A charger that doesn’t need to charge AND doesn’t need to aim? Finally, a charger for me! Jokes aside, I’m so happy that the game looks like a good rougelite. I’ve put so much time into Hades and especially Slay the Spire and I can’t wait to spend hundreds of hours on this. It seems to take inspiration from both at least a little bit, and I’m really excited to see the game pushed to its limits, like max Ascension/Heat runs, or fresh file runs.
So real about the charger XD If you like Slay the Spire I really recommend Wildfrost, its a rouge-like with cutesy characters. Its a harsh learning curve at the beginning but the way each game can play out differently is amazing!!! The coolest thing is probably charms, you can add them to cards and player cards to upgrade their abilities! :Dc
If side order become a favorite, I think you should check out risk of rain 2. It seems to take a LOT of inspiration in the "let the player be op" side of things.

I love the time based difficulty, choosing how much time to spend looting is such a clever way to juggle risk and reward. I was playing Railgunner and my friend found a 3D printer to increase boss damage AND I found a ton of crowbars. I was able to do 60% of Mithrix 2’s health in one charge attack. Speaking of Mithrix, he’s such a cool fight, punishing you for over relying on your pickups is something that I’ve never seen before in a rougelike. Also, my friend I was playing the game with taught me how to do Moon Skip with railgunner because I had the right load out for it and that felt so cool to hit. So yeah good game.
Words can’t explain how hyped I am for this dlc. Pearl and dj d3df1sh have FOREVER been my favorite splatoon musicians and seeing them BOTH be major characters is just amazing

I’ve never played a Roguelite before but from the looks of things, it looks like I will be throwing myself at a wall over and over and over again… AND I’M SO READY FOR IT! Next week is a break from class so I’m going to clear out everything up till Thursday so I get to play it all day long. I think the Frye palette might actually be Splatana since she mentioned she’s a Splatana main.

On christmas I brought vampire survivors and I found to be really fun. It kanda got me a little more excited for side order since they are in the same genre. The wait to next week is gonna be a painful long one.

Who else is in the elevator with Acht? At 2:23, Acht tells Eight and Pearl "Eight. Pearl. We'll keep the elevator warm for you." Who's we? Also is Marina really missing? The PRLZ menu where you get your permanent upgrades from the overview trailer uses the Marina logo and the confirm button says "Get Hacking!" and Marina is the only known character who can hack, so is Marina helping Eight and Pearl and is something different going on?
splatoon always seemed like a fantastic game but im not much of a multiplayer gamer, and also my internet connection isnt the best + i've heard about issues with the multiplayer server of the game, so i put the idea of purchasing it aside. with the base campaign + this roguelite dlc, would it be worth it just for the single player?
Yes. I would suggest playing splat1’s story mode as well if you can ever get the chance, it’s 10 hours and an extremely well put together solo experience. 2’s dlc also has ~40 hours of gameplay with 80 levels if you enjoy straight up platforming, and it’s a great singleplayer experience. If you have Nintendo online+ then you get the dlc for free, so just check the game out from the library!
I'd say so. There's a lot of content there. And while I don't know what your connection is like, the servers aren't really that bad. I play plenty of matches each week without issue. In fact, I haven't had much of an issue in a long time. Salmon Run may be even easier on your connection as that's less active playable characters for the game to track at once. If you like the Splatoon vibe, I say give it a go!
I'm someone who doesn't do multi-player. I say it's VERY worth it. Splatoon 3's single player story has been amazing for me in general, Splatoon 1 and 2 had their fun and amaze too. But 3 is the most fun, and there's TONS of levels, and there is difficulty to them. I highly recommend!
I unfortunately have to wait at least another week to play Side Order because I had to send my Switch in for repairs. I flipped out quite a few times during the DLC of Sonic Frontiers, then some Salmon Run attempts that went south very quickly were what finished the job.
It looks good. But honestly almost exactly like the tower mode in Returnal. Except it costs extra. Seems like this should have been the single player for Splatoon 3.
Three minutes in to this video and... I am SURE that I have no idea whether I want the DLC, AND I am sure I never want to watch this time wasting fool ever again.
