    Don't know if you reads these. I learned the major chords about 40 years ago! I decided I want to go back on stage NOT playing the drums (about 30 years) I made a commitment to be stage ready playing keys in 90 days. I can really smoke running through all the major blues scales. Learning simple licks is what I needed!

    I ordered this video course about a week ago. It's a lot of fun. I've been playing the backing tracks while noodling around the riffs. Sometimes I sound sort of bluesy. Sometimes I sound like I need a lot more practice. The lessons are easy to understand. My left hand is a little weak to play a whole lot of that stuff but it'll improve with some time. I'm going to join the PWJ after New Year. It looks like an incredible site. I'm just an old retired guy who wants to play the best I can. I'm sure Jonny will help me.

    Good info, but in 2016 we were past the point that the keyboard audio gets captured only by a camera mic....
    You need to set up a MIDI DAW system, and capture the mic Audio & Keyboard Audio or MIDI in it, and sync it with the footage...

    21:36 combining all riffs and 12 bar blues chord progression

  • @darrinsiberia
    @darrinsiberia 3 года назад

    my observation in improvising is you kind of ignore the V chord like you just riff away and ignore the V chord and as long as you're in the scale you don't really care if the melody and harmony matches until the final V chord that comes just before the rest back to the start of the 12 bars.
