MVP won't win the overall because he's not racing the last two North American races and will be focusing on road racing. I think he's crazy because the overall and world champs jersey are well within reach.

‘A year ago I didn’t wanna be alive’ really got me. I don’t really follow the sport but to see a junior say that as a complete surprise to me caught me off guard. So so ballsy and impressive what a hero

MvdP vs Wout van Aert was one of the best fights in recent cycling history, for as long as it lasted.
@@norgler584 Too bad that the period where they were both at their peak was so short. It was WvA would dominate while MVdP struggled early in their career, then they both were tops, then MVdP was untouchable since 2017 basically. At least 2 of the 3 world champs WvA were at times where MVdP had mechanicals or sickness.
@@norgler584 I also love that it was called "The Beautiful Duel". You know it's serious when your rivalry has it's own nickname.
@@SiopaoSauc3 The question is, could MvdP become as 'untouchable' in MTB as in cyclocross. We will never know, I guess. It is all too much for one humans life. But dropping worldchampions on slightly ascending slopes is a MvdP special, without a doubt.

Given his age and the length of time during which he has likely been subject to drug testing, I would say MVDP is an example of selection and genetic conditioning, apparently 3 generations is enough to make a measurable change in humans if you have the right base to start from. Kudos to him, and perhaps a good lesson for naysayers of eugenics.
you are not talking 'eugenics' but probably 'breeding' as with patatoes, pigeons and dogs. Or at least, I hope so.
