- Thought I'd take it upon myself to edit in Doomguy's one-liners from Brutal Doom into Doom 4 (2016).

So this is pretty much cannon after they gave Doomguy his official voice in Doom Eternal.
I've been considering doing this again for that game but, to be honest there's a limited amount of one-liners from the Brutal Doom mod that I used all of in this vid. If I were to add in these one-liners for some Doom Eternal gameplay (and maybe for some of the cutscenes) it would end up becoming awfully repetitve. What do you guys think?

Brutal Doomguy is unironically canon. And you can't change my damn mind. He just calmed down as he was adopted into the ranks of the Night Sentinels.
Oh yeah. With how he Glory Kills demons now, it's clear that he's 100% just being chill while doing this. I mean, Berserk now is the only time he gets full on PISSED.
1. Brutal Doom Guy is based on the Doom Guy from the comics, which he is in fact (somehow) canon.
2. Every mod of Doom can be considered canon now. Brutal Doom may be one of those.
My personal headcanon is that Brutalguy is in a separate universe similar to Doom 3, where the uac and the demons exist, but doomguy is just a comic book character. Brutalguy is just some uac marine that read all the comics and is a huge doomguy fanboy who wants to be just like him.
