6900HS in the G14, which means probably AMD delays. That said I bought a 6800H TUF A15 which should be here soon.
I have last years aero 15 OLED with a 3060, I don’t game on it now cuz I fucked up the gpu using Liquid Metal so it doesn’t work, I saw the aero 16 on sale on Amazon for 1499 and I couldn’t pass it up at that price, you will not find a laptop of this build quality, screen, power at this size and price, the 3060 was perfect for 1080p, I’ve played some games in 4K but at like 40-50 fps plugged into my 4k120hz tv, the experience in 4k was okay, it was slow compared to higher refresh rate games but it was visually beautiful, I think the 3070 TI will be quite decent for 1440p 80-90 fps which is not bad for a laptop and in 4k it will run 40-60 fps depending on the game ( definitely not cyberpunk) and a lot of games now have DLSS which can help you boost your fps by a decent margin without too much visual loss, so I’m waiting rn but I know I’m gonna love the laptop when I get it, I still only play connected to an external 144hz monitor so I have the best of both worlds and I recommend you do the same if you buy it
@@ever45 yes I have the aero 16, it’s great, I love it, except the awful gigabyte software, the screen is amazing but ofc limited to 60hz which is not ideal nowadays but I have a 144hz monitor I plug it into for gaming, I also flashed the vbios to increase the wattage of the GPU as 105W is fairly low, I flashed it to 140W with huge performance gains, I can play some games in 4k 60fps (with DLSS), the build quality is excellent and it looks great, feels like a windows MacBook if you know what I mean, for the price I paid (1400 USD) which is almost 1000 dollars cheaper than MSRP, you won’t find anything better than this at this price.

if there's honestly anything impressive about the numbers given in these tests (for creative performance) is how the MacBook Pro's are performing at a very near level of comparative laptops, but using three times less wattage. Like seriously, 50W vs 150W and still punching with the big boys.
The OLED screen, 3070 ti and 12700 at 1600 dollars on Best Buy made it too good for me to pass up. The screen is amazing. I play games at 2560x1600 I think it is and idk my thoughts are even tho that’s not ideal, the OLED more than makes up for it in terms of picture quality. I prefer this OLED screen at lower than native resolution over my LG 34 gp83b (ultrawide 3440x1440p) for my desktop. LCD with minimal backlight zones are dead to me. Overall cool laptop. I’m not planning to ever use it for games like cyberpunk, etc. I’ve been using it for XCom2 and that sort of game and it looks great. Coil whine for sure. 3070 ti runs cool but the 12700h absolutely does not.
I'm trying to decide between the AERO 16 XE4 (with a 12700H, 3070 ti 105w, DDR4, etc) for $1099 and a Gigabyte A7 K1 for $875 (which has a 5800h and 130w 3060); on both i'd be swapping in 2x32gb 2666mhz DDR4 ram and additional storage. The Aero seems like an almost clearly better choice, but I'm concerned how the 12th gen processor will play with W10 or if disabling the E-cores to fix those issues will negate the better processor, and if the QHD resolution might actually hurt more then it would help at a screen size like this: I'd rather run games at higher settings at 1080p then lower settings at 2400p or upscale, and running games at lower resolutions but windowed seems like it'd be pretty small on a 16in screen, though I can't say for sure since I can't test it yet, of course. Thoughts? I do a lot of multitasking (literal hundreds of internet tabs at once, tons of multi-layer image files, etc) gaming, and some light video editing/rendering.

Just to a great open box deal on this very spec. Having the 3080 with 16gb was what sold me on it. They main thing that bugs me is the connection hub. It's flimsy and feels like an afterthought. I often have things plugged in so this has to be used most of the time.

Hey Jarrod. Than you for reviewing all those laptops! I am looking for a laptop that I can use for music production. Would you be able to indicate which laptop seems to suit best this type of use, which has the lowest audio latency ? That would be so helpful and much appreciated.
Dear jarrod. I have become confused lately when I decided to buy a new laptop from canada. I have chosen two devices. The Aero 16 (2TB Gen4, SSD, 32Gb ram ddr5, 3070 ti, 12700h) and ge66 raider (12700h, 3070ti, 512gb gen4 ssd, 16gb ddr5). I am a computer science student from Bangladesh, I am buying it from canada through my uncle on black friday sale. Could you please recommend which one should I pick? It will be a huge help to me taking out my cynicism. Thanks in advance.
Jarrod, and anyone else reading this comment, for games like Warzone and Assasin's Creed, I am confused between two laptops. Can you help me ? 1. Dell G15: i7 12700H + RTX3060 + DDR5 RAM @4800 MHz + FHD screen @ 165Hz 2. Lenovo Legion 5: Ryzen 5 5600H + RTX 3070 + DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz + FHD screen @ 165Hz Which one should I go for ? Both are roughly the same price.
You should probably get the Legion 5 bc Intel runs hot and draws more power compared to Ryzen, but the G14 has DDR5 compared to the Legion 5 and has faster memory speeds, so maybe wait for Jarod to review the latest Dell G15 and the latest Legion 5 since he reviewed last years Legion 5.
According to Jarrod's testing the 3070 is about 25% faster than the 3060 and it has 2 extra gigs of vram too. If you do a lot of cpu heavy creator tasks I'd consider the G15 but the legion is much better for gaming due to the 3070. Also 6 cores look to be enough for the foreseeable future so you shouldn't have a problem there. Both the screens are really good DDR5 4800 doesn't really give an improvement over DDR4 in almost all games tbh. Tl;Dr go for legion if you're exclusively gaming
"Best Laptop for Creators & Gamers?" - Lol oh dear. So the answer is an emphatic "No", then. 3080 Ti 16GB with 90w power? A bloody DONGLE in 2022 (see how long that lasts before breaking when placed on a laptop stand and the weight of several cables tugging it down). Also it's horrendously ugly with the black trackpad. $4300 is a joke. Anyone who buys these must be insane when machines less than half the price run rings around it when it comes to performance in productivity tasks AND games. What a heap of junk. Once you go north of £2000 it really is a case of extreme diminishing returns and endless gimmicks. A QHD IPS display is more than fine. No need to throw cash away for an OLED and massively underpowered internals. You could buy a Legion 5i Pro, 12700H, 3070 Ti, 32GB DDR5 RAM for £1629, AND an LG C1 48" OLED for £900, and still have about £1500 spare compared with buying this. And all that stuff about certain software and benchmarks flat out not working just screams "Stay away". Burn it / bin it.
Jarrod did change the subtitle to "Why Did They Do This?", which I completely agree with. They made negative changes with the ports and that with the higher price tag, awful speakers still, and continued software glitches make me not even want to consider this laptop. Thank goodness I got the Legion 7. Sure, it's missing PCIe Gen 4 and Thunderbolt 4 on my unit, but I don't care about the latter and the former isn't really useful to me. Plus the port selection on the Legion is MILES better, it has a MUX switch, a full-powered RTX 3080 GPU, and while the 16:10 2560x1600 screen may not be as high gamut, it still is better and currently still the only AMD Ryzen laptop with a 16:10 1600p screen (apart from the Legion 5 Pro with the same screen). Not only that, it runs Garuda Linux like a champ and the performance profiles still work on Linux! Gigabyte sucks on Linux and not having a Caps Lock light would really bug me.
I’m actually so disappointed in these new Aeros, I bought mine because it was quite literally as full as it could have been with ports, but now there’s less than a dell…
Samsung is releasing a high-refresh 15" OLED panel by the end of the year, they will be available on select laptops like "Asus ZenBook Flip 15" and "Razer Blade 15" to name a few.
funny, down load more ports. I really liked the look of this laptop compared to past Gigabyte laptops, sorry to see there are some issues with it. Thanks for the great review.
Since you've reviewed plenty of Gigabyte laptops, I'd like to ask you something. Have you been using the Gigabyte Control Center? I bought a Gigabyte AERO5 XE4 (i7 12700H, 3070 Ti), and the latest updates, both GCC and NVIDIA, killed the performance it had when I first used it. GCC can't be rolled back, but the NVIDIA drivers can, which solved half the performance issues. GCC used to be able to change CPU TDP on the fly by switching power plans, but after the latest update it stays stuck at 45W unless I change it manually via XTU. Choosing any profile within GCC now only changes fan profiles, which is pointless when you're not increasing power to the CPU as it only adds noise to the experience. The latest NVIDIA drivers removed the power limit option, locking the GPU to not go over 109W, but going back 2 versions fixed this. I'll update once they add the option back. As for GCC, when you try to roll it back to a previous version, the app opens an internal browser with the link to the latest version, completely disabling all other functions. Updating or rolling back BIOS made no difference. The Gigabyte power profiles were 45W for power saving, 55W for balanced and 70W for high performance. Since it stays at 45W, the CPU doesn't even reach the base clocks, causing performance within games and other apps to drop substantially. I also tried uninstalling GCC altogether, but the problem with this is the "Turbo" fan profile. This fan profile reaches a speed over any other profile, and it's the one that drops the temps the most. When GCC is uninstalled, this fan profile is never applied, so applying the High Performance power profile (or setting the TDP to 70W as intended before the update) causes thermal throttling, which it didn't do with the Turbo fan profile. So, with all this said, what has your experience been with GCC (if you've been using it), and have you seen performance issues with the updates?
@@WeeeAffandi There were 3 BIOS versions within the Driver Downloads page of my model. I also checked comparable AORUS models and sometimes there was only one BIOS, others 2-3.
@@Alexpiano9104 Yes. I first installed the previous update, and my laptop keyboard had some colors enabled, red, orange and green. I contacted Gigabyte about it, basically telling them to fully enable the RGB in this keyboard since it obviously is, but their answer was that, because of the model, the color was locked to white. A couple days later the latest update rolled out, disabling the keyboard color change and setting it to white only, but that update completely disabled the TDP changing with power profiles. Tried to roll back GCC to the earliest version, but when it loaded, all that was available was a browser within GCC with the link to download the latest version.
Hideously expensive, terrible port selection makes this hard to recommend. However, chassis looks nice and if you're going to go silver, black keyboard is the way to go for contrast.
Hi, have you bought it? I got my hands on deal with a second hand aero 17, 4k120hz mini led, rtx 3070ti and i712th gen and I really wanna own it but everyone's saying it sucks especially with battery life, I'm not really into battery and I'm fine with almost anything but some say it's about 1-3 hours which is horrible, I still need a little battery lofe for uni just like 4-5h, I'd appreciate it so much if you could tell me about your experience and other stuff
Hi Jarrod'sTech, aren't you going to review the new 2023 Aero 16? cause Gigabyte actually listened to you and digged a few classic holes into the laptop. The way I see it; The 2022 Aero was created with genuine passion and it was superior product, the 2023 is a result of complaints such as this video and is a downgrade in my opinion despite generational upgrade. What are your thoughts? Thanks Edit: The fact that Jarrod never pays attention to the people who watch his videos and post questions is something I wanted to point out. Or may be he's outgrown the audience and can't handle it.
Please review MSI z16 and z17 for gaming specially Red Dead 2. The MSI Z series laptop are extremely beautiful, unlike other MSI laptops, and I'd like to see how they perform in gaming.
I personally donbt trust OLED anymore after having to return my AERO 15 from last year when i got it, due to a green tint on one side of the screen. The fault is something to do with the organic nature of OLED. But the worst part is newegg Canada refused to admit it had a defect despite me sending them a picture of the screen. So they wouldnt give a full refund. Tbh there is too many things to worry about with OLED Im fine with a great LCD for gaming

Hey! I know this video is old, however I have this laptop and the leftside USB-C doesn't detect any of my external displays (tried several), did you have to change any settings to get it to detect displays on your device?
Why is it that if you see a monitor advertized colorful liquid paint or water droplets, you know its either OLED, AMOLED, QDOLED, or QLED(not an emissive technology, but it looks like OLED so advertizers use the same marketing any way) You'd think liquids would be used to advertized liquid crystal displays
You forgot the missing SD card, which, as much as I hate Dell's XPS products, at least their XPS 15 & 17 still have a full-sized one built-in with no dongle required! And heck, even APPLE reversed course and readded one! Add the software glitches for CREATOR'S APPLICATIONS, the port selection being worse than a 16 inch MacBook Pro from 2019, and the rather high to ridiculously high price of the models, and I don't think it's worth it at all...
Ugh, so the CPU never runs above 45W if the GPU is being used? In most real world usage wouldn't the GPU always be in some sort of use state? If so, the CPU is only going to be at max 45W, only marginally better performance than AMD 6800 at that power, but with shocking battery life.... so whats the point.
Hey Jarrod, would you be able to review the HP Omen 17? I have one with a 3080 and it's awesome, I feel odd having a laptop that seems to be some hidden secret you find almost nothing about on the internet lol.
No point the omen 17s are all full power gaming beasts. The reason you don’t see them is HP doesn’t send out free review units and none of these dudes are going to go out buying them for these. That said almost all the omen lineup go under rated. Though I can say the 15 and 16 have very bad things about them but the 17 is glorious in every way.
After watching all the video reviews and all things considered, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro 12700H/3070Ti is the best laptop for content creators. That's just my experience and analysis.
as a normie pc user, having no ports other than usb c automatically throws that computer on the bottom of the barrel, no matter the specs. much rather have an i5 with ports that an i9 without ports. ethernet is a must
I really don't understand why a 16" laptop should not have a proper full-size keyboard!!? Why there is no enough connectivity ports? why there is no laptop out there with good specs? I wish I could find the designers :))
I bought a gigabyte Aero 16 with 3070ti and i7 about 4 months ago, recently it started turning off randomly, screen black out , wifi occasionally looses connection. Now it is in the service center. Hope they can fix it. Am I the only one who is faced with such issues? With my previous laptops I had no such issues.
I had somewhat similar issue with screen black outs (sometimes it would become glitchy and would require a restart). I installed a new RAM last week and so far its been running fine.
I had that problem of powering on, and then a few seconds later, it shut down randomly once. After powering on a second time, it doesn't happen again. I was using liquid metal, after moving it to Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut it stopped randomly shutting down.
Kinda like MacBook Pro from 2016. All USB C. It was Pretty Cool because just use 1 Cable for everything. But it was end up became disappointed for Creators who love Lot of Ports
I have the 3070 ti version and didn't find it particularly hot or loud. It's like Razer with heat, and less noisy IMO. Actually i don't even understand people complaining about loud fans. It's very quiet still runs the latest games well.
Goddamn this laptop would be perfect for me if it had the same ports as their last gen and a numpad. I guess the Aero 5 is the next best thing but without the 16:10 screen and thinness but has more performance

02:00 Former LED producer here:
the dies used on top of LEDs have different transmission levels.
Almost 500k now, great job brother!

XD
This is bad for gigabyte but the one USB C Macbook took the cake still.
I’m actually so disappointed in these new Aeros, I bought mine because it was quite literally as full as it could have been with ports, but now there’s less than a dell…
True, but Apple doesn't include a hub, and would charge it 150$
I got an Aero 16 a couole weeks ago and so far I like it. I think the ports issue is not a huge deal given they provided a hub. And, they provide a usb-c wire connector to go with the hub to a port which makes it just fine imo. I bought the version with a 3070ti and 12700k. I was able to get an open box version for 2100 total with taxes.

2. Lenovo Legion 5: Ryzen 5 5600H + RTX 3070 + DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz + FHD screen @ 165Hz
Which one should I go for ?
Both the screens are really good

Hey jarrod nice review as always. Would you consider doing the msi creator z16 or z16p review?
Probably not those specific models, but I will have a review on the Z17.
Which laptop is cheaper and more productive for gaming? Can you tell me please?
I’m actually so disappointed in these new Aeros, I bought mine because it was quite literally as full as it could have been with ports, but now there’s less than a dell…
We need 16" 16/10 QHD glossy OLED screens with 165Hz option on all crator/gaming laptops
Samsung is releasing a high-refresh 15" OLED panel by the end of the year, they will be available on select laptops like "Asus ZenBook Flip 15" and "Razer Blade 15" to name a few.
@@blue4059 I hope there's gonna be QHD option, 4k gaming laptops have no sense to me
@@bogdankp Yes, they're both QHD 120Hz i think, though the ZenBook is not a gaming laptop.
funny, down load more ports. I really liked the look of this laptop compared to past Gigabyte laptops, sorry to see there are some issues with it. Thanks for the great review.
Would you consider testing other professional laptops like the Lenovo Thinkpad P1, ZBooks etc.?
This is what the microphone sounds like while actively taking a bong hit @3:34
How did you manage to roll back your BIOS? I want to roll back the bios of my AERO 16 but can't seem to find the previous version from their website
@@WeeeAffandi There were 3 BIOS versions within the Driver Downloads page of my model. I also checked comparable AORUS models and sometimes there was only one BIOS, others 2-3.
@@cianide99Hello did you install the latest GCC?
I have the exact same laptop as you and my battery life is horrible (2hr max) do you have the same problem ?
My English is bad.. Is this laptop good for graphic design ? Any help 🙂
does the hdmi port connect directly to the gpu?
Hideously expensive, terrible port selection makes this hard to recommend. However, chassis looks nice and if you're going to go silver, black keyboard is the way to go for contrast.
13:48 That's how we should set the fan, (Labyrinth mode) 😂
I'm going to buy aero 17 xe5. So I'm going to look at your reviews and decide. I'll wait for your review
90w RTX 3080 w/ 4K screen. Kinda like putting a lawnmower engine in a Bugatti.
LMAO
Hi Jarrod'sTech, aren't you going to review the new 2023 Aero 16? cause Gigabyte actually listened to you and digged a few classic holes into the laptop. The way I see it; The 2022 Aero was created with genuine passion and it was superior product, the 2023 is a result of complaints such as this video and is a downgrade in my opinion despite generational upgrade. What are your thoughts? Thanks
Edit: The fact that Jarrod never pays attention to the people who watch his videos and post questions is something I wanted to point out.
Tbh there is too many things to worry about with OLED Im fine with a great LCD for gaming
including a linux support is amazing. Thanks man
You're welcome!
Interesting fan curve you're setting there...😂
haha, yeah I noticed that too.
Hi Jarrod! Can we mix 1Rx8(single rank) with 2Rx8(dual rank) ? Or will it create any blue screen issue in future? Pls help.
Hey jarrod, great vid. I have a question, do u have an idea of what the desktop nvidia gpu equivalent is to the AMD Radeon RX 6800M? (asus rog g15)
6800m is a 6700XT. So around 3060ti.
Hi they said 12th gen locked chips can not be undervalued, how about this since its a HK processor?
I really wanted to know the hinge close speed before the benchmarks, thanks
Hey jarrod you have disabled ai boost, which limits the tgp to 95w, after enabling it you can reach 105w tgp.
Hey Jarrod, which of the flagship gaming class laptops have the best build quality this year?
Razer
@@JarrodsTech I agree. Lenovo's 2022 Legion 7 looks close though.
I have an issue with this laptop turning on in my backpack. Seems pressure on the lid presses on the power button. I've had to resort to putting a spacer between the lid and the keyboard to prevent it. Annoying to find it hot and / or battery dead.
Hi, can I use KINGSTON FURY Impact code "KF432S20IB/8" with Acer Nitro i5-11400H, 8GB, 512GB, RTX3060?
Because you said Don't use XMP rams with laptops doesn't support it.
So any idea?
ist it more a white-silver or just normal silver?
Hey! I know this video is old, however I have this laptop and the leftside USB-C doesn't detect any of my external displays (tried several), did you have to change any settings to get it to detect displays on your device?
Why is it that if you see a monitor advertized colorful liquid paint or water droplets, you know its either OLED, AMOLED, QDOLED, or QLED(not an emissive technology, but it looks like OLED so advertizers use the same marketing any way)
You'd think liquids would be used to advertized liquid crystal displays
I found one 3070ti with only $1100, I wonder if I should I buy it
What tool did you use to get the precise reading for CPU & GPU power usage in watts?
hwinfo
This Aero laptop is a creators dream machine.
Ain't nobody got time for an intro!
Whats the screen resolution and refresh?
Whats TDP on your GPU?

After watching all the video reviews and all things considered, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro 12700H/3070Ti is the best laptop for content creators. That's just my experience and analysis.
Why? This Aero same build, but better with display Amoled 4K and 2Tb storage.

as a normie pc user, having no ports other than usb c automatically throws that computer on the bottom of the barrel, no matter the specs. much rather have an i5 with ports that an i9 without ports. ethernet is a must
I really don't understand why a 16" laptop should not have a proper full-size keyboard!!? Why there is no enough connectivity ports? why there is no laptop out there with good specs? I wish I could find the designers :))
You can’t download more Ports from the Internet? Only RAM? Damn…
😄
Should I wait for the 2022 Nitro 5 or get the base model Legion 5?
Probably Legion 5.
how is this compare to the HP Omen 16?
Really loved the linux testing that I used the aero15 but there is no solution about the fan adjustment when I used the the pop os 20.04
Im really exited to see how lenovo legion 7 2022 will perform
Same what improvements are you hoping for ?
Kinda like MacBook Pro from 2016. All USB C. It was Pretty Cool because just use 1 Cable for everything. But it was end up became disappointed for Creators who love Lot of Ports
does sodimm for ddr4 and ddr5 have the same slot and interchangeable?

This one or Legion 7?
Anyone used it for more than a month? How is the heat in games? Does it hold under full load without a cooling pad?
Feedback would be appreciated.
I have the 3070 ti version and didn't find it particularly hot or loud. It's like Razer with heat, and less noisy IMO.
Actually i don't even understand people complaining about loud fans. It's very quiet still runs the latest games well.
Please review Tuf A15 2022 model.. i'm eagerly waiting

Try to make a review on mini led model too...
Goddamn this laptop would be perfect for me if it had the same ports as their last gen and a numpad. I guess the Aero 5 is the next best thing but without the 16:10 screen and thinness but has more performance
Where are After Effects results? :(
