The music is pretty good. Not spot on, but good. The vox......no. Lead is rarely on the note and doesn't even try to hide it with runs. She has the range, but not the control. And the backup harmonies are just terrible. Remove the vibrato from the backup, lock in on the note and hold it. If you can't, then pitch correct the backup. Backup vox are like another instrument in the band. If its off, it sounds like multiple out of tune instruments. Damn nice recording facility though.
What's the name of this band? The mannequins? Yeah....good try but Journey as a whole is hard to cover. Why is the gal singing back to? Don't think I've ever seen that. There's no heart and soul in this effort. Neil Schon and Jonathan Cain both sang excellent backup really, couldn't hear much in this. Sorry guys but you got to liven it up!!
