I LOVE mine. I take old sheer curtains and clip them on so I can roll the sides up and get ventilation while keeping a good bit of bugs out. I use it on the side of a tiny camper.

Nice video 👍 I bought one a couple months ago for my teardrop. I am pleased with the shelter so far. Very easy to set up. I keep the sides rolled up when I break it down to help with set up. I did have trouble with the very top and what to clip to which support pole. Only con is Kelty’s customer support is in need of improvement. It took weeks to get a response on an email. I needed help, and the delay sent me a different direction and purchased that particular piece of gear thru another manufacturer.

Hi! Do you mean the two hooks at the top? What did they end up telling you to do? Thank you for watching!

@@CampMymyI never got help in the hooks, so I just hook where I find the best support.

This is a pretty cool product, and we just bought one two days ago. The evening after buying this product, we found that one of the pols' elastic chord had been broken at one end and the segments of one of the longer poles would not stay together. So, after some work, we were able to tie a small nylon chord to both ends of the broken elastic chord. We contacted Kelty and got a huge argument from them about replacing the pole under warranty. They gave us zero options until I threatened to review them negatively on the internet. They then told me to destroy the shelter (cut it up and break the poles) and send pictures that we destroyed it, and they would send a new one. IT WAS JUST THE POLE! Why destroy the whole thing? After contacting a customer service (CS) manager, the CS rep offered to replace just the pole, but asked for a proof of purchase (which we had already sent them) along with pictures of the damage. Unfortunately, we didn't take pictures of the damage before we tried our own repair. Now, the damage is hidden in the pole segment and we would have had to break it to get to the damage to take a picture. So, we'll just wait for it to break again. Not sure I would purchase another Kelty product after this CS experience.

Maybe because they're out-sourcing the actual manufacture of the product, and they don't have any spare parts laying around.

Wondering if you think you could leave this on a campsite while you drive away? Folding it down over some belongings and staking it down then reattaching to the vehicle on to your return?

Apologies, I wrote my comment before I watched whole video. You already answered my question about leaving it for the day! Thank you for your useful video xx

@@lindsayfraser9762 I think you could, I would just make sure the open area was tied down so the wind could not lift it if that makes sense.

I was afraid that you'd have to thread the supports through a channel. Genius to snap on!
