    • @che8866

That’s a misconception. Canada looks exactly the same as the US no different. Even as a Canadian you can’t really tell you’ve crossed the border outside of signs being in miles.
Canada is just a smaller more desolate version of America. It’s easy to fall prey to propaganda that romanticizes our nation, i lived in europe for half a year and the whole time I was spammed with immigration ads from our government.
Don’t fall for it. We are not a better version of America, we are America, just smaller with our own flag for show. Our own parliament for show.
The most impactful decisions in Canada are made in Washington not Ottawa.

I'll take -45 over +45 ANY day! At least you can add layers, drink hot liquids or just stay home. High heat kills. Lots of people don't have air conditioning and with the planet heating up, that's a recipe for disaster. I laugh at people who say they LOVE the heat, but go from their air conditioned homes, to their air conditioned cars, to their air conditioned gyms. The real sad part is that one day the term 'extreme cold' will be a distant memory. Then, and only then, will people dearly miss the good old days of -45 degree weather.
