Ganassi just exercised their option in Palou’s current contract for the 2023 drive so that for him to move to another team, in this case Mclaren, the other team would have to pay out Ganassi for his contract or they keep Palou. Ganassi are just playing the contract game and win either the money from Palou’s contract or Palou for 2023, however, seeing that Mclaren and Zach Brown have cash to play with, I expect that they will pay out Palou’s contract.

I think that Mclaren will start to collect every driver from indycar
But in F1 Lando and Riciardo will remain in 2023
But 2024 i think Lando and Mclaren.will have to go a race in indycar to chosse what driver to get and writet on a list.
Oh man. How crazy would it be for Palou to remain in IndyCar in 2023, only to clinch another championship, then fill that vacancy in 2024? I think that's the play. Especially if Pato can't seal the deal. As much as I like Pato, I don't think he'll close on a championship as long as Palou is in the series.
Why do you hate Formula E?
Will probably make a whole video on that at some point
@@FP1Will Fair enough, it would be interesting to see how anyone could hate something I love
Just a suggestion, the fake VCR filter was very distracting while watching the video. Also the filter adds a flashing lights so a trigger warning would be appreciated.
he retreated McLaren F1 and said he's happy to be with the team.
Whatever, bunch of crap about some minor national series.
average DTS fan
@@jeder6915 I absolutely love me some Indy
but it IS a national series at best
and *comparably* minor to F1, the forefront of Open wheelers
Imagine calling the series with literally the biggest race in the world a minor national series
@@Huckle15 Don't bother. Some people have a compulsive need to shit on Indycar for some reason. It's really quite weird because I don't see people doing the same thing for Super Formula, a different single seater series that's mostly popular in one country. And I don't think I've ever seen anyone scoff at the existence of things like DTM and Supercars either.
@@gandalf_thegrey damn I'ma f1 fan but u have no clue what u are talking about at all. totally different series
According to Brazilian media, Palou is getting pulled from the car this weekend and Tony Kanaan will take his place in the 10 for Toronto. Here's the article from GrandePremio: www.grandepremio.com.br/indy/noticias/ganassi-cogita-tony-kanaan-rifar-alex-palou-troca-mclaren/
Yea that wouldn’t surprise me. Pretty crazy
Error...
Palou is in the Ganassi car at Toronto and qualified 22nd due to crashing. I think they're checking on Kanaan for later in the year.
