Don’t worry man. As far as Americans are concerned the entire east is the Midwest. By American logic Pittsburgh is in the Midwest. It’s as Far East as you can go so it’s clearly west. Ask an American , Europe is a part of the western world. They probably say that because it’s on the eastern hemisphere.

That's a gorgeous build... impressed with the slab, too. I guess with all the rot it'd normally be thrown away, but burning it out, cleaning it up and filling the voids with epoxy produces a fantastic result 😻
That is one if the best projects you guys have turned out. Also, I like that the boys are doing more on their own without the boss as it seems like more work is getting done that way 😀
This is probably my favourite project of yours. Great work! I also own everything required to build it apart from the $4000 slab. As soon as I find one lying around in my shop I'll be having a go!
I’ll be honest, I think we have different definitions of ‘basic tools’. Awesome build regardless. Edit: To be clear, I wasn’t meaning anything against the lads. I was mainly thinking of the welding shenanigans when I made this comment. But really I’m just mad that I don’t have a sweet as shop to build stuff in.
"He's got the whole world as his table" .. Seriously though a little less wood and a little more blue and it would look like earth. Outstanding project as always gentlemen.
John an the guys awesome job. Turned out very unique and very cool. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Hopefully the future owners get great use out of it for many years to come. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Keep making. Stay squirrely. God bless.
The table looks really good. One of these days I am going to jump into doing epoxy tables. But first I think I will start out with epoxy coasters. Much cheaper if I screw up, which I am prone to do. Excellent work guys. Hope for your continued success. Always fun to watch.
Of all the projects I've watched you guys build, I would say this by far has been my favorite. I love the backstory of the slab, and think that it is beautiful the way the epoxy and slab work together. Great job guys!
Holy mamma pajama we have all those tools except the welder and double sided tape in the garage. Thanks for the old school project. Yeah I can. One skill step at a time.
fold up wooden curing oven might be a cool (excuse the pun) to build, if mounted to the wall with wings and a lid you can store it away, it can have heat lamps installed. So when you next do a pour and build you can do it in a prebuilt level floor with a humungous drip tray underneath. If you are clever the floor could be a weight table so you know how much you have poured. Needs a built in CO2 extinguisher, Idea for a new build ?
We’ll done! I’m listening to the MFP podcast (around #55) and it’s great to see you put some of your business ideas in place. The boys working the projects while you’re out growing the biz. Can’t wait for the new course.
That turn out real nice guys. The translucent blue epoxy looks great against the wood. Not going to lie, I'd definitely have that in my house if I could!
I don't know....... did anyone else think that John was just phoning it in on this one? 🤔😋😂 It's definitely the best thing you guy's have ever made, in this shop and possibly in the old shop....... although there were some epic builds in that shop!! Maybe this shop only but maybe for the next month as well as so far👍👍👍👍
Excellent table guys! Especially liked the idea of the mold used and the way you went about making a circle from that. Any chance of selling off the remainder of that slab?
very nice guys, I like to watch you making projects, especially John, he is super role model for kids. glad to see you are keeping with traditions and are skilled and smart.
so i build custom concrete counter tops. Mostly really high end stuff. We do counter tops, tables, sinks, i mean mostly anything. Something we did in our shop is build these tables that are made out of MDF and epoxy. So its a full sheet of 4x8 MDF and we put some Strips of plywood about 1 inch wide along all the edges. Then we poured some epoxy onto the table basically cause a 1 inch thick layer of epoxy over the table. Before doing that we used a laser level to create a grid on the table with 4inch by 4 inch squared boxes. Once the epoxy was dry we sanded the tables down using a 200 grit up to about 1000. When ever we are making a counter or any custom mold really we just use Melamine to create the form. if its a 3-inch-thick table then we cut 3 inch thick strips and hot glue them right to the table top. Ofcourse we coat the inside of the form with a polish so that it does not stick.
I know I have a weird question. You do a lot of epoxy I experimented and I got a lot of bubble do you seal the wood or something before you pour epoxy on it to help reduce the bubble. I did use the heat gun to get rid of some but overnight a lot of them reappeared and I have been told this cuz I didn't see a little wood. Help
Hey john, you made a comment about the BEST flattening bit for mrs piggy a while ago. I have been searching for a link to it for so long to buy a friend one. Can you let me know what bit it is for the CNC that you like for flattening? Looked amazing!!
That tables stunning not massive fan of the legs made out metal legs are nice but think would been better with wood. Love the channel can't wait for next video. 👍🏴
Use the other part of your cardboard template that has the circle cut out of it you can lay that on your slab and right away see the round section you’re trying to pick out.
Doesn't matter the brand of epoxy. But I am severly allergic to epoxy fumes. Anytime I use it I wear a respirator. My allergic infections from it are total hell. But I'd say 9 out of 10 guys have no reaction to it. That's not to say it's good to breathe in. You'll always be better off using a respirator since I'm sure it has a V.O.C. rating like any wood finish.
Love the content! Is there a finish that you have used for furniture that is going to be predominantly outdoors? And I know epoxy will yellow over time, but will it show if the epoxy is tinted?
dude i want a boss as cool and chill as john

Jigsaw , router , sander ?! That’s Not basic ? haha
He said "basic tools", not "basic materials". Hence the 4000$ slab and the 500$ of epoxy 😂
Thinking around the same lines with the welders and power sanders
Yeah, I consider a CNC to be "basic tools" 🤣
Yeah agree a welder isn't basic. Or the pos flattening jig.
That build turned out SICK. Great job on that one. Way to start off the new shop

That slab was perfect for this, it ended up looking even better then I was expecting.
Really love watching your videos, you are an inspiration to all of us dummies who proceed like a bull at a gate. Love your work, Dave 🇦🇺
You and Officer Daniels can pass as brothers!
Beautiful.
My dad lives by Zion I'll be down there for his wedding in July. So excited to go I'm in Indiana 😢
I’m not really a wood guy though I enjoy your projects but I sub because your a Steelers man through and through and same here.
I love this table! The Epoxy looks like ice! My offer on those pens stnds!

Cool Blue Gatorade for the win 💪🏼
Sam the maker should have made a circle jig for the router! Lol! I had to say it! Love the table
Wonderful work. Thank you for the interesting and useful videos, we are inspired by your channel ..

Cucumber lime is the best Gatorade flavor, and if your feeling wild you can throw in a little bit of tajin!!!!
That looks great.
Beautiful, guys! Fantastic work! 😃
Stay safe there with your families! 🖖😊
Where would one be able to purchase that flattening jig???
I believe its a slab flattening jig from stone coat!
@@John_Malecki I actually found it on their site, thanks! Big fan by the way 👍

Wow, this is so true actually
Best project y’all have made for sure!
Man, the editor killed it on this one! Loved it! 😂
Hey was wondering what the rack system in a previous video was on the black F250? I have the same exact truck and was thinking I may need that lol
It’s a black diamond cover
never trust youtube woodworkers when they say only beginner tools on their project. that is some fancy stuff used there. good table as always👍
Yeah that's nice, would like to see one with a smoke gray epoxy
Is it just me or does John seem like the boss I’ve been needing in my life.
Pretty nice little table guys. Good job keeping it simple.
That segway into a paid sponsorship ad... *chef's kiss*
The most disturbing part of Jordan tasting the Rubio is Sam saying, “You did that “AGAIN “!
Keep your mouth off the finishes, Jordan!
Someone has to test to make sure you can eat it
Here 2nd doin #2
Turned out great...definitely learning from y'all so I can do it for a job

That is the coolest table i have seen you guys build 👏
You need to keep that Big Red One in more shots.
nice piece of work. thank you.
Awesome work, I love the colors. Nice to see the pour went well this time!
I absolutely love that table!

Let's be honest, glacier freeze is the best hands down.

Me: John sells 'Dammit Jordan' t-shirts? I think he's taking that joke a little too far.
