This is a awesome sub. In my small room placed right behind my chair, it gives a fantastic explosive and tight punshy bass. Never had this quality bass in my room. Yes the deep deep rumble is not there like i had before, but I think this also is a advantage since there no rattling room noice or standing waves to interfere with the sound. So all sound is tight, and the clearity and details of all sounds are much higher than I had before with my (now broken) dual Ken Kreisel 808.
Nice review, as usual. SVC support told me to use a dental tool to pull and not pry against the edge of the finish. I ended up leaving my covers on. I have this sub along with a pair of their Ultra Bookshelves and could not be happier. Yes, the app for the sub is a huge bonus. All are in piano black and the finish and feel is extraordinary. Quality abounds with these speakers, and the sound from the trio is impressive as hell. I am very happy with SVS and their products.
Great review man!! This was a really fun little sub to test out, pushed out quite a bit of bass for such a small cabinet. Feels like they manage to fit a lot of features into these subs for the price. Love seeing the drivers too!! 👍
Hi Nemo. Would you still be recommending the Rythmik F12 for critical music listening at low to moderate volumes? I want a small, discrete, beautiful sub that is audiophile quality and has high wife-acceptance factor. I don’t need intense pressurization or wall-rattling bass, just accuracy to fill in music roughly 50 Hz and below. I appreciate the flexibility of the app with SVS SB3000 Micro, but am concerned the SVS might not be fast enough or accurate enough with my fussy/discerning ears. Thoughts? Thank you.
Hi clearance, you are describing REL T5X! Or maybe even T7X, that's what you should go for. The Rythmik F12 is equally as good but being larger it will be happier at louder volumes, theres no sense in buying a 12" if you're only going to have the gain set 2-3 clicks up from zero. As far as how SVS compares I made a video about that you may find useful: ruclips.net/video/rEz03XkcslI/видео.html
Really enjoy your reviews! Appreciate the comparisons to other subs near the price range as that's what most of us can't afford to do ourselves. Subbed!
Hey Dean, the F12 is much larger so it's not a fair comparison but the F12 is undeniably better, if you can physically and alethically fit a larger sub (within reason) you always should. With these micro subs a good chunk of your money is going towards keeping things small while still having a good bottom end and decent SPL output for the size.
yes they do! it varies based on materials used but the suspension (spider) can loosen up and the adhesive that holds the surround to the basket can break down over time, usually around the 20 year mark but storage conditions, usage, and material choices can have a big impact on that. The cone intself and surround can also breakdown or degrade with age, usually you can see this visually. If it looks good and still sounds good I wouldn't worry about it too much. Oh yeah, and of course the plate amp ages also but I don't know too much about that, IIRC the caps can lose value with age.
Hi Nemo, I am also a sucker for looks and also have the Buchardt S400 in my living room for that matter. I am looking to extend the lows and give the S400s some more bass weight at lower volumes. Having a hard time deciding between the KEF KC62 and the SVS micro. How does the SVS blend with the Buchardt S400? You specifically said the KC62 was one of the easiest subs to blend with the S400s. In Europe the price difference is more like 30% due to import fees on SVS. I really prefer the looks of the SVS over the Kef...
Both actually blend very well with the S400 but the S400 is very strong down to 30hz so you need a sub with as much extension and authority down low as possible. For that reason the KC62 is the easy recommendation here.
The short answer is they can't and don't compare. The SB3000 is capable of a monstrous 127dB at 30hz while the Micro can manage a very respectable 105dB at 30hz. That's nowhere close and adding a second Micro will not get anywhere near the 127dB the SB3000 is capable of. And that's just SPL, the SB3000 can also extend lower. The reality is the Micro is an awesome subwoofer and supremely capable for how compact it is and a pair would have tremendous bass for how small they are but comparing them to something larger doesn't make sense. Easiest way to remember this is even the cheaper but still larger SB1000 Pro can put out 116dB at 30hz. If you have a space constraint or just want a small sub the Micro is one of the finest you can buy but if you can fit a larger sub just get the SB2000 Pro for the same price :). Sorry for the long reply, hopefully this answers your question in a meaningful way.
@@NemoPropaganda With all due respect, don't try and dumb yourself down to peons. Sometimes the answer take more than 140 characters to properly explain. That was not too long of a response at all. Just a little bit about myself, my car has a JL W6 12 ported in the trunk. So I know a little about subwoofer displacement. My interest in the 3000 micros has more to do with their WAF, not only from an aesthetic standpoint but also trying not to shake the rest of the house, while still truly enjoying the home theater experience. After all she thinks our Q950A soundbarin the living room has enough bass, so I'm kind of walking a fine line when it comes to home theater setup.
@@4fastdrs I think the Micro is perfect for you then, anyone remotely familiar with subwoofers & bass should be nothing short of impressed by what such a little box can do. The only one more impressive is the KC62 but that's nearly double the price!!
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks For your insight. $1500 for the KC62 Is a very hard pill to swallow in comparison to in comparison to 2 3000 micros, It's an impossible pill to swallow in comparison to the SB4000 also $1500. I honestly feel like dual 3000 micros will have people more impressed then having one massive sub . Where it definitely sounds amazing, but that's kind of obvious given its size . If people leave the house in amazement by what could be done with such a small set up I'm happy.
@@4fastdrs yeah the kc62 is hard to justify but I figured I'd mention it. let us know how the pair of micro work out for you, order soon though as the price is going up on october 4th!!!!!
Hi there ! I'm running Q Acoustics 3050 and while it has good bass presence, definition is not good. I'm thinking of adding a Sub, my room is 250 sq ft ( 15 ft x 15ft ). I listen primarily to music, would you recommend a single REL T5X or the SVS 3000 MICRO or the Kc62 ? I can only afford space for 1 sub unfortunately, and where I come from they cost $750/$1077/$1400 respectively. I had the chance to demo the SVS 3000 Micro and found the bass far tighter than the wallowy SB1000 Pro. I like a clear articulate bass drum slam. Thank you so much for your wonderful review!
@@NemoPropaganda i tested one over the weekend in a shop. in a blind test , i am not confident if I could tell the t5x is on or not. It is that integrated, but at the same time much less wow.
Greetings. Great video. I'm debating in getting a pair of SB1000pro or SB3000micro to pair up with my KLH5 speakers purely for music only in a 15'x11' x9'high room. What are your thoughts?
hi bro, while I'm intimately familiar with subwoofers I have not heard the KLH model five so I'm not sure how they pair with these subwoofers specifically. All I will say is if the tiny size of the micro is not super important for you the SB1000 Pro is more powerful overall and still very small :)
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks for the response. There is a sale with the SB3000micro here in Australia, dropping the price to almost on par with the SB1000pro ash blk at present, making it very affordable. Always a hard decision especially when I'm buying online without demo. Currently I paired my KLH5 ( 3 way bass reflex with 10" driver) with my old Yamaha NS-SW1000 subwoofer ( 12" 1000w, 42kg weight obsolete now) & it does sound really good. This big heavy sub is very fast, tight & can play loud when required but its for my tv room. Then again what you said is right, to mirror/ match my old sub, I 'm better off with 2x12" sb1000pro for a bigger soundstage. cheers
Great review. Love the Shaft reference. I did not mind the ads... I am glad they promote the channel. I absolutely love SVS an KEF pushing the envelope. But my money still going toward Rythmik for home theater or REL for music
Well thanks to your advice and video I purchased the SVS Micro3000! Like you, I play at reasonable volumes say 85dB or lower. In my medium size open den I am amazed it sounds exactly like my SB3000. Question: In a music only system from a preamp without DSP, do I go into the LEF channel or the other channel. Any benefit using a splitter? I have plenty of gain at -15 with a single cable. Thanks again for the purchasing advice.
I don't use splitters personally so I couldn't say. I'm not sure which channel you should be going into as each manufacturer could be different, I believe with SVS it doesn't matter but def email them if you want to be sure.
@@adamswift1747 The Micro sounds incredible! Yes it is fast and keeps up with all my other speakers. Zero delay. The only downside is max volume. At times I wish I had more headroom but I'm maxed out. For 95% of my usage I never need more. I tell people who don't need the extreme small form factor, go with the SB2000. Same $900, same sound signature, more output/goes lower.
I love that you admit to using earplugs lol. I myself carry a pair for use at theaters, theme parks, etc. I'm pretty sure these venues are catering to a general public with partial hearing loss, or they are knowingly blasting people with unhealthy levels of sound to induce cheap (but damaging) thrills. I'll gladly trade the momentary embarrassment for being able to hear the finer details of music into my old age. Our ears are the only equipment we cannot replace! P.S. For those interested, there are various "earplugs" designed to attenuate specific frequencies vs outright noise cancellation, thus claiming to reduce damaging decibel levels while maintaining sound quality. I have no idea if they are as safe as earplugs, but I have found them to work great.
100% agree, I just went boating this weekend, I even wear earplugs doing that. 80+mph of wind noise plus the sound of a 1000hp supercharged V8 behind you easily cracks 110dB+. I don't know how the rest of my friends do it without earplugs. And we're not just riding around for 5 minutes either, this is sustained 110+dB for 20-40 minutes at a time depending on where we're going.
@@NemoPropaganda Yeah dude, that sounds pretty loud! Wind noise is a thing, isn't it? I have worse hearing in my left ear than my right ear, and I am pretty sure it's from years of driving on the freeway with my window down when I used to smoke. PSA kids, don't smoke. You'll protect your lungs and your hearing.
You mentioned in the Rel t/5x review that you were going to do a comparison with the SVS Micro 3000 when you did this video. Can you make a few comments on that? I'm interested in 2.1 only and I don't usually play that loud. Mostly like indie/alternative. My system is Magnepan LRS speakers right now (I'm experimenting with a Nakamichi TA/4A and have an HK Citation 12 which is being repaired which I will also try along with an HK Citation 21 preamp and I'm going to play with these to see what sounds best) with a Nikko Alpha 230 amp and a HK Citation 11 preamp. Decent sized room but it has some mid-room wall issues.
Mmm yes I remember, sorry i left that out but it was for good reason, if you watch my REL T9X video in there I explained why these two brands should not be cross shopped. The presentation is very different on each.
@@NemoPropaganda Watched the Rel T9X video and I see what you're saying. I was more wondering if these micro subs like the SVS and KEF are faster and thus pair with my speakers better as some reviewers are implying. You certainly make the T9X sound good though. I've ordered the T5X and can't wait to hear it.
@@jonathanreich6360 better compared to their larger counterparts yes but the Micro 3000 is still an SPL-centric subwoofer while the KC62 is right in the middle. Both will offer up tons more SPL and pressurize larger spaces than a single T5X can and they will still sound good doing it. With respect to fidelity the T5X being an SQ-centric subwoofer will take that crown. You can have high SPL out of an SQ sub, it's just more expensive. Between SPL, SQ, and Affordability you can only pick 2 of those things. Rythmik gets the closest to giving you all 3 though a la the F12SE at $1149 if you can handle something larger. If you're not in the US expect to pay freight though.
Thanks for the interesting and helpful review. You mention a preference for having 2 Micros over 1 KC62. If money was no object, would you not recommend having dual KC62's in a small room? Conventional wisdom suggests that 2 subs are better than one..thanks.
i own two bowers and wilkins db3d how would thesis compare as i would like two more subs in the back of the room just for movies only as i could save a bunch of money. any thoughts
Hey Elk, congrats, those DB3D are fantastic, expensive, but fantastic! Most people would generally recommend against mixing brands of subwoofers however having heard the DB3D a few times I feel something from Rythmik is a closer tonal match, like their F12 model.
Yup! lol, it's what I sit on in just about every video, HT-1205, it's brand new and I'm starting to wear off the branding, I need to start sitting on something else lol.
Perfect timing on the review. The micro has been at the top of my list for a new subwoofer. Love the form factor. Allows room to easily do a dual subwoofer setup.
Would this micro be good with my 2 SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers? For kitchen listening. Kitchen is about 18x18. I like to crank heavy metal, thrash. Zeppelin. etc. Thanks for any advice. I'm trying to keep kitchen looking nice. A huge subwoofer would look odd in here.
Hi, I'm wondering about to buy one of SVS subwoofers, SVS-SB1000 and 3000-Micro...but I need some help because the only place when I could put the subwoofer is in the corner, 3000 micro has a speakers on the sides and im wondering if it is ok if one of them will be like 20cm close to the wall, and even closer to the curtains? or I should definitely goes with SB-1000 Pro with speaker on the front? Thank You for Your advice and for Your great reviews sending from Poland :)
If you don’t need the tiny size of Micro for sure get sb1000 pro. Sb1000 pro is still very small but has more extension and output than micro. 1000 pro is my favorite svs sub.
@@NemoPropaganda thank You for Your advise:) decision is made, I will share my thoughts after buying and trying it:) Keep doing what you are doing! Great work, I like your “sound taste” and that you remember that not all of people need and can have a big and very expensive stuff…it’s more like a great review and honest advise for random music and sound lovers :)
they're super different, the 3000 micro is for the dude that wants maximum output from a tiny cube, its extension and output can't rival larger subs of course but its very respectable for the size where the T5X wont extend as low or play as loud it will instead have much better bass fidelity.
After I got the speakers (Aria 906) sorted out , I am looking for a subwoofer. I am not a loud listener (80 db max, mostly around 70 db) even for movies. I am a bit frustrated as I am between SB 3000 micro and SB 2000 PRO. It will be nice to have the white finish of the 3000 (my wife will be really happy), but I am a bit unsure about the difference of 4 Hz. Is that so important ? Also, you are saying the 3000 is lacking above 50 Hz, as Aria's lower end is 55 Hz, would SB 2000 PRO be better on that part than 3000 micro ?
Hey bro, I love SVS and I love Focal but they are not a good match with eachtother at all but if you really like SVS I think the SB1000 pro will best match the Aria and that comes in gloss white.
@@NemoPropaganda what would you recommend for Aria's around the same price and that can go nice also with movies? I am from Europe so Rhytmik is not an option. :(
@@NemoPropaganda Got the HT1205 and it is fast enough for the Arias. It goes a bit lower than I really need :) . The only problem I have is with the crossover point, as sometimes I like 60Hz, but listening after few hours I prefer 80Hz. Not sure how to decide on this :(.
I think it's a shame they won't respond to any of my emails so I can't review it, that saltyness aside it's a bit old now and I'd rather have something like the KEF KF92 (or KC62) at that price if I was looking for that kind of design and form factory.
@@NemoPropaganda What a shame. You have awesome ASW608 review. B&W is producing nice sounding and looking gear. It would be great to see them more in video reviews like Yours.
Nice review again. Thank you. Please could sb3000 and sb3000 micro be used simultaneously if one wanted to add a second subwoofer to reduce dead spots?
SVS makes subwoofers very consistently (a good thing) so they all have a similar tonal character and sound so yes you can mix any of them. My only advice would be to stick with sealed or ported. Like you can mix the SB subs together or the PB subs together but you should not mix SB with PB. Also I think mixing SB1000 Pro with SB3000 will give you better results for less money. The SB1000 is still very small and is capalbe of more output than the Micro 3000 all while being al ittle cheaper. The Micro is expensive because its small, like a thin laptop.
I don't know if this is for theater or music but why not something narrow like the Arendal 1961 1S, that's 12.4" wide and gives you a 12" driver. As far as your question goes the T5X has better bass detail & texture while the Mirco will be able to play much louder and lower.
@@NemoPropaganda definitely not alone! i take earplugs to bars or any live-music event! want to preserve my ears for the music...not the noise pollution.
Back in the day when I used to attend concerts on a regular basis as a teen, I used to try to find a spot to sit where it was not too loud inside the arena. After years of too freaking loud for my ears I just stopped going to concerts performed in arena's. I too am a low to moderate volume listener when spinning music but I do like to crank my 2.0 H.T. a bit.
Love your reviews, always so detailed and great information. I just ordered one to use in my office with my pc set up. I really like how small it is and yet so powerful! I also ordered the rsl 12s for my theater set up, can't wait to get it set up and shakin the foundation off it's base 😅😅😅😅😅 rock on 🤘 👌!!!!
Thanks for the great review and comparisons Nemo. I've been following and watching your channel for a long time now. Glad to see you picking up many more subscribers! I was in between 2 x SVS 1000 Pro (for $ savings) but I like that the 3000 Micro cabinet doesn't rattle, looks fantastic, and can be potentially be in a cabinet or on top of a drawer. Ended up ordering a pair of the Micros even though I think one would have been good enough in my small office / bedroom (12x12). This will be used with my desktop setup only for music. Hoping they integrate and blend well with my bookshelves. The app is a huge huge selling factor. I'll try to integrate as best I can before getting a Minidsp with DIRAC room correction. Btw how does the SVS app handle two 3000Micro subs? Is there some pairing features within the app or do I need to set the EQ independently for each sub?
There is a dropdown at the top of the app and you select which sub you want to adjust so it's really easy. I suggest you rename them so you remember which one you are adjusting :) It should be really easy and having a pair you can play with placement options like having one on the opposite side of the room, should help a lot in a desktop scenario!
After watching your reviews on subwoofer, and struggling between REL, Rythmik, and etc, I have (Finally!) boiled down to either SVS micro 3000 or KC62. I am using Focal Chora 816 and am 80% movies. Aesthetically, the more squarely micro 3000 match Chora better IMO, but I also want better base. Price aside, which one would you prefer? My listening area is 9 x 9 x 11 but it extends to the dining area which makes it 9 x 9 x 24. Thank you for much for your help all the way along!
Hey Chicken! So I'm a big Focal user myself as I own both Chora 806 and Aria 906. Focal drivers are light weight and very quick, the Micro was able to keep up and blend well but the KC62 did a better job with it's magnesium drivers (that's no surprise). The lightweight CarbonGlas driver of the REL HT series was also an excellent match for the Focal speakers (tonally speaking) and gave me a little more bass detail than the Micro. Just curious but is there any reason you're not considering a pair of (or single) REL HT-1003? Sounds like you want a small sub that matches the Chora well and the line grain vinyl finish on the REL HT subwoofer is 99% identical to the line grain vinyl Focal uses on the sides of the Chora speakers :).
@@NemoPropaganda Haha, I don't believe I like glossy black as much as you do :P, my Chora is ivory in color. HT1003 was really high on my list but I prefer the look of SVS better. (aesthetic is as important), but I feel both HT1003 and KC62 has a slight edge over it now....Hmmmmm decision decision. BTW, would my size of listening area considered small in your reference for KC62? I love my Chora, I have own very few speakers for the past decade or so. My first pair is Focus Audio FS68, it sounds wonderful in the showroom but I never had the power to drive its to the potential. I then switched to B&O 5.1 (aesthetic aesthetic), but the sound gets "noisy" when too many action on screen. Then its my chora 816, which I like so much and I am more happy now using 2.0 and I am not looking back to 5.1/7.1. Oh, did I mention the fact that you are using 806 gives me much assurance? Thank you once again and... May the Forth be with you bro!
@@chickenceo And may the fourth be with as well brother! Ah if they're white then the white Micro or KC62 will match really nicely. If you are 80% movies either will be fantastic. I have just ordered a svs 3000 micro for a home demo , im hoping to place it in the corner of my room so its out of sight and away from children 😅 In order to do this one of the drivers would be facing the wall due to the opposing driver configuration, do you think this would work and sound ok?

From the amp? It radiates off the steel panel that wraps around the bottom but this is a cool running class D design, it doesn't generate very much heat. If you're referring to the voice coils the answer is the same and they are designed to handle the higher heat of a sealed design.
Love your channel Bro. Good honest reviews as always. Currently rocking dual SB 3000's in my setup. If he's got a small room the Micro will be great, it sounds just like an SB2000/3000 for the most part it just doesn't have the extension and SPL capability. But if he wants maximum bang for his buck the SB-2000 Pro def makes more sense.

The KC62 is double the price so for good reason it is much better than the Mirco. The Micro can however play louder. Also make sure you hear those wharfdales first, I have a pair here, not my favorite by a long shot. Top end is very beamy and they require extremely delicate setup. Lastly they do have a good amount of bass on their own, i would maybe listen to them without a sub first, some people may feel they are good enough without a sub.
Well said dean! I'm currently enjoying a rather larger Rythmik FVX12 and it's definitely not the SPL ability that has me smiling, it's the extension and sense of effortlessness.

Great video, was very curious about the sound and how it compared for small sound woofers. Out of curiosity for for home theatre use only how does the REL HT 1205 stack up to the SVS SB3000? Yes there is a price difference and after all your comments I would assume one of the two subs over a pair of the Micro's would be a better choice. Based on room I would have to run the pair wirelessly or the single larger sub wirelessly. Your thoughts are appreciated!
The SB-3000 is capable of a lot more output than the HT1205. The HT-1205 is more comparable to the SB-2000 Pro. The 1205 has a tighter sound and a little clearer bass note distinction. The SB-2000 will have a more aggressive attack and much higher SPL capability.
Yeah, I made a dedicated video for the topic so I felt it would be redundant, you can see the dedicated video here: ruclips.net/video/rEz03XkcslI/видео.html
Hi Nemo…I was surprised that you left out Rel in your comparisons? So for price and size how would two 3000 Micros compare to two Rel T/5x subs in your opinion in a small to medium room?
Hey Bob, I made a whole video on REL vs. SVS and talked about the whole SQ vs SPL subwoofer topic again in the REL T9X video. It's not a topic I like to rehash very often as it requires a lot of context and explaining. Essentially nobody should be cross shopping these two brands. What they offer is totally different from eachother. It's like cross shopping a sports car and a luxury car, it just doesn't make sense.
@@NemoPropaganda thanks for the reply man. @@zafert85 thank you bro, so here's the thing, the Micro is AWESOME! No doubt about that, for it's price it's really good, I voted it best "all around subwoofer" for 2021. The KC62 is more expensive and worthy of it's price so my advice is if you can afford the more expensive one and it sounds like you can, then you should do it. But if you cannot then the slightly more affordable Micro is still very good and pairs very well with the LS50 Meta but the KC62 is it's natural mate and worth every penny. It's like buying a car, Honda civic and Honda accord are both excellent cars, Accord is more expensive but it gives you more for the money. Either one you buy is good but if you can afford the Accord you will be really happy you got it.
"And if I can be patient guys so can you, because I'm filming a video so I wanna look cool and do it quickly...". Nemo, even if you were slow as molasses in the Yukon in the middle of winter you would still look (and be) cool doing these videos. :-)
I am selling it but the 50lb weight could be an issue, shoot me an email and I'll get you a shipping quote. Keep in mind I did drill some holes to test fit the JL but I sealed them up with foam tape.
Very informative review as usual. Keep it up bro, you are a big help to other enthusiast like me that don't have chance to test or audition those toys. I remember you have reviewed the Bowers & Wilkins ASW608, how do you compare it to that one? I know it is cheaper but I was amazed by that tiny sub as well when I heard it, I think you had a good review on that before. Is that Micro 3000 better in every category?
The ASW608 has very good bass note distinction and SQ, it's kind of like REL where you don't get a lot of power but you get really great SQ Instead. With the SVS you get more power and output but the SQ of the ASW608 is a bit better for sure.
@@NemoPropaganda I doubt she would be happy with the price tag of 2 micros! ;-) But 2 SB 1000 pro's also would be pushing it, looking at how little space we have here. Physically it would fit, but I seriously doubt she would like it. I also have a problem with taking away the bass from my big floorstanding speakers; they can sound a bit muddy sometimes and preferrably I would want to pass the signal through the subs, taking away the bass and let the speakers focus on the rest of the sound. But then I'd probably need a Kef KC62 or KF92. My amp can't filter that out. (Stereo)
@@MarcelNL if you have a preamp/poweramp combo you can get the Emotiva SE8, that has built in bass management but it's via the RCA signal so you need a separate power amp. If the KC62 is in your budget its a badass sub and incrediby good and while DSP isn't mystyle you could always get a miniDSP to highpass to your mains and get whatever sub you want. @@NemoPropaganda Thank you very much! :) I'm not really into Discord, but I could give it a try once I'm serious about making the step for buying a subwoofer / subwoofers. (First save some money for it! :-) )
Hi Nemo, too Many Subwoofers but what happened with bookshelf reviews? At least in My country we just have popular brands Subwoofers like polk, Paradigm, Dali and the like, these brands You are reviewing here are rare to find AND if You happen to find one it's so expensive that You better buy a hi end bookshelf or an incredible floorstander for that money
because speaker level inputs are a legacy connection (old fashion) and generally an inferior option. Most gear has line level output (LFE output or pre-out, or sub out) which is the superior connection method for subwoofers. Only super cheap amps lack this feature like Yamaha RS-202 so it makes good sense that only SVS cheapest sub has the cheaper connection option.
@@NemoPropaganda I do not agree. Many industry experts recommend using speaker level connections for connecting subs. Maybe you have separate preamp + poweramp system any do not have pre-out available. It is logical that with better/more expensive product buyer gets more flexibility, and more options, not less. This decision by SVS says to me they care much more about home-theatre than music lovers.
@@ivanbogdaue my bro, just because a bunch of people say something it doesn't make it true. Facts are not decided by consensus. Who are these industry experts? The industry experts I talk to are the actual engineers that design the subwoofer and in many cases entirely from the ground up, plate amplifier and all. This is not my opinion, this is a fact: High level is a legacy connection and line output is the better and more consistent method of connection. Now if you don't have line output and high level is your only option then use high level or if you buy a subwoofer that is specifically designed and engineered to use high level like REL then go for it, outside of that everyone should be using line outputs.
are you just repeating something you heard someone else say? All woofers will take damage when struck by blunt objects, aluminum, paper, poly, doesn't matter. Most people I see don't run grills.
I can only hope SVS releases a dual 10" version one day.
Awesome, thank you for sharing your experience.
yoooo!! Oh yeah, it's seriously jam packed with tech!! A huge win for anyone with a space constraint real or WAF created lol.
I love the humor. You go Nemo! Great no nonsense review. The way everybody should do them. Thanks
Great comparison. Please where could I find for example 75db on the svs app? This app only shows minus. Example -10
no way for me to know becuase every room is different. You would have to use a dB meter.
@@NemoPropaganda OK thank bro.
Really enjoy your reviews! Appreciate the comparisons to other subs near the price range as that's what most of us can't afford to do ourselves. Subbed!
welcome to the brotherhood of bass :D
Another great, no bull, review. Got to tell you how much I love my KC62. It's so small, it kinda disappears. But man, it can kick like a mule.
oh yeah, the KC62 is like a "how the hell is that possible" kind of product.
@@NemoPropaganda The price also give that kind of kick 🤭
How does the Rythmik F12, that you have, compare?
Hey Dean, the F12 is much larger so it's not a fair comparison but the F12 is undeniably better, if you can physically and alethically fit a larger sub (within reason) you always should. With these micro subs a good chunk of your money is going towards keeping things small while still having a good bottom end and decent SPL output for the size.
With it having dual drivers, do you feel like it bridges the gap between a single sub vs 2 sub system?
No it doesn't really work that way but in my experience subs with dual opposed drivers to seem to have a larger sense of scale.
Haha. 105-106 db is no joke. My dynamic swings rarely go above 97 and that’s when I’m pushing it hard for only a song or two.
So what do you think?
I did not hear any of them in real but I’m looking for this woofer or the Kef kc62 is there a big sounding difference?
I covered that in the video starting at 15:50
I’m willing to bet that dynamic power overhead in the amp helps a lot when it comes to svs subs doing svs sub things
Best things I've added so far are SVS subs.
I run dual SB-3000's up front and a single SB16-ULTRA in the rear of my living room home theater.
am using a 14 year old paradigm 12" Sub that still works great. Do Subs degrade over time?
yes they do! it varies based on materials used but the suspension (spider) can loosen up and the adhesive that holds the surround to the basket can break down over time, usually around the 20 year mark but storage conditions, usage, and material choices can have a big impact on that. The cone intself and surround can also breakdown or degrade with age, usually you can see this visually. If it looks good and still sounds good I wouldn't worry about it too much. Oh yeah, and of course the plate amp ages also but I don't know too much about that, IIRC the caps can lose value with age.
How does it compare to the sb2000 ?
Hi mate. You just made me go for the KC62 because I never listen above 70db... everything else is too loud for me too.
Here's the thing, l already have a graphic eq. Would purchasing this sub and phone app be overkill??
No I don't think so.
@@NemoPropaganda Thank you. Gonna purchase one soon
@@oluhamilton2121 woooo, enjoy!!!! :D
The real question is how do dual 3000 micros compared to a single sb3000?
Where it definitely sounds amazing, but that's kind of obvious given its size

Then again what you said is right, to mirror/ match my old sub, I 'm better off with 2x12" sb1000pro for a bigger soundstage. cheers
How are this sub compared to The arendal 1961 1s then?.
This is fantastic for how small it is but of course it cannot compete with a 12". Even SVS own 12" will be more powerful and with stronger bass.
Great review. Love the Shaft reference. I did not mind the ads... I am glad they promote the channel.
I absolutely love SVS an KEF pushing the envelope. But my money still going toward Rythmik for home theater or REL for music
You have 2 systems you lucky dog?
What's the Micro 3000 like with music? Can you hear a delay? Does it sound fast enough to you? Does it keep up with the other speakers?
@@adamswift1747 The Micro sounds incredible! Yes it is fast and keeps up with all my other speakers. Zero delay. The only downside is max volume. At times I wish I had more headroom but I'm maxed out. For 95% of my usage I never need more. I tell people who don't need the extreme small form factor, go with the SB2000. Same $900, same sound signature, more output/goes lower.
@@WWeiss-nv5vz thanks for feedback.
On the wall you see dekeru polysester panels from amazon while the side and rear walls have GIK Gobo panels.

eeeesh, that would be expensive. I think that Sub 1 was over $5000 at the time...
Hi bro, I am not aware of any MK2 version of the Micro 3000.
How does this compare to the T/5x?
they're super different, the 3000 micro is for the dude that wants maximum output from a tiny cube, its extension and output can't rival larger subs of course but its very respectable for the size where the T5X wont extend as low or play as loud it will instead have much better bass fidelity.

The SVS is the better value but if you can afford the KEF it's gonna play lower and arguably has a value of it's own in the right circumstances.
@@NemoPropaganda I should let you know soon! Thanks!
Trigger pulled...Bought HT1003 afterall. :)
Have heard JL Audio E110 subs?
I don't recall no.
I have just ordered a svs 3000 micro for a home demo , im hoping to place it in the corner of my room so its out of sight and away from children 😅
In order to do this one of the drivers would be facing the wall due to the opposing driver configuration, do you think this would work and sound ok?
should be fine, you can always turn it a little bit so both drivers are firing into the corners but It's so small I think you'll be fine :).
@@NemoPropaganda nice thats good to know, im using an integrated amplifier so wont be able to use bass management, whats settings would you suggest to go with my ls50 meta's? I want to use the app to its full potential but dont know where to start as there's so many different options to select 🤔

@@rynev3392 These Micro 3000 would fit the bill pretty damn well and you can make adjustments while you're in bed via the handy cell phone app so there is a ton of utility here. The baller choice would be a pair of KEF KC62 and my ultra budget choice would be the Emotiva SE8 though that won't extend as low as the other two, granted it's only $299!
I can't believe that you didn't do comparision with REL t5x and t7x. Why?
because I've said the same thing a million times and even made a dedicated video on the topic of how REL compares to SVS. I make content for people that follow the body of my work, not watch a single video.
@@NemoPropaganda Man, but you already have comparision with KEF62, why repeat the same in this video? What is benefit of this video I don't understand. Where does the heat go?
From the amp? It radiates off the steel panel that wraps around the bottom but this is a cool running class D design, it doesn't generate very much heat. If you're referring to the voice coils the answer is the same and they are designed to handle the higher heat of a sealed design.
Kef LS50 meta.... Would 2 SVS 3000 micro or 2 REL T7x's be better??

@@NemoPropaganda good video.
Hi! Great video - a comparison with the Rel T series subwoofer would be great since they are about the same size!
ehhh apples to oranges but I will do it in a future video.
Love your channel Bro. Good honest reviews as always. Currently rocking dual SB 3000's in my setup. My little brother is on the fence for the Micro, but I'm pushing him to move up to the SB 2000, 3000, or dual 1000. Sent him a link to your channel. He might listen if he hears it from someone else. Lol
If he's got a small room the Micro will be great, it sounds just like an SB2000/3000 for the most part it just doesn't have the extension and SPL capability. But if he wants maximum bang for his buck the SB-2000 Pro def makes more sense.
Congrats on the 5k subs. Now where's that giveaway?
Epic ending! 😂🤣 Thanks bro!
Respect for staying until the end, I appreciate that :D
In terms of speed, which do you think is the fastest between the following: SB-2000 Pro, 3000 Micro or SB-3000?
I don't feel there is an appreciable difference between the 3 with respect to transient response. They all have good transient response for their SPL capabilities and price points.
@@NemoPropaganda Always appreciate the feedback! SVS' lineup seems real solid, as if I can't go wrong in going dual subs with any of their models.
@@sleeper1023 yeah i mean they're popular for a good reason. Are they the best option for the discerning audiophile that sits in the middle of a perfect triangle? Probably not. Are they all around pretty darn good? Absolutely.

ahahaha, thank's man!
How did it compare too the tx5 bro
I felt the two were too different and wouldn't (shouldn't) be cross shopped. Mercedes Benz S560 and a Porsche 911 GTS, they're too different to make a meaningful comparison.
Great review, thanks! I'm trying to build a system, sold on Warefadale's 4.2 for 2 channel set up. Would 3000 Mini or Kef 62 be the better dual sub pairing??... Or get the floor standers, 4.3 or 4.4's? which would likely be best for sense of overall performance and bass?? My room is 11 x 15 x 8 high. I've narrowed my power down to 1 of 3 Marantz 8005, Cambridge audio CX81 or if I can swing it Techniques SU G700.
I'd be interested to know your opinion on system build and synergy??
Your feed back please. I know, all is subjective!
Appreciated!
Keep it up bro, the best reviewer on youtube, bar none.
I won’t consider audio equipment if it’s ugly to me too. I’m also a low volume listener. I would get big subs for extension, not SPL.
Well said dean! I'm currently enjoying a rather larger Rythmik FVX12 and it's definitely not the SPL ability that has me smiling, it's the extension and sense of effortlessness.
What about these vs rel t5x
ruclips.net/video/rEz03XkcslI/видео.html
I'm good with tones rel.has taken you over it's in your voice it's still a good review
I prefer Audi over Mercedes, not everyone does though :)

Does the Kef’s built in dsp get in the way of room correction software like Audyssey?
That's a better question for KEF or the dealer selling it as I don't use room correction software myself :)
Guess I'm taking the grills of mine.
Do it!!!!!!!! And do some nice close ups so the people can see :D you know I be keeping that camera static AF lol
@@NemoPropaganda Thank you so much for your insight!
No REL T5x comparison, as you reported you'd do in your T5x review.

Size it up SVS!
👍👍👍👍👍/👍👍👍👍👍,, everything.
oof, here in the netherlands, the 3000 micro is 1100 euros and the kc62 is 1430 atm....
Then for sure I would spend the extra and go for the KC62.
@@NemoPropaganda thanks for the reply man. I have KEF LSX bookshelf speakers on my desk and I like to have some proper bass in my small room (really small like 7 feet by 12 feet) I was thinking about the svs 3000 micro and the KC62 because I have room restraints. The price difference between those two is really not that big as in the US, so I am leaning towards the KC62. Do you think they will work perfectly fine with the KEF LSX? Will the sub ''overpower'' those LSX speakers? I am searching my ass off on all kinds of fora but I cant find anything
@@zafert85 I've only reviewed the LS50 meta and found that it was very easy with subwoofer pairing and seemed to pair well with every subwoofer I tried. If you can afford both go for the KC62, you won't be disappointed. For the extra money it gives you insanely good low frequency extension even at low volumes and I think you will really enjoy that. The micro is also good but I feel like the KEF/KEF match is just a no brainer here.
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks again for the reply buddy, fucking love your videos. Yea I like to listen to music just like you, at a low volume, or not earblasting volumes. I like to feel the music at those low volumes as well like at 80 db. If you say the KC62 is worth the extra 300 euros then I might get one. I saw a demo model of the 3000 micro for 975. I still dont think that makes the gap big enough to go for the 3000 micro over the kc62.
ps BMW's ARE drivers cars. Hell yeah
With it being $900, now you're talking 2 vs KF92. The KF92 would trounce dual 3000 micros I believe.

👍
Yup @ Wife acceptance factor.
I am in doubt to suggest one of these, or two SB 1000 Pro's to her.
Do you mean the reverse? 2x SB1000 are way better than a single or even dual Micros. If she'll let you do the dual 1000 pro do that for sure.
@@NemoPropaganda I doubt she would be happy with the price tag of 2 micros! ;-)
But 2 SB 1000 pro's also would be pushing it, looking at how little space we have here.
Will get back to speakers soon I promise :)
Why only cheapest SVS subs (1000) have speaker level inputs? Where is the logic?
because speaker level inputs are a legacy connection (old fashion) and generally an inferior option.
