2:37 What do you mean what happened? The crowd came for Mr Toot. They came for the traditional music, played on a traditional instrument. His greed was his downfall. When he got rid of his toot, and started playing "modern music" with his new "MIDI-toot" people got upset because that's not the type of music they came for. There is a hidden story in the song of not letting greed overshadow your roots that made you successful in the first place.
Nice to see someone actually commenting on the music:) You should check out "Old Friends" by Ylvis. It's a brilliant song, but most people don't get it
This is a music video made by Ylvis. Ylvis is a comedy duo consisting of Norwegian brothers Vegard and Bård. They had a live TV show where they showed music videos they made. The same guys who made What does the fox say? Their songs are about random stuff. Other songs from them are Pressure, Massachusetts, Trucker’s hitch, Someone like me, Youghurt.
That was definitely different. Actually had a catchy little chorus going on. I’m not quite sure what genre that would be considered but it probably doesn’t matter. No point in pigeon-holing poor Ylvis. Here’s one I think Dave will enjoy. He’s really liked everything he’s heard from Arjen Anthony Lucassen and this one is partnered with the great singer Robert Soeterboek. Great playing from the entire band and a nice bluesy track. Arjen is the thin guy playing the rhythm guitar. ruclips.net/video/2l0-yHau5QY/видео.htmlsi=RlNaj9iAtHrV1T94. Thanks again guys.
hahahah! "off Grid Mr. Toot" should be the follow up hit. This tune is the new hipper Makerena. Here's a real cool obscure prog band for Dave to try. The singer is Dennis Fredericksen who sung lead for Toto and did background vocals for survivor and was part of the Casablanca label. It's definitely a cool band, commercial sound who never got their due. Killer album cover too! This tune is Bright Night Lights ruclips.net/video/2_DEUrdWlLA/видео.html

Ylvis yeaaaaah one of the few comedy song makers I enjoy. "Old Friends" is the best Simon & Garfunkel parody ever if you're on the prowl for new tunes

It was better than the Olympic opening.

Funny 😂 not very good though but very original 😅
Back when we were kids there were new and fun novelty songs all the time. It's a lost art form I guess. I thought this one was very catchy!
@@samechick definitely catchy 🤙🏼
