That indeed works. Only issue I've come across is sometimes items randomly disappear, or an old lady that walks by and gives it back to you. Hiding in the little cubby to the right of the gate solves the latter issue.
The fire and frost breath shouts actually hit quite hard and are capable of one shotting enemies like draugr. Being level 1, spamming these would be really powerful
No teleporting needed for duplication btw. You can just step outside then step back in immediately done. Also once you get to dropping larger amounts on the floor just get your follower to pick them up and leave and reenter, get follower to pick them back up again. Rise and repeat. This will save a bit of time for your future videos.

You know, I'm starting to think Skyrim might NOT be all that balanced. It clearly has NO exploits however, these are traditional game features for the savvy minded.
@@jordonkautz1470 A "fixed" Skyrim is a bland one-off like nearly every other game out there. Keep my Skyrim open source and inexplicably moddable Todd, thanks.
Skyrim is better than balanced. It's infinitely replayable. Something that no balanced game can claim. I'm rather sick of people acting like it's some horrible pos, when no game since has matched it. 2 console generations later, and it still can't be beat.
Take that tea and just flush it down the toilet. Grab an espresso instead. It actually has a nice taste instead of just putting random leaf's into some water.
I tried a run of never leveling just to see how far I could get until the quests force me to level up, and honestly you can basically play the entire game and it's DLC's without ever leveling up! What helps is the fact that all the skills passively get stronger the higher they get, so for example while you would never be able to make any good armor or weapons, with the help of a high enough Blacksmithing level, enchanted items and alchemy potions you can upgrade your gear to really high end qualities,.. same goes with making potions and enchanting. I even managed to kill Karstaag at level 1,.. and yes it was HARD and took plenty of attempts. What made me want to do this challenge was the simple fact that enemies scale to your level regardless if your main combat skills are low but your other skills keep giving you levels before you are able to get to the next milestone in a combat skill.
4 months late but I do say it's impressive that you killed Karstaag at lv 1. I would've given up once I found out his base level was 90. (I think. Some enemies scale with the player and other enemies have a base level that scale with you after the fact and even some like Miraak have a levelling cap)
Theres an exploit that allows you to accept and apply level ups one at a time while also buying a perk, regardless of how many additional level ups are available. This allows you to be a char level 1 while having smithing skill of 90 (for example), and then you accept a single char level up (instead of all of them) and buy arcane smithing. Now youre level 2 and can upgrade enchanted items. Then accept one more and get steel smithing, and can beat most of the game on legendary as a level 3 with steel stuff. I have a video on this exploit and im not sure if anybody else has done it before
Also the fact enemies level with you so they stay level one as well, an with how overpowered the claws are at level one this wouldn't be really that much of a challenge. The hard part of this would be constantly staying aware not to do anything to level up any skills, not the gameplay itself
It does, so saying at the start "0 experience" was wrong but he'd still be at level 1 as it takes a whole lot more than that to level up. Still an entertaining video
@@tbotalpha8133 Partial Skill xp can still be removed by going to prison and sleeping it off. Spiff leveling up a skill tree means it's an impure lvl 1 challenge, and he did state, no skill level ups, true level one, which he sadly failed.

I did the same thing, but in my case I just discovered the level up mechanic when I was in skuldafn. English is not my first language and I didn't know English at that time.

Imagine your friend slowly and aggressively transforms into a horrifying beast with blatantly magic shadows and pure evil surrounding him the entire time. He looks down with a snarl you’ve never heard from any sort of animal before. And his glowing eyes filled with death stare into yours and he says only one thing….. “hey bro I wanna trade sum stuff.”
I remember when oblivion came out, and as an impatient teen I had no idea sleeping = the level up system, so I'd spent hours playing (struggling as a level 1) when I'd finally realised I must of got 20+ levels in one go
The great thing is that the enemies won't scale to higher levels since he's level one so he has the damage of a endgame player while fighting level one enemies
The enemies only scale within a preset range of levels depending on the enemy, so while some may be level 1 most are higher as their minimum level is higher.

I love that the random dungeon you went into after the Lord Stone was the Dawnguard dungeon with Serana. Come to think of it, werewolf and vampire could be a solid way to win at level 1.
Also there is a fun feature of the game how you can be a Werewolf and Vampire together. Join the Companions becoming a Werewolf and during the Dawnguard DLC take the Potions of Blood from Harkon's Castle and with Serana as follower, give her the Potions of Blood. She uses one in the middle of combat and you will have become a Werewolf Vampire.
@@DefectivePieceofChalk not vampire, because you can't normally get vampire till you're able to do some dawnguard stuff and that starts at what, level 14? you can also still do melee vamp stuff, though the sunlight penalties kinda suck. as for werewolves not being able to equip gear, that's kinda the point for a run like this - they've got natural armor and healing built in with opening up bandits like a lunchable. werewolves are more sturdy than leather armor or other similar low level gear anyway. and you can't get hit in light/heavy armor without gaining light/heavy armor exp, so if you're going for a no exp route AS WELL, werewolf's better than nekkid. literally the only thing you're missing out on is a ring and amulet that you can't buy, or whatever enchanted robes you can find which are mostly using magic based so don't actually matter. it's basically a unarmed, naked, no magic, no making potions, no buying anything, no making food, etc run. werewolf's not exactly slowing your roll in any way... in fact, it's basically doubling/tripling your health/stamina, doubling your damage, providing far more damage and armor probably possible in this run, giving you a bit of an attack speed bonus, AND healing which otherwise would be a PITA as you're limited to basically picking vegis, eating raw meat, or found potions.
@@leeman27534 I actually finished a run like this, but glitchless. Inspired by this video. I was wrong about the vampire lord stuff. You can start Dawnguard manually at any level by talking to Agmaer in Dayspring Canyon. It's pretty much the first thing I tested. Base werewolf form is less damage than khajiit unarmed damage, even without gear. The extra resistance helps a bit though so you could go that route if you really want to, or if yiu don't have Dawnguard. But you can only transform once a day, which is a big drawback. Alternatively you can unlock vampire lord right at the start of the game, then do a few sidequests until you get the ring of the beast and later on, the amulet of bats. You can level up the vampire lord perk tree because it works off kills, not experience. And vampire lord transformation does not have a cooldown. You can pop in and out whenever you want. A max rank vampire lord has decent self healing, a caster form that amps up that self healing and lets you kite hostiles around (you will need it) and a melee form that lets you wreck enemies. So I'd say vampire lord is definitely the best option. Most, but not all enemies scale down. You'll know when you fight them. Having Serana as a follower helps a lot. She's fine with your transformations, unlike most followers, she's surprisingly potent in combat and you can let her engage first as she's essential. I finished Dawnguard, Dragonborn and the base main story quests at level 1. If you go all the way, Miraak's robe is very nice for when you're not transformed. Not to mention several black book perks.
I'm surprised you didn't go and grab the rings of blood magic, specifically the ring of the beast; 100 health and 20 unarmed damage. Plus vampire lord at level 1 is op

fortify unarmed rings? wait, that gains you enchanting experience. Shouts, I suppose, plus talos amulets and jail item stack glitch. That alone could probably get you by. Rings of health, backpacks, amulets of talos, seems like it would all do just fine.
@@Patrick_The_Pure eh, i don't think having mods fails the challenge, really. i mean, if they were ridiculous, maybe. also, the anniversary edition apparently does add things like fortify unarmed rings and backpacks to the game. he also still did it at level 1, even if he intended to get no exp. also, if you were thinking this was actually meant to be a 'challenge', you're on the wrong channel, man. this was 'how badly can i break the game, following these rules'
I've done this myself, the leveling isn't forced, so you overpower your enemies after a few hours because you take and do far less and more damage than anything around you without really even trying.
As others have pointed out, he failed the no xp challenge by bartering, but he could have become a vampire (stage four vampirism gives +20 unarmed damage) and completed the Dawnguard DLC to get the Ring of the Beast (+100 hp and +20 unarmed) and gotten similar results.

It's better to use the Rings of Blood Magic from Dawnguard. Not only do you not need to buy or enchant anything, avoiding any XP gain, they give you more bonuses and the questline already gives you the vampire lord form for the equipping glitch. Ring of the Beast gives you bonus health and unarmed damage. Intended to only work in vampire lord form, but works anyway because Skyrim. Ring of the Erudite bonus magicka and vampiric drain damage.

Most vampire skills are tied to a school of magic and would give experience. And while transformed into a werewolf, your equipped gear doesn't work.
I love the weird backstories he gives his characters
I'm surprised you didn't go and grab the rings of blood magic, specifically the ring of the beast; 100 health and 20 unarmed damage. Plus vampire lord at level 1 is op

If you want a fun time where you feel overpowered just used double flames and don't level up, your going to plough your enemies
Ahhh but that gives you experience WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!!!!
@@thespiffingbrit true but only your a god 😂
@@thespiffingbrit but you already gained experienced in this playthrough
The Draugr Deathlords in the Dragonborn msq say hello.
This was.. hilarious. You have earned a subscribe and a like. Terry should be well compensated for his good deed, lol.
Spiff you forgot that trading increases your speech skill (I think) which could theoretically cause you to level up!
Didn't buying the ring give exp to the speech skill?
Yes, I think so...
Yeah, it gives some Speech exp.
indeed it did
But the title of the challenge is beating the game at Level 1. So yes got some experience but still not enough to get Level 2.
26:05 “the boy cannot take a hit” cuts to Terry tanking a whole dragon 😂
Wait… all this time I though the Gloves of the Pugilist was the only item in the entire game to have the fortify unarmed enchantment (aside from that one Dawnguard ring). So how is it a ring with that enchantment would randomly spawn in a merchant’s inventory?
It's something new from AE.
@@alpacalover0Thank you. I was wondering that too.
whats AE

ahhh thanks, i stopped buying skyrim after ps4
Terry is the original Mr. T with all those amulets of Talos
I pity the foo that gets suplexed by Terry.
I love terry the tiger, and he is in no way threatening me or my family with the destruction of the universe or private property.
No need to fast travel, you can just go out and in quicky.
"Argh, it *is* most of my gold", Spiff whinges as if he hasn't published multiple videos showing how gold is limitless in Skyrim.
oh, when you said "most powerful level 1 character" that reminded me of the infamous "Pun-pun" D&D character.
a Kobold PC with the appropriate skills and the right kind of Familiar can pull off something similar to the "enchant-potion-loop" in Skyrim, repeatedly boosting his stats to absurdly high levels.
one of those skills is "wild shape", BTW.
Orc werewolf. Use rage then turn into werewolf. Most Op thing you can do at level 1 without gaining any skills.
Oh god this is powerful!
aslong as you dont have the dwanguard dlc which added werewolf skills
@@shay4261 you only gain those skills through feasting, something that's entirely optional
@@shay4261 you only get werewolf skill after eating people. So just don't do that

hmm...
Item duplication glitch thousands of vegetable stews. Nothing can kill you while you claw it to death.
In the original skyrim shouting raised destruction skill , in my current skyrim remastered anniversary edition the shout raise’s speech I believe
50-90% of the time put into these videos probably goes to the creative and fun characters that Spiff plays XD
"You're going to taste his fists of fury!"
"Wait, because he's a cat I guess its fists of *FURRY* "
Me: "But Terry has claws!"
