  • Joseph Lemm was killed in a suicide bombing attack near Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan last week. He is survived by his wife and two kids, including 4-year-old son Ryan. Hundreds of uniformed police and U.S. military service officers lined the streets of Manhattan for the funeral for NYPD police detective and soldier Joseph Lemm at St Patrick's Cathedral, which was attended by NYPD Commission William Bratton and Mayor Bill de Blasio, among others.

@the terminator im saying we only remember american casualties, but we dont care what casualties other countries endured. and im talking about before ISIS, the israeli palestine war, iraqi war, etc. We side with the evil and forget about the innocent such as palestinian casualties. Ever heard someone from america go up on stage and talk about whats happening in palestine? til now palestinians are suffering from Zionism. No one cares. but if an american dies we cry. Gandalf, you are probably correct. John John wouldn't have remembered saluting his father's casket either since that day was his 3rd birthday. He certainly had seen the film footage numerous times before his own death since his father was the most powerful man in the world at the time. I always cry my way through the films taken from that day that are shown on the Smithsonian Channel. I was also 3 at the time of his death.

It’s amazing that we as Americans show such a great support for fallen heroes, they have passed on but will be remembered through there ideals, patriotism, and family/friends. Don’t take life for granted people your capable of anything another man did and they are also. Everyone may not come from equal beginnings but we do all have the same blood, heart, and souls.. I encourage everyone out of respect for this man and his legacy , as well as the millions of others who have bravely let there soul fight for humanity to treat everyone equal, race religion, hell even sports beliefs we all human guys and if you are doing something or believing in something that is not true freedom get tf off my planet your outdated.. you know if this means you and your the biggest problem we have if you can’t recognize it yet..everybody should simply get along, control those emotions negative and positive they are always jus a moment of the bigger picture so don’t do something stupid well your caught up in it. AMERICAN SOLDIER SONG !!
It’s not a priest that gives us our freedom of religion
And it’s not a reporter that gives us our freedom of voice.
It’s not any judge, lawyer, politician, preacher or teacher
But the blood of a soldier that has sacrificed by choice.
Our soldiers line up to be remembered
As the best of the best at their job.
They wish to be needed and depended on
To save all we love from the mob.
They risk their life and limb for liberty
Standing firm against evil unwilling to break.
To be part of something greater than themselves
They are willing to forgo whatever it will take.
