- SpaceX launches Falcon 9 B1058 (Flight #8) from LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA on Sat May 15, 2021 at 22:56 UTC.
This mission is Starlink V1 Launch 26, which carried a batch of 52 Starlink satellites for their high-speed low earth orbit internet constellation, as well as two other satellites on rideshare: Tyvak-0130 and Capella (Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite).
The Falcon 9 first stage landed at T+0:08:33 on the autonomous droneship Of Course I Still Love You

Landing too much stable

If there is NO oxygen in space how come they use thrusters to slow the ship down. How does a flame even burn in space? 🇺🇸
A rocket doesn't need oxygen from the environment. Rockets carry a tank with oxidizer, liquid oxigen. Falcon 9's second stage and first stage has a LOX tank (Liquid oxygen tank), and a fuel tank (RP-1/rocket grade kerosene). That mixture of oxidizer (liquid oxygen) and RP-1 is what creates the flame, but it doesn't need anything from its environment. I hope that responds your questions.

i love watching the lift off's because of the massive amount of power needed to get up to space.
BUT the landings are just BRILLIANT, the tec that has gone into making the landings poaaible.

Why in old take offs they start the ignition before the countdown finished?
If you mean space shuttle then those engines needs some sort of way too ignite in the ss case its using a spark igniter on the launch pad wich is why it ignites a few seconds before launch. Unlike falcon 9 where it takes near instant ignition.
Rocket engines never light at full throttle incase something goes wrong, if there’s a lot of fuel in the engine it’ll go bang and destroy the rocket so they ignite it at as low a throttle as possible. They always light a bit sooner in the count so they can check engine pressure and temperature before throttling up to launch
The countdown does not go to zero at the time the engines are started, it goes to zero (ideally) at the moment the engingies go to full throttle and the hold-down clamps are released.
I am always amazed at the force it takes to escape earth's gravity. 1,000s of pounds of thrust...no wonder we shrink in height as we age..a miracle we grow at all!
Yes I agree the incredible odds against life taking hold anywhere are so stacked against it happening it leaves me to the conclusion that there has to be an intelligent designer of some sort’s. But of course there’s always someone who has rational arguments against this type of creation. I don’t know the answers but there’s always people claiming they do. Will the continuous qwest to learn the truth ever conclude?
I so hope they don’t rush the Heavy Starship rig into orbit. If that goes bang on the pad the fallout (literally) will put SpaceX in serious trouble.
