Dragon Ball Sparking Zero's DLC hype has already fully died down with the player counts returning to where they were before DLC 1 with Gohan Beast, Orange Piccolo, Gamma 1 & 2 And Cell Max which is a really rough spot for the game to be in as there is no way to save this declining player count in a fast enough time outside of a major content update or balance patch!

I Played Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and it's PEAK, the game is infinitely more fun to play than it is to watch and I can guaranteed it goes HARD even with the few playable characters available you can still have a raging blast!

@@Steedoj Dragon Sim ok, but mision 100 isn't necessary. If they tweak Custom Battle, it can be mission 100000, and instead of just battling a team of bots with conditions, you can even have cutscenes in there. What they really have to bring back is Survival mode

It's just boring now, man. When they announced character customization, i thought id be able to put a halo on any character. Or like a scouter on any characters. But we didnt even get alternate color schemes. Story mode was mid. Im a ranked grinder, but ngl, releasing the game with connection issues, broken cheese, and no rq penalties burned me out fast. Theres no incentive to reach z rank other than for your name on the leaderboard. Theres no rewards or season resets or anything. I bought every character in the shop on like day 2 because i bought the ultimate edition. I thought the dlc would revamp the game, but we got like 1 outfit and 3 custom battles with the characters. It was so bare bonesed, i just played for like an hour to try the new characters and havent picked it up since. I have like 200 hours in the game, but once i got bored of ranked, there was just no replayability. There's nothing to really grind for

If Sparking Zero just had mission 100 with special accessories for beating the mega hard ones like End of Z Goku Gi for DBS Goku in a mission where you need to beat all of Goku’s final forms (SSJ3, 4, Blue & UI) like bruh it’s so easy to make people just pick this game back up man 😭😭😭

I've platinumed the game and still love it. I just think content creators hate the game because BT3 was never designed to be a ranked game, (which is where they get most of their views from, live streams playing other players) and this game like it or not is designed based on that. Sparking Zero gives a wonderful definitive Dragon Ball experience while playing, it looks cool and feels fun to play. And while I may be a minority on this opinion, I would rather have the vast power level differences in characters in my Dragon Ball games than some throw away McGuffin like in games like Injustice where they have to come up with a reason why Superman doesn't just melt everyone else, which is part of the reason it makes having a competitive ranked option so unbalanced. I'm not saying my opinion is right by any means, it's just my opinion after all. I'm just Saiyan.

@unclejojo3702 Yeah, but I just used it as a chance to farm Zeni from wishes and Gold character profile badges so it worked out. Set the vs match up to World Tournament with no crowd vs Hercule on Easy and pick 5 people to farm badges. 1 knock up combo with a follow smash ends the match. Pretty easy farming

Sparking Zero is pure FUN! 🔥 The battles, the visuals, and the crazy matchups make every fight an absolute blast! Can’t wait to see more!
What you were describing is what happens with every fighting game though after the honeymoon period people who sucked at it will drop it. Those who were actually cooking will remain on.
If you ask me there's two reasons why people are hating this game and one of them is why people hate Xenoverse 2. The players absolutely suck massive donkey d***. When the game first came out we had players abusing androids, Broly and his instant spark, afterimage spammers..Then the patch happened and we thought okay finally the game is saved from the bullshit. Nope.. almost overnight the cheeser changed their strategy and started running characters with fast unlockable Ki attacks, Trunks, UI Goku, androids AGAIN. So we all had to deal with a completely new level of bullshit right after a patch that changed how you have to play the game. People who want to play casually can't enjoy the game because of stuff like that and I honestly don't blame them.
Second is the lack of game modes. The only thing we had at launch was story mode, custom battles, online matches and a tournament mode. They added the Broly raid but that's a limited time thing. What happened to the Battle 100 mode where you test your abilities against the AI in brawl facing every character in the game with it getting harder the higher you progressed? Or maybe a new game unique to this game and a first time for the series?
It really feels like they announced the game seen that the hype was overwhelming and knew that they could release a blank screen that simply said, "Fuck you thanks for the money." in the middle and still turn a profit. I think the game is amazing and a lot of fun I love the combat. I'm a person who unironically loves playing giants. I've been enjoying Cell Max and Giant Piccolo since the DLC dropped. But I can see where the casual fan who just used to play the story mode and fight the CPU back on the PS2 would be instantly turned off by this game.
One of the few comments I swear keeping it real, and looking at this as a product as well. Cause that’s what it is a product, one that’s lesser in quality per se than its predecessors. No customization, stage destruction, I have to manually change the track for each stage. I mean yeah I like the option but why don’t stages have a dedicated song so I don’t have to change it constantly? Or set up so certain songs play on certain stages? Beam clashes and ultimates always change my position from where it was. These little details take me out the experience so much. I can go on too I already made a long ass comment. That I know people are gonna argue with me about lol. I just want a quality db product for this day and age.
Its great and I will continue to play it. Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was 1 on of the first games I ever played and I loved it. The current version of Sparking Zero compared with Launch version is soo much better and devs are listening and adressing all the bs strats. I really like the game
Fans who swore “the only real DBZ game is a roster big as tenkaichi 3” and ignored every DB game until this one have finally realized that’s doesn’t automatically make a great game. Game modes, art style, stages, story mode, mechanics, options, and balance matters.
Not all of that matters the people playing the game are just incapable of having fun if they don't win. Oh no my enemy is using *insert after image variation* , and now they're using max power!
People liked BT3 Because it's dragon ball, it's like the anime up to a point, because of the content, and because playing with friends, WHO USED CHEAP TACTICTS TOO, was fun.
Now it's reduced to just winning or gtfo and it sucks because most people only want to win.
There is literally nothing to gain from winning and people STILL frothe at the mouth if they get hit by a combo that ends with an ultimate.
More offline is good, but the problem is the damn players not the game. The game is almost perfect as it is, and it's only getting better with each patch even if sometimes they make mistakes along the way. They nerfed perception but people are still crying they won't fix EVERYTHING AT ONCE.
The game has a big roster with zero variation. All these characters and no one to use. Bt3 still has more character variation. Sparking zero just has 15 gokus it’s not the same.

Same here. I want a DB game that will get me off XV2. I’ve been on it since day one and am to this day finding out something new and interesting about the skills, characters, or even the super souls. I have yet to see that from ANY other DBZ game.
My biggest issue is how they did not add team battle to quick match, and when you room search half of the people are afk, I feel like if the person who made the lobby is afk for a while, he should get automatically get kicked out.

To sound like a broken record, i just wanna gang up on cpus with my friends. Xenoverse is cursed above and beyond but still had fun with co-op PvE n stuff. Sparking having all these options to do like unlimited custom raid fights is such a perfect idea that it's weird when you can't party up for it

i really don’t understand the hate anymore, the new updates have made this game SO MUCH BETTER, the gameplay loop to me is great the just need a little more content in the maps and stuff and some easy hot fixes with the tracking and it’s literally perfect
i think the reason some people love to hate on the game is because they massively overestimate how much they actually like 3d anime fighters so playing this game is unsatisfactory to them and they don’t really understand why

I still love this game and greatly respect how much work the devs put into it. They just need to patch some things and add some game modes
The opinions online are harsh about Sparking Zero because of the awful content creators. From day one it’s been you wonderful content creators showing off as much cheese and exploits as you can. And even when you get an entirely reasonable match you’ll still be complaining the entire time.
The clip bait titles some of these content creators are using isn’t helping either. I get they’re being sarcastic but I feel it still somewhat supports the hate
xv2 has been supported for many years, this game has the structure to becoming more in the future, just look at the graphics and the gameplay is constantly improving, watch this game a year from now.
A Dragon Ball game without epic destruction animations seen from space is not Dragon Ball. Huge miss from the devs. Would have been awesome to have those kind of animations in this UE5 game.
I love sparking zero. If only they have missions (level missions - gets harder on every level) with rewards like (accessories, items, stages, new sparking episodes, etc)

0:50 Say what you will, but FighterZ characters should be far more technically different from one another than Sparking Zero ones are. This isn’t hate on the game or anything like that, but they’re just designed differently, so that comparison is not equivalent. The Xenoverse one is, perhaps, a lot more fair (in that regard) in terms of character quantity. (Ik this is a small detail in the video, but it just caught my attention as a strange equivalence. Someone who actually actively hates the game may use that against you.)

BT3 is my favorite game EVER. It has so much replay value, even with single player, with its game modes; Sim Dragon, Mission 100, World Tournament, Story Mode, and Red Potara/Duel Mode.
Compare that to Sparking Zero's game modes; Story Mode, Custom Battles, World Tournament, Online/Offline Player Battles and Bonus Battles.
Technically there's the same amount of modes, but Bonus Battles are a joke to me. They are Bandai-made Custom Battles.
Tournament Mode is amazing in Sparking Zero and is better than the ones in BT3 since you can make custom rules.
Mission 100 was awesome and fairly challenging in BT3, I remember grinding for Z ranks in every mission while working to 100% the game (in my own terms). It was great!
Sparking Zero is lacking the one thing that BT3 was lacking and that's a staple in this generation of online gaming: Interesting/Unique online game modes. They have examples of this with (arguably) the biggest DBZ content creators in the Three Idiots and they did this in Fighters already: Co-op! Give us multiplayer raids!
Not to mention customization for characters. BT3 didn't have much, but Auras and secondary colors for every character was a big deal to me. Sparking Zero doesn't have any of that. You get one outfit for 90% of the cast while every Goku and Vegeta has 4-6 different outfits. In need to look back at some of the teasers and announcements, but I remember them talking about customization options being plentiful.
It just feels like we lost a lot of the things that made BT3 a great game and made a game that feels repetitive, competitively focused, and entirely different from the Budokai Tenkaichi Series.

as a mid player myself who is not god tier doing super counters, sparking zero has become a game where whoever gives backshots the entire time wins or your ui spaming unblockable ki blast to zone you. not as much fun anymore but its still *the* best looking dragon ball game ever. i look back at xv2 ultimates and it just makes me cry like "wtf is this" you can tell their animation for ultimates some of them are cut off

I barely started xenoverse 2 this year bc I love old dragon ball games, sparking zero is perfect for when I want to feel the super vibes but I play raging blast 2 & old dragon ball games for the old feel since it’s an old anime.
Sparking feels a lot like super & built like the manga (character wise) and that’s a good thing, since a lot of characters forms are from super. For some reason it reminds me of toyotaro style but that’s just me.
I've played the game since early access and had issues with it from day one being a bt3 player since wii all the way to playing bt4 mod online until the release of sparking or even the announcement of sparking
and I like the gameplay now as long as you know how to play the game it feels great
Stun skills need to be faster
hyper armor needs to be removed (Characters like broly getting extra super armor during sparking or Bardock having an easy instant spark with super armor both are op and stupid)
skill bars still need to be slower is teleport battles
unblockable rush moves need a nerf if they're in the game they cannot be as fast as everything else but you can't block
stun on characters getting hit needs to be increased because there should be no universe where I mixed my opponents block up while hitting them from the front and they can still block after getting punished (basically combos from the front should be possible if you earn them from mix up instead of 50/50)
and they need to fix this online system because most people leave this game because they cannot play it online, yes there were people who defend this game to all hell and people who tolerated it till it was better but everyone almost has had a horrible time with the online system and can't play so that should be a priority
with those fixes and good advertisement I can not only promise this game will be at the top again on all platforms but it will also finally be seen as a proper budokai tenkaichi game

The game is fun but it lacks levels and some good game mods. We also need more singleplayer content.
This game is amazing when you forget that it was touted that is an outright sequel to BT3. When you recognize that it just becomes "alright". If you finished all that you can single-player wise, the only thing you can actually do is play custom battles, or play online. (Not counting the Legendary Warrior mode til we're out of the testing phase, but that's still just 3 things we can do.) Lack of modes in the game, plus the lack of customization and stages hurt this game a good bit for me, especially now that we're done with 1 DLC.
I barely play online, offline is more then enough for my daily SZ craving. But yeah, i understand the hate.
i still honestly really enjoy playing sparking zero, it has a lot of issues it needs to sort out but it still can be fun and is a game that had a lot of effort put into it

They had blueprints from older games that work but instead of using those formulas they gotta push *amazing graphics* with a slue of limitations... Beam Clashes for example, what is this fix position cutscenes? Older games made it feel natural.
All the braindead complaint’s towards Sparking Zero is a reason why I hate most anime communities. I swear, there are just so many no life, no friends having whiners in the anime community that complain about EVERYTHING. These people are just NEVER happy, like it just takes one thing to have one person mindlessly flaming the game. I know Sparking Zero isn’t perfect, but this game isn’t even half a year old since release, it has plenty of time to improve, add new stages and customization, and release minor patch changes. The game is great just needs more customization options and stages. Maybe some game modes? But the game itself is good.
All we need are customization options, WAY more of them (Colour changing, more accessories usable on all characters etc), new stages, possibly returning characters (Like Pikkon and Super 17) and BAM... lotta fixes.
The character interactions and animations are amazing, but PVP alone won't carry this game. Adding DLC/Movies characters to the Episodes mode would keep the story going.
(And maybe give Vegeta story past the Buu arc since he did have important fights. Still don't understand why they ended it there)
Love the game but I do have one big issue with it and it’s that there isn’t really a single consistent defensive mechanic that cannot be bypassed pretty easily and it’s kind of frustrating because it feels like there’s literally nothing you can do.

@ The thing is though I would generally agree that they needed to be tweaked a little bit simply because they were a little too free. But they didn’t need to change the mechanics themselves as much as adjust the amount of resources used in order to use them. Because I would be fine if they didn’t change the defensive mechanics and made it cost Ki or more Ki so that way there’s not too much back and forth but when you’re fighting someone who just sits there and spams the whole time and you can’t punish them for it it becomes a little bit ridiculous and just overall not fun. (Looking at you UI Goku users). Skill in the game need to be easier to defend against if nothing else simply because it would disincentivize people to just spam their skill the whole time. If they’re easier to defend against then it will make people think twice before they just spam moves and run away the whole game and I don’t think that’s unreasonable either

The bandwagon of hate this game gets has people climbing on hate trains just because “my favourite RUclipsr said it’s bad so it must be.” Most of these RUclipsrs haven’t ever played budokai tenkaichi. These guys grew up on xenoverse and other trash games. The thing is now everything is nerfed. I can hardly use super counters, the vanishes are impossible(atleast online due to the lag), perception was fine but now I find myself not even using it just because they made it so clunky and slow and bad just because some restarted RUclipsrs said “everything too op nerf everything.”
Bro people just ruining the game at this point. As they say “too many cooks spoil the broth.” Bandai is trying to please everyone and everybody but in turn is pleasing nobody. They need to accept the guys who criticised the game? They are gone now ain’t coming back. If they nerfing everything for those guys? It’s spoiling the game for us who are still here to support it and shower it with love. Once we leave the game will actually be ‘dead’

I think if this game has customization like Xenoverse did with custom partners that would be a huge plus. There's only a few characters that get outfits but it would just be really cool to color the outfits of characters we really like in the series.
Including all of the single player content in the previous games along with new things would also be nice.
As for online, I can't really say. Maybe it just isn't for me because i get feelings of stress and anxiety whenever I play rather than enjoyment and relaxation.
Like the game…but most of the sales were nostalgia driven 😂
I think the game needs more offline content and also more storymode for Vegeta and such. Gameplay is the best out of any dragonball game by far.

idk man, im happy with sparking Zero , i still play daily , tournaments' still fill up in reasonable time , play my ranked fights an still run 1v1s with the people in discord , like sure wish we had more maps + outfit/character customization but still having fun playing, and i do believe they will drop more maps and like any other dragon ball game im sure there will be many more DLC packs , not just the 3 confirmed at launch ,

Missed where I said I still run ranked and tournaments. And ranked you can’t do invites / private . And when I said tournaments fill up in reasonable time that implies I wait for the lobbies to fill up. 🤡
I think two things can be true. The game is fun and imo has some beautiful graphics and details but ironically it has so much potential to be so much better. I think fans were just rightfully excited to get potentially the best game of the series, just based off the bar that was set from the older games.
I sometimes feel like some people look to deep into sparking zero it ain’t a perfect game but I’m looking at it like a part 1 with 2 more to come man I really don’t want the RUclips community to stop them from making a 2nd and 3rd game if we get one but damn
I feel like they really dropped the ball with customization, there are some cool outfits and all that but there are some really obvious outfits that are missing. Bardock doesn’t even have a battle damaged outfit, no second coming Broly, no Buu saga Krillin, no Buu saga Tien, super Vegeta with the black tank top, no pink Badman shirt for Vegeta. There are a lot of balance issues, but even from a single player standpoint there’s barely anything cool to earn for different characters that bring a visual or moveset change let alone even an alternate color for characters that don’t have any alternate outfits. I feel like that’s one of the reasons you don’t see many other characters, people only pick the good ones or characters that actually have different outfits
They should just drop the whole character-outfit change moveset thing and opt for just being able to set our own movesets to the characters. I'm longing for the day where I can use death saucers with Perfect form Cell like he did in the anime.
Yeah, no stage destruction, no ‘boom’ smash sound effects, no “white flashes” when a beam detonates. It’s just, the screen shaking (kind of) and some blue “puff” clouds when a THIN, kamehameha blasts hits. Can’t even destroy your character. NO STORY MODE - JUST A COLLECTION OF DISJOINTED CUSTOM BATTLES when you really think about it.
I jump on SZ every time I play even if i don't play everyday.
I see a *lot* of complaining about how toxic the online scene is, and I'm not the least bit shocked. It's been toxic going all the way back to freakin Burst Limit. The amount of times I got insta-screwed by Android 18's Accel Dance (which had an infinite loop you could do really easily) was absolutely ridiculous.
If there's *any* advantage to be found, people are gonna exploit the hell out of it until it gets nerfed (which affects everybody else even if they're strictly solo players). Which is exactly why online play can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned.
Sparking Zero's a great game and I will die on that hill. I fail to see why people turn on the game especially since I have a blast with it. I hardly care about the online and care more for the offline stuff including Custom Battles.
Biggest problem, at least for me, has got to be the toxic playerbase. I jump in a match ready for a fair and fun game, doesn't matter if I win or lose. Then my opponent 9 times out of 10 is always like "HAHAHAHAHA 15TH RUSH ATTACK IN A ROW SCREW YOU GIT GUD B*TCH!"
So you can't even have a fun match over half of the time.
In terms of the ACTUAL gameplay…. It’s amazing. When you’re throwing down with someone who’s really fighting and not just mashing one attack it’s fantastic. I agree it’s missing some stuff like characters and MAPS and the story option is weird asf. But again strictly gameplay it’s great
I think the game is the best that it has ever been, and my matches in DP battle have felt the most fair that it's ever been. I think what really killed the games player base was ofc the exploits and over powered cheese, but mainly the rage quitting issue taking months to fix. But after this last patch on the 20th, I've been having so much fun, and I've gotten way better mechanically. I think a lot of people just aren't sweaty enough to get good at all of the game mechanics, so they write it off as cheesy because they keep getting hit with the same things over and over and never learn. I legit had a guy raging at me in a casual match for taking his back every engagement and was basically calling me bad for having to take his back all the time. He didn't know how to vanish heavies or effectively side step😂 I just wish I bought it for pc instead of xbox tho, it takes forever to find a casual match to warm up for ranked.

Sparking zero youtuber cycle: plays ranked in high ranks runs into tryhards using the best characters, complains about tryhards in ranked using the best characters ohhh gee I wonder why are they in ranked like tryhards in ranked suprised pikachu face man, slanders game rinse repeat then demand all characters to have same stats for some reason because you get your a$$ beat because you are i******tent which would ruin the game (Guy whose name starts with dotodoya).
Game needs better way of finding good custom battles and way more singleplayer content they lack in singleplayer content with more customization options some moves included both could be fixed with updates and dlc.
I mean Xenoverse's RPG elements made it insanely replayable with stuff to grind for, which added something other than online battles. not saying XV2 is definitively good or even better, but it had so much to do, especially when it was bumpin at launch
Yeah I started playing it this year and I’m surprised I ignored it this long, I mean it’s totally understandable why (considering it’s graphics lol) but as I got older I started realizing I like games that have longevity in offline content. Which is why I play it now.

I don't hate the game at all The only thing I would like them to add in the game is more stages & a 2v2 mode or some co op modes
The problem is that this is the kind of game you enjoy playing with your friends (a chill and fun experience), but fighting games nowadays need to have a competitive multiplayer with a rank system, so people are going to try hard , cheese, and all that kind of stuff that can make you climb the ladder easier and faster (not so chill and fun experience). I feel like Sparking Zero is trying to be both a "competitive skill expression game" and at the same time a "casual play with friends game." Achieving that is too difficult, and the game is kind of failing in both areas . In any case, it is definitely a better game than Xenoverse 2.
im still playing it but like not everyday...its a nice game for in between but nothing that i can play for multiple hours in a session. The insta sparking, wild sense, afterimage spam is just not enjoyable for me, also the community is just the bottom of soceity.
The game is really fun, and visually it’s very nice but there’s a severe lack of customization. Wish this game had Xenoverse 2 levels of customization tbh :/
Dude as someone who paid 120 to get the ultimate edition when it was sold out, the game felt like an ultimate scam. Compared to BT3 on the Wii...Sparking Zero has literally Zero on BT3 besides graphics and controls. Yet input registration lag and failure ruins the feeling of the controls completely. In the end my copy went to the gamestop preowned section. I broke a controller because the input registration failure. Hopefully this game makes a 180 but I don't have much hope. Maybe when its cheap enough I'll buy it again but until then. See yall in Sparking Zero 2.

It’s not about it being “ok” to hate Sparking Zero. Hating video games is like the most popular thing on the internet. Everybody wants to be with the “in” crowd, so they jump on the hate wagon. Sparking Zero is a good game, the community is trash. People CHOOSE to make videos promoting cheese and play with cheese all the time. And then complain about the game being cheesy. This community is trash, not the game.
We just need more stages. I looooooooved the previous Sparking games in my late teens early 20's and I adore this new entry! 💥
I love the game that being said I don't think the DLC is good, it's a letdown, but sparking zero as a whole is fun, all those that left I bet you they didn't know what they were buying before they bought it, regardless of how much information was shared about what the game was going to be people were still surprised to see that the game wasn't balanced and some characters were stronger than other by a mile and the game wasn't ranked based and focused on playing with your friends. I'm not gonna sit here and lie though and say the game is perfect because there is alot missing like stages, stage destruction and the story was not enough for me especially vegeta's and the missing og dragon ball characters but I still love the game
Ive never seen a more infuriating community of anime fighing game. The amount of high-quality animation IN GAME literally WHILE FIGHING and fun mechanics is insane but the people would say budokai tenkaichi is better with 30+ of the same animation copy pasted. I actually have never seen a more ignorant community, and I play guilty gear strive.
People don’t hate the game….they hate the battle system it came with, the crazy amount of counters you can do and the accidental spending skill points while fighting when you’re trying to save them. People get frustrated as hell
This game would have been so much better without perception. Revenge counters can be countered at least.
I also hate the fact that I cannot guard break you if you and I are guarding in the same direction seeing as the person guarding has enough time to change their guard before the attack hits.
Movement, just basic movement around it's just way too slow it feels like I'm back in Tenkaichi 1

Cheese players are gonna be everywhere but I know what you mean. This game just needs more customization for both costumes and super and ultimates. And also more stages since it felt like I played every stage in online with only 12 stages unlike BT3 having like 20 stages.

In BT3 each character had AT LEAST 2 colors (some had more)
Sparking Zero has a ton of customization slots an nothing to put there...
But what really let me down was the item customization...
The items are much, much weaker than in BT3. You spent 3 slots to increase blast/ultimate skill damage by 15%...if you did that in BT3 you would get 36%. There is a total of 1 defense increase items in SZ. The stage focused items are basically useless...
I was that kid that would spent hours customizing my character's items and then had a lot of content to fight to test those items on (Mission 100 was my favorite).
In sparking zero it's just sad...
What we're suffering from is "Little Bro Syndrome." You got a bunch of people who get beat and rage out, so they pick the strongest and bugged out characters. Then they dont touch grass and try to act like they're actually good.

The problem with sparking zero is how people play the game and that is why it died so quick. The first 10days or so from the 3day early access was some of the most fun ive had on a game in awhile. Unfortunately people became meta slaves starting with the yajirobe BS, and went down hill from there
I would love to see king kais planet as a map, i thonk it'd be awesome! The sphere constantly rotating as you fly through and duke it out on the map.

It just reeks of greed and I was so hyped!! 60 dollars for a game that has barely any single player content, didn’t even want local play originally which shows their priorities. Which was online exclusively, playing online feels like I’m playing in jello. Button inputs and combos stay messing up or dropping. Here come the get good ass people 😂 I’m alright but I don’t care to be the best. Like no one ever was relax you Ash ass people. It’s just a game but also a product. Has all these characters but no incentive to use them in any way. Like we got both Brolys but no Broly story arc or battles to do for either of them? No challenge tower mode or arcade ladder of some kind? Only 1 dragon ball character unless we counting Yajirobe? Finally got a game where I got SS2 Cabba, but no SS1 Caulifla or Universe 6 Namekians?? The only game in the tenkaichi series where Cell can’t transform into Super Perfect Cell. Cause they wanna be source accurate like whatever yo.
No one else annoyed how I have to change the track song every time i pick a stage? Cause no stage just has a dedicated track like the old games. I have to change the track or else I’ll just hear the same fucking song every battle. Like who designed this? Why is it 15 dollars for TWO anime music packs totaling 30 bucks for some music?? 15 dollars to fight to Cha-La-Head-Cha-La??? Half the skins in this are just battle damaged versions, can’t even change super or ultimate attacks. Can’t even change auras!
New DLC characters come out with no story mode, cutscenes, customization, NOTHING just the characters as they are. How is that even worth 20 dollars? Just looking at the PS5 store shows how money hungry they are. You can spend REAL LIFE money on characters that are in the game, when you can buy them with in game currency! You can buy Broly and Gogeta for 4 dollars if you’re that fucking lazy!! To just play the game for like an hour 🤦🏿♂️ you can buy Future Gohan and Bardock for a Dollar!! What?!? Ten dollars for a power pole move with super Goku?!? Like I don’t even play Xenoverse 2 anymore like that but even that game gave you more bang for your buck. For as much as I love this game I can’t ignore the flaws. The greed of game companies will be the downfall, and the consumers who just buy anything. I’m upset cause I really love this series. Plus it’s 2025 I expect better.

Not only here in the West, but throughout the East as well, we have to ask Spike chunsoft DIRECTLY and SPECIFICALLY to MAKE the updates that we, who are passionate about the series, deserve, I have friends in mainland China and there, they are angry with Spike chunsoft too about , gameplay, character visuals, etc. we have to make NOISE, get in the door with both feet and say go to work, all of you. Jun furutani kept bragging in the announcement videos that he was a real fan of the series, and where he is now, he disappeared. I know that the West is weak in terms of noise for these big companies, even in the United States, let's make noise so that what is needed changes and improves what is necessary.
even without the cheese sparking zero is just a very frustrating game to play the controls, movement and handeling feel unresponsive and clunkey to the point that only 2/3rds of my inputs are properly read (mostly sidesteps) and the moment to moment gameplay infuriating
Bro, sales does not equal success of the game. Sales is success of the marketing team. Game success is player retention. If the game was good, people would continue to play. It got sales because people were hype and excited for a new BT4. What we got is a barely functioning, buggy, UI goku/SSJ4 gogeta simulator. HP bug in DP battles and vanishing assault bug still in the game for over 2 months. Every patch they try to fix things they break something else. Tracking in this new patch is so a$$ that the vanish spam and side step 20-30 times per engagement when throwing hands is the new meta. Verticality in this game is complete trash and shouldn't have been released like this. If someone is under or above you, the game has a complete meltdown and things don't function correctly. Elevatoring.. spamming up and down over and over when someone goes sparking is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a game, why have solar flare if you can just go up and down if you need to stall for time? Useless abilities (ki blast barrage supers) and a lot of the buff moves are dogwater. Every single engagement ends up into a vanish war and it gets SO BORING SO FAST because super counter is free of cost and easy to time. I've got a 72% win rate and I can't stand playing for more than 45 minutes because it's just fighting the same 3 characters over and over and over doing the same formula over and over.
Additionally so many characters are so bad there's no reason to pick them. They put no thought process into the DP costs of characters (why pick turles or king cold with 4dp remaining when you can pick SH gohan, or even trunks? Why pick future gohan or SSJ goten with 5dp when you can pick Broly, Goku Black, or any 5dp character that can transform up? It's not a drawback to have to transform when you get skill points at such an insane rate. They have no niche for their low dp characters so they are just plain WORSE in every single way to other characters with the same DP cost that can transform. There's absolutely no reason to ever pick Piccolo fused with kami now that SH piccolo is the same DP with many more examples of being at a complete disadvantage by a massive margin for picking a character you like.. etc etc).
95% of the entire character roster has ZERO, NOT ONE skin or outfit... not even a recolor. No new stages. They have 10 accessory slots, and no accessories!!! WTF? It's going to keep bleeding players until it's a barren wasteland. But hey, they got a bunch of sales on release and got their bag, so why would they spend time and resources fixing the game that came out of the oven a year early if people already bought it? They gotta pump out 5 character 1 costume DLCs until theres 50 people left playing it. The game is complete buns dude, there's no denying it. Anyone saying this game is good, is coping. Period. The game looks pretty, that's all it has.

The customization is so peak with the aura changes & scouter removal and stuff, like how you can literally modify them to as if you’re fighting a really really good player. You can make broly act like he’s on 10 percs and 5 steroids 😭🤣

It’s a lack of dramatic scenes during the gameplay. It’s lackluster. See Ultimate Tenkaichi’s Father Son Kamehameha. That’s the standard. See Kakarot’s story mode: that’s the standard.
Xenoverse 2 is the most sold dragonball game in history. If they would have anounced a zenoverse 3 instead of sparking zero, it would have far outclassed sparking zero in every way. So many creators made their channels off xenoverse 2 that is how insane xenoverse 2 is. Sparking zero and no other dragonball game has come close outside of the mobile games like dokkan or Legends.

Nah my guy, maybe inside the DB community it would have had a chance to be like that. But mainstream? Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking Zero holds all the cards man. Give Sparking Zero a few years (should it have a decent game support and dlc in that time), and it'll get over the 10 million copies that Xenoverse 2 has sold in much less time. Remember, 3 million copies on the first DAY.
Not to say that the state of the game isn't disappointing right now, but that may change with a mere free update. Guess we'll see.

After an hour of playing the game bro im burnt i was making a vid for gama 1&2 and people were sweating in player matches of all places 😂 not only that it took me a while to find some matches on both the rank side and the player match side mind you im on playstation. I had faster and more enjoyable time when i switched to the xbox side funny enough
They really need to fix broken characters. UI goku, Gogeta, Beast gohan are just terrible. They are ruining so much the experience and it' s a shame beacuse sparking zero is an amazing game. It's just too easy to play in a toxic way and exploit broken mechanics
I love the game I just feel like it needs to be tuned a little bit. Ie. more customization, some more story mode would be nice, and gameplay just needs to fix hitboxs and make ki blasts cost more

The game is good, but it feels rushed. Quick example: Vegeta has no dbs story, u6 tournament and dbs broly stories don't exist anywhere despite characters from there being in the game.
